Vidanta Resorts - Luxury Resort. Located approximately 4 miles from Puerto Vallarta airport and 9.5 miles from downtown Puerto Vallarta. This resort is the recipient of the AAA 5 Diamond Award. The condo contains a full kitchen, large living/dining room, two very large bedrooms (with daily housekeeping services). 2.5 bathrooms and a large balcony. There is 24/7 personal concierge service on alternating floors. The resort features multiple pools throughout the property including a lazy river, children's pool, water slide, wave pool and swim-up bars. Daily organized pool activities. Beautiful sand beach. Twenty-five up-scale and casual dining restaurants. Inter-resort transportation. Laundry service (full or self-service) is available within the building. There are two 18-hole courses on the property (one of which is available for 16 rounds of free play (tee reservations are required). Two free spa sessions per week are included. Convenient taxi and bus service is available to downtown Puerto Vallarta which is located approximately 9.5 miles from the resort.

My wife and I live in Wisconsin. I retired from the Logistics industry twelve years ago. After teaching full-time for five years, my wife was able to stay at home to raise our three children. After the youngest reached school age, she went back to teaching as a Substitute in the Middle and High Schools.

Why they chose this property

We purchased our original Condo on this property in 2008 after vacationing there with friends. We fell in love with the Puerto Vallarta area and especially the resort. We upgraded from our original Grand Mayan Condo to the Grand Luxxe Villa in 2013.

What makes this property unique

The size and beauty of the resort is awesome. The employees are promoted and rewarded based upon their friendly interaction and service to their guests. The many pools on the property are beautiful and include a lazy river, water slide and two wave pools. The sandy beach is large and comfortable. There are many upscale restaurants on-site. The sixteen rounds of free golf and two free spa sessions per week round out an extremely relaxing vacation.
