- on the ground floor: living/dining room with TV and sofa bed, equipped American kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet;
- and upstairs: 2 bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, one with a double bed, the other with 3 single beds and a desk. Wifi included.

Perfect for couples and families, the house is ideally located, a few steps from the center, shops and restaurants, and facing the sea with access in 2 minutes by an alley on the beach of St Germain sur Ay, in the swimming area supervised by the SNSM.

You will discover the joys of swimming and fishing on foot, good air without pollution, wide open spaces, trails in the dunes, and magnificent sunsets! Not to mention the islands of Jersey and Guernsey, Mont St Michel, the Viking castle in Pirou, the hikes in the cliffs of Carteret and La Hague... And our local gastronomy (seafood, salt-meadow lamb, Camembert cheeses Réo in Lessay, cider, Calvados...).

Please note:
- The house has been completely renovated in 2024 (all the rooms, not to mention the roof and insulation). It now offers great comfort!
- The house shares the land of the property and the access to the alley that leads to the beach with another house. And it's great for well-behaved dogs:) who love the great outdoors!

We had a wonderful stay at this freshly renovated and very cozy holiday home. The renovation was definitely worth it, making the interior even better than expected. The listing doesn’t fully reflect the recent renovations—inside, it exceeded our expectations. However, the exterior photos could be improved as they show the neighboring property and a path to the beach that no longer exists. The house is actually set back from the main road, and the “garden” is shared with several houses and also serves as a parking area. The listing could be more accurate in this regard. Despite this, there is a fantastic path to the beach just 1-2 minutes away, which we absolutely loved. The region is phenomenal, and the view from the first floor is breathtaking. The house is well-equipped, though we recommend bringing your own pots and pans if you plan to do a lot of cooking—the induction stove is excellent. The house was spotless, and communication with the hosts was perfect—nothing more we could have wished for. The front doors are secured with additional wooden panels, which is great for safety, but they don’t fully open after the renovation as they catch at the top. The beds were very clean, and the mattresses were good but a bit soft for our taste—though that’s a matter of preference. The WiFi was perfect, with strong 5G coverage. The beach and the surrounding coastline are simply stunning! Shops and supermarkets are nearby, making everything very convenient.

Schöner Ort aber böse Überraschung zum Schluss
Wir waren zu viert, Eltern + 13 und 16 jährige Jungs dort. Es war für uns eine schöne Woche. Die Lage des Hauses in einem kleinen Feriendorf ist schön, kurzer Weg zum Strand über ein Seitentor. Das Haus ist renoviert worden, neues Bad und neue Küche. Zum Kochen ist alles da. ABER leider gab es auch ein paar Einschränkungen: Nach Ankunft musste ich zuerst die Treppen, die voller Haare und Staubfuseln waren saugen und die Matratzen, die leider auch voller Haare waren. Aus den Fenstern konnten wir nichts sehen, außer weiße Schlieren (und ich putze meine höchtens 2 mal im Jahr). Wir hatten schlechten Internet Empfang, da der Router sich in einem anderen Haus befand. Wir mussten uns für das Internet raussetzen, je näher dem Nachbarhaus, desto besser der Empfang. Bei gutem Wetter kein Problem. Die Couchecke ist für 4 Leute zu klein und ungemütlich. Aber der Essbereich bietet Platz für ein zusammen sitzen. Zum Schluss hat es mich sehr geärgert, dass ich meinen Kultur Beutel an die Heizung im Bad gehangen hatte. Nach 3 Tagen kamen die Schrauben, die die Heizung fixierten uns entgegen. Dies hatte ich dem Vermieter direkt gemeldet. Für das Zumachen von 3 Löchern und das Bohren neuer 3 Löcher berechnet er mir 150 Euro und eine Quittung sei nicht möglich. Auf meine Reaktion dies sei zu teuer, bot er mir an es selbst zu machen, oder jemand anderes dahin zu schicken. Um mich nicht weiter zu ärgern habe ich jetzt am Wochenende überwiesen. Das Haus ist vor kurzem rBad und neue Küche

Long weekend in Normandy
We enjoyed our family long weekend in Normandy with our 2 children and our dog. The house was newly renovated. Nice sea views from the hous top floor. Directly on the beach, only the small garden gate to be opened. We loved it and we will came back 😊

Nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer les propriétaires. Un couple dynamique mais surtout très sympathique, comme un petit bout de notre famille. Notre séjour c'est extrêmement bien passé. Das Haus ist funktional...dringend mal renovieren ... Mann sollte such angeben dass 2 Hauser auf dem Grundstück stehen und dieses Objekt steht in der 2.Reihe dennoch gut gelegen ...aber fuer diese kleine "Lüge " waere das Objekt mit 500 gut bezahlt Dem.Ort 3/5 Strand und Umgebung 4/5

On aurait envie de ne pas trop en parler pour garder cet endroit pour soi. Une maison pas trop grande en toute simplicité .C’est parfaitement placé pour aller à la mer en 3 min à pieds dans une toute petite ville balnéaire toute tranquille. Nous reviendrons je pense !

Familienurlaub mit Hund
Bei unserer Ankunft sind wir sehr herzlich begrüßt worden. Christophe und seine Familie sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Haus war einfach eingerichtet, jedoch war alles da was man braucht. Die Lage war für einen Familienurlaub mit Kind (3 Jahre) und Hund perfekt. Man hat einen direkten Zugang zum Strand, der selbst in den Sommerferien nicht überfüllt war. Außerdem gab es nicht viel Verkehr, so dass unsere Tochter bei den Spaziergängen ohne Probleme mit dem Laufrad fahren konnte.

Leider ist das Haus stark renovierungsbedürftig . Die Räume sind muffig und im Schlafzimmer gab es Schimmel. Sehr einfache Einrichtung. Die Lage ist toll , allerdings dient der Garten gleichzeitig als Zufahrt für das vorliegende Haus .

Herrlicher Strand mit freundlicher Atmosphäre
Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt sehr gut. Es gibt in der Normandie viel zu entdecken und dss Haus liegt durch seine Lage recht gut. Cap La Hague, Mont St. Michel, Utah und Omaha Beach, diverse Städte und sehenswerte Dörfer sind innerhalb einer angemessenen Fahrtzeit zu erreichen. Das Haus an sich liegt eie beschrieben in einer Ferienhaussiedlung am Strand. Der direkte Strandzugang ist nicht mehr möglich. Zwischen dem Haus im Vordergrund,in den Bildern und dem Ferienhaus ist ein Zaun angelegt worden. Allerdings gibt es ein Nebenausgang, so dass der Strand in weniger als 2 Minuten erreichbar ist. An die Tide denken und sich informieren. Der Tidenhub kann bis 6,5 Meter betragen. Ansonsten war das Haus sauber und für uns passend. Als Hinweis: im vorderen Haus sind Personen min. 1 Jahr anwesend. Diese sind, wie auch die anderen durchweg freundlich, allerdings haben diese Personen bis zu drei größere Hunde. Insbesondere die Schäferhündin ist zumindest gegenüber andren Hunden auf dem Grundstück äußerst aggressiv. Das Laste ich dem wirklich freundlichen Vermieter in keiner Weise an, ist aber doch ein, für uns, wichtiger Hinweis.
