Great Location, Super Condo

Great location for spring break ski trip. We had a super time (family of 3) and this large 1 bedroom condo with big outdoor deck overlooking base of Blackcomb was a big reason. The pool and hot tub area at the Aspens is big and very nice. Hosts are super responsive and helpful.

Wonderful View

Great view of the base of Blackcomb and the mountains beyond from the large patio deck. Only 300 or so meters to the Blackcomb gondola. The overall property is very big, over 200 units, so even though there are 3 hot tubs they get very busy in the apres ski hour around 4 to 5 pm, maybe 15 to 20 per tub, so go early or later. The description says washer and dryer, but is not in the unit. There is communal laundry on the other side of the building 5.50 for combined wash and dry. We packed light assuming it was in the unit and easiy accessible.

Ski birthday weekend

Honestly, the location of this property was the highlight of the trip. Truly ski in ski out, hot tubs were all working when we visiting as well as pool and it was nice that there were three so they were never overly crowded. Ski valet was easy to use and never took us more than 10 minutes to get our skis. Photos are very accurate, place was spotless when we arrived. Pretty much impossible to say anything bad about the place except one of the blinds in the living rooms automatic roll up feature was broken so we manually rolled it up, which was not a big deal at all. Loved this place, would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic Property!

We really enjoyed the Lookout Penthouse. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and a short walk/ski from the base of Blackcomb. It is a true ski in/ski out set-up where you are literally right next to the ski run and the ability to park under the building is a great benefit. Highly recommended!

We really appreciated the way that the owners of the property hosted us for our stay. They were on top of communications, got us all the info we needed and the property was in great shape with a wonderful welcome basket and everything we could think to need easy to find and available for us! The property itself is in a wonderful location and a tremendous value all around! Pool & Hot Tubs were in great condition, ski in-ski out access is excellent and havingvthe ski rental shop available in the lobby area was a bonus convenience we hadn’t anticipated. We would highly recommend this property!

What a beautiful home. When we first opened the door we had an immediate sense of “we have arrived”. What a beautifully decorated condo with all the essentials and comforts of home and the best view in the complex. The location is perfect, ski in ski out, short walk to the village. Could not ask for anything more.

Bright and cheery

My husband and I enjoyed the beautifully decorated, bright and cheery condo at the Aspens Lodge/Blackcomb. The large terrace and view out was wonderful. Enjoyed the ferry lights on the terrace and view out at night as well. Location was perfect for accessing slopes and pool/Jacuzzi areas. The bed was super comfortable! If you like coffee in the morning there is a Keurig machine as well as a French Press. Be sure to pick up coffee pods at the supermarket if you like Keurig. We enjoyed the coffee press. Kitchen was well equipped. Overall great unit and good experience.

LOVED staying at the Lookout

This is a lovely property with line of sight to the Wizard lift. My husband and I woke each morning well rested, made breakfast, skiied a few seconds down to the lift, and started our day! Absolutely cannot ask for a better location to reach the lifts or walk to the village for dinner. The apartment was well appointed and clean, plus such a nice vibe to wind down after a day skiing. There are also three hot tubs at the Aspens (really needed these!) and they have a ski valet so you don't have to lug your gear around. Kelvin and Heidi were very welcoming and quick to respond to emails. They had great dinner and activity suggestions that made our stay even better. Honestly if I could visit this condo again next weekend, I would go in a heartbeat!

Beautifully decorated condo in prime Blackcomb location

Great place for a couple or young family! As the description says, the Aspens are next to the new gondola at the base of Blackcomb. It's a short 10-15 minute walk to Whistler Village. The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is next door with their wonderful spa and bar. The owners have done a wonderful job furnishing the condo with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The Upper Village Market will deliver groceries to the condo before arrival. When you arrive at the Aspens, you should leave your skis with the valet (go into the lobby and turn left) and buy a parking ticket at the yellow kiosk at the left of the entrance. The parking garage has two "wings" - make the left turn after entering the garage. If you plan on using the vending machines or laundry during your stay, you may want to download the PayRange app.

