Tremendous place to stay

We were 4 people - two adults and two children, and we stayed here for 2 nights as a base for skiing 2 days at Sun Peaks. It was 45 minute drive to Sun Peaks with light traffic and clear roads (in February). There had been snow earlier in the week but the roads were fine. The "Pool House" is detached from the main house which is on the other side of the pool, which is closed in the winter (covered with a tarp and a blanket of snow). I was impressed with the quality of construction, which lived up to the pictures. Good quality appliances and everything you need to cook your own meals. It was winter and there were snow shoes available for us to use, with a public trail adjoining the property. There are no houses on one side so there is an unobstructed view of the valley, which is showcased through large double height windows. If you are looking for a romantic getaway for 2 people the layout works great, but for four people there is not a lot of privacy since the upstairs bedroom is a loft, but we knew that and its okay for a family. The loft is mainly for sleeping, so since our kids were going to bed earlier we (adults) slept on the pull out couch. One downside of the big window wall showcasing the lovely view was that on moonlit nights it does not get that dark, so bring eye-masks for sleeping if you need darkness to sleep. Did not bother me, but my better half wished that she had brought her sleeping mask. We skied two days so we did not have time to use the snow shoes but we would have loved to have explored the trail if we had had more time. There is a small convenience store nearby for groceries but there is also a Save On Foods and liquor store near the highway. It was nice to stay in a place that has what looks like a professionally designed interior and that was so well equipped. There was good attention to detail: for example, a Nespresso coffee machine with the coffee pods, a full set of pots and pans, dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher, laundry machines (which we did not need, but that would be helpful for a longer stay). My kids would not mind returning in the summer if the pool is available to guests. Wayne the owner happened to be away while we were there but he checked in with us by text to make sure we were okay. There is a digital lock on the door for entry and I don't know if it was because it was so cold, but we needed to pull the door handle for the deadbolt to move, but once we figured that out we were fine.

The space was super dialed and so clean.

Wayne was a great host. There was a bottle of wine left for my friends and I, which was awesome cuz it was my birthday. The bed was comfortable and the space cozy, modern and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot.
