I was a little disappointed that no restaurants were open while I was there, I also only had one fan and had to fight to get the room under 75, but the room was very nice and very quiet. I never did find the hot tub. I also really wish that there was a smart TV for those of us there in the off-season so that I could watch TV with nothing open and no one around, A smart TV would make it so that people who stay there can log into their own streaming devices.
Great property only a short walk to the lifts. Pet friendly. Comfy bed, plenty of space, covered parking. Friendly and responsive management. The only drawback is the stairs up from the parking garage, and the hot tub and ski lockers are in the adjoining building so we never used them.
My son (15), pup, and I rented this condo over Christmas (4 nights). We live in Highlands Ranch (90m away) and were looking to avoid the drive each day to ski. So i paid the extreme premium and rented this condo because it was walking distance to the American Flier lift AND it allowed our pup Daisy to stay with us.
Overall the condo met our needs and was nicer than some of the other reviews were making me think it was going to be. The reviews are correct in that:
1. Parking is confusing. MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER YOUR VEHICLE WITH THE ACTUAL CONDO GARAGE. There is a magnet on the refrigerator about who to register it with. The management company doesnt register for you (they should though because i had no idea about this and got a sticker warning on my drivers side window, super pain to get off). 1 car can park in thr cobdo garage and 1 in the Ten Mile garage accross the street.
2. The elevator does NOT go from the garage to the 3rd floor room!! The only way to get your stuff from your vehical, in the garage, to the room is to carry it up the stairs by hand, or find a luggage cart and wheel it outside the garage, up a wheelchair ramp outside, then in a 1st floor door, then into the elevator. If its snowy then the cart will not roll ouside and you have to carry ALL your stuff up the garage stairs to the 1st floor elevator, then go up to the 3rd floor. This was very inconvenient as i brought a lot of things from home for us. Took my son and i MANY trips up and down.
Great location, couldn't be better if you want to be close to everything in the square. Check in was a bit of a pain, have to go to an office and they weren't very helpful when telling us where to park and where building was. Apt is old but it was fine. No olive oil, salt or pepper spices etc so if you're cooking don't forget to bring!! Pillows were super small and there were not extra's for the pull out so if you're driving I would bring your own. They forgot to tell cleaning service that we had a late checkout so they came in the apt while we were still there. Overall not a bad spot though
When we checked in we were never informed some cable company was coming by to install something. We only found out by flyers posted in the elevator. When the cable people did pop by we found out because we returned to the property (from being out all day) to our door propped open with the deadbolt. All of our belongings were in the room with the door wide open and us not home. In addition to this the installation took around 3 hours which meant our dogs had to be locked in the bedroom for 3 hours and our living room was unusable. We were not offered any compensation or heads up. Really left a sour taste in our mouth and for our vacation.
Nice little condo in the middle of it all. Condo was clean, dishes were clean, and things were as expected. I can say the only disappointment was having a large wrap around patio that we couldn’t use because it was fully covered in snow. But at the same time I see where it might be hard to clear that much snow from a balcony (where would they put it?!). Also, perhaps add a Roku stick or something so guests can connect and stream shows. All very minor things. Overall it was great for our small family.
never recommend, dirty and low garage, no elevator to east building from garage. room not clean, bed even not change clean sheet, pillow case and all bed, animal hair is everywhere in the room.
will never come again
Great location & access, but some important & avoidable flaws
The best part about this listing, which you can see from the area map, is the location. We had easy walkable access to the ski lifts during our stay, and this was really nice.
Floor space in the unit was adequate for us, and while the kitchenette lacks a full oven (something we realized only after buying food that requires oven preparation), this part of the accommodation was fine and met our needs.
The worst part about this listing were the beds and linens. Really poor quality mattress and almost unusable sofa-bed. No one in our party slept well for 3 days straight, which makes enjoying the slopes with the family difficult. This was particularly disappointing because it's really avoidable. Decent mattresses are becoming very inexpensive, and I've slept on better sheets at much cheaper places. A minimal amount of re-investment in this listing would solve these problems, so it's hard for me to understand why this hasn't been done. But, though the problems are fixable, they were also critical to the quality of our experience.
There were a couple of other more minor negative aspects to the experience. We were consistently able to hear our neighbors, which was unfortunate the night they decided to leave their TV on until 3:30 AM. Our floor also had a very nasty pervasive odor. It was like a combination of strange food, wet dog and cigarettes. The unit itself did not have this odor, thankfully, but it was strong in the hallway.
Overall, we had fun. But, the bed quality is a major deal breaker for us. We will likely find different accommodations for our next ski trip.
I had such a wonderful time in Copper! My place was perfect for myself and my dogs. I felt right at home and had everything I needed and then some. So grateful for my stay!
We enjoyed our time at this property. We bought a hair dryer because it didn’t look like there was one there, but then we found two more brand new ones in the top of the living room closet. I guess other guests had a hard time finding it as well 😂
Only 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in the unit, but everything else was perfect! Loved our stay.
This place was perfect for a long weekend in the summer. There’s a nice creek behind it to sit by while the dog does her thing. It’s right in the middle of everything but still feels secluded somehow and private. Will stay here again 100%.
We were wanting to stay in Leadville Colorado which is 22 miles away. The app and filters, unknowingly to us, directed us to Copper Mountain Resort. The directions on the address for parking were unclear at the management office. The property map is in need of an update. After getting parked in the garage, and into the elevator for our floor, we were informed that the west side where we parked was incorrect. Village Square is not a connecting structure of East and West. The east side of garage was our designated parking. Guess what? No elevator on the parking level. We had to walk outside around outside to exterior door and ramp to get the luggage cart. Ugh. Exhausted. The condo itself was sufficient for the off-season price. The staff member who was to extend our stay by one night failed to change our date of departure and that was annoying. We had to wait for a new set of rfid key cards to be delivered. Condo was clean except for the blanket on the bed, red stains discovered under the bedspread and the range top had food crusted under the temp dials. Bathroom was large and well lit. We had enough to towels. Kitchen was best with a good coffee maker, large fridge, microwave, plenty of cookware and utensils. Plenty of bed pillows, too. Comfy sofa and chairs. Lots of outside chairs.
When you want a quiet space to spend time away from the regular busy life, and don’t mind a minimal selection of eateries, this is a unit with a balcony view in Central Village Square with a ski lift and some mountains.
My husband and I had a great time skiing at Copper. The property was very clean and we’ll managed. Very close to lifts and located more on the East end of center village so it was quiet but was still very close to shops and restaurants! Loved it.