Clean and easy access to village

Well appointed, clean condo with easy walk access to village. Would be great for ski vacation. Nice large deck for early morning coffee and late nights. Would point out two things. We booked this property because it listed air conditioning and parking. We usually just bus up to Whistler and walk everywhere, but this time we wanted to do some exploring, so we rented a car from Vancouver. We know parking is expensive so we sought out a place that listed parking. What the rental doesn’t say in the listing is it is paid parking. Not a space included with rental unit. Implied, but not stated, guess my mistake, but suggest put a $ sign next to parking in the listing so renters don’t make the same mistake I did. Lastly, “air condintioning” implies central air. The unit has a small portable unit that doesn't seal the outside, so struggles just to keep up. The days when it was 28C outside, it was nearly 100 F in the kitchen even with the AC unit running on full. We spent most of all mornings and afternoon out anyway, but could not have dinner or remain in the unit late afternoon because of the heat inside. Thankfully with all the windows open and the unit in the bedroom sleeping was good. I would suggest to the owners, black out or refective see thru sun screens in the windows, The black shades you have just intensify the heat when the sun comes over the deck in the afternoon, and be specific when you say you offer AC. Perhaps state you have a mobile unit for ac rather than central air. A deck, parking, and AC, were our 3 top needs for our vacation property, so this search had them all, but with some limitations or provisio’s Some clarity for future users. Regards.

Our first choice....and our NEXT choice!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this property and this will be our first choice next time! Surrounded by the mountains beyond with sunsets in the evening as our reward for intense skiing/ riding and our preferred destination for daily Apres! There is so much natural light that the place remains warm and cozy through the afternoon. Gas fireplace adds to the ambience. The property has been entirely renovated in the past year so it is nicely up to date. Well done construction and design. Simple and tastefully Canadian decor makes the indoors very comfortable. Kitchen is similarly appointed and satisfied our needs. There's a Keurig and a French press. There's a charcoal grill. Between provisioning at the IGA and delivery options, it is easy to stay in for dining. Good WiFi and cable. Bathroom is comfortable. Water is hot. No bathtub but the shower is nice and spacious, multiple shower heads. Double sink vanity. Well done again. Bedroom is also comfortable. Luxurious King bed with fine linens...faux bear skin rugs are a nice touch. TV/ cable in the bedroom. The location and neighborhood is certainly on the quiet side of the spectrum. Easy 2 minute walk to Blackcombe base and the Chateau (champagne and oysters at the bar, so good-- and surprisingly affordable). It's about 15 minute walk to Whistler Village on quaint path of paving stones. We also hopped onto the Chateau's shuttle as if we were guests-- no questions asked and were dropped at our choice of destinations...shhhhh!!!! Perfect for a couple. There are some pull-out sofa sleeping options to add two kids and that would be the limit. Theres ample closet space to stow your stuff and keep you uncluttered. Ski valet at the lobby. Boot trays in the closet. Three hot tubs surround a pool outside. Not a lap pool. Well thought out. Nice location. Warm. Attractive deck and views. We would love to return!

Unobstructed Mountain and slope view

We chose this accommodation because of the huge outside deck (the best deck on the property) over the ski slope with a western view of the mountains. It did not disappoint with a huge black bear ambling along the slope just feet away from us four floors below while we were on the deck. The condo was neatly appointed and well equipped. We felt immersed in nature but, close to amenities.

The Upper Village is arguably the most prestigious neighbourhood for those visiting Whistler seeking an 'On Mountain' experience. The Upper Village boasts home to the Fairmont Chateau and Four Seasons hotels, along with other premium shops, restaurants, bars and apartment complexes. The Aspens complex is directly on the mountain, with our unit being the closest you can be- the skiiers whiz past below the deck. It is a truly incredible experience.
The Aspens complex is also only a short walk to the Main Village where you will find your nightclubs, gift stores, and other ammenities.
Guests love staying at our unit because it is close enough to the hustle and bustle of the Main Village (a 7 min walk), but far enough away that you are guaranteed a peaceful and quiet sleep every night. There is also a free bus that stops right outside the complex.
