Amazing stay!
We loved this property. It was very clean and well stocked. The location was perfect, we walked down to Grandview beach every day. Lovely neighborhood. The beach chairs, surf boards, boogie boards, etc. were great for our older kids. The hosts were very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

It's kind of hard to write a review when everything about this property was as described or better. The location is great - close to the beach, quiet, easy trips to restaurants, yet close to I-5. The property is as described - everything was as expected or better. The check-in/check-out process was seamless. Communications with Steve and Laura were easy. They know what they're doing managing this property and it shows. I'll definitely return. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Fabulous Skyloft
Skyloft is an AMAZING property with a perfect location and beautiful views! Restaurants, a market, and Grandview Beach within walking distance. The accommodations were perfect with so many SPECIAL amenities (the welcome basket with wine, chocolate & popcorn; the garage filled with beach toys and supplies, and bicycles; the fun music and record player, etc.). I just can't say enough about this property. It was very clean and the owners thought of everything you could possibly need. They were also GREAT to communicate with and answered all our questions in a very timely manner. Thank you, Laura and Steve, for sharing your wonderful property with us and helping us make unforgettable family memories! We can't wait to come back!!

The apt was as described/pictured. Location was great, calm and quiet neighborhood 1.5 blocks away from the beach entrance. Steve was attentive and responsive.

Skyloft is Fabulous and the VIEW!
Skyloft is fabulous, the location is perfect and the view is amazing! The kitchen was well stocked, we prefer to cook at home and we had everything we needed! But if you prefer to eat out there are dozens of restaurants of all kinds nearby. We walked on the beach for miles every day and the beach access is less than one block away. Our sons used the weights in the garage gym every day and we all used the bikes several times. Unfortunately it rained almost every day but even the wet weather couldn’t dampen our enjoyment of Leucadia. The rain made us extra grateful that we chose a place as wonderful as Skyloft!!!

Awesome Apartment at the Beach
Excellent accommodation, just as billed. A block away, a long flight of stairs leads to a surfer's beach. Good restaurants nearby. Excellent beachy getaway.

40th Wedding Anniversary
It is a fabulous place. Owners Steve and Laura were very responsive. Very clean and well appointed. Welcome gifts were very kind - wine, popcorn, chocolate. Great kitchen. Music. TV. A wonderful view of the Ocean with great sunsets!!! Porch is great. We used the grill on the porch - fun. Music!! Easy access to several beaches. Lots of beach accessories in the garage - chairs, umbrellas, surf boards, etc. Easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping. Not far from Carlsbad and Oceanside. We hope to go back.

We grew up as family friends in the Pacific Northwest, and both relocated to sunny Southern California on our own in the '80s - Laura to Newport Beach, and Steve to the Carlsbad area. In 1994, on a snowboarding trip to Oregon with mutual friends, we renewed our friendship and were married on the La Jolla shores the following year. We have lived and worked in the Encinitas area ever since – we absolutely love the weather, the beaches, the community vibe, and the location just doesn’t get much better. We love to cook, travel, meet people, and create & share new places with others.
