About this property

Lakefront Getaway in the NY Finger Lakes Region

My property (a main house and guest cottage) is nestled in wine country on Loon Lake is ready for the perfect getaway for family or friends. The lake is clean, clear and refreshing! The seaweed cut professional several times a week. It is well stocked for fishing. Jump off the dock or walk in casually from out property. The main house has three bedrooms (sleeps up to 7 people), living room with a futon, eat in kitchen, laundry on site and central air conditioning.
The second area, a quaint waterfront cottage, allows for extra privacy and has its own kitchen and bathroom with a wrap around deck and patio. Amazing views, outdoor grilling, relaxing deck, air conditioning, wifi and a private dock with a canoe and kayaks for you to use.
Our property is just minutes from NYS parks (Letchworth Park and Stonybrook Park are just 15 minutes away) to go hiking or tour the finger lakes wine country (Hundreds of wineries and breweries on Canandaigua (10 minutes), Keuka (30 minutes) or Seneca Lake 40 minutes). Other nearby places to visit: Corning & its Museum of Glass is 40 minutes; Rochester 60 (The Strong Museum of Play); Watkins Glen is 45 minutes; Ithaca 85minutes (Great Gorges); Niagara falls 120 minutes.

Decent

The main house is nice. Had one issue shower head gasket broke shower head fell off reported to owner. The Lake was nice swimming was good lake water was clean. Fishing was good caught Pickerel,Bass ,and Perch. The hill from main house to front cottage is tough for elderly. The front cottage has no fire exit,no smoke alarms or carbon monoxide detector is not up to code and smells like mold mildew. The town inspector in Wayland was notified. Would not recommend staying in cottage ..Wnotified.encodisagaialarms or alaramain

Great family trip location

This was a lovely location for a three generation family trip (ages 69-6). The neighborhood was beautiful and surprisingly quiet for lakefront properties. It was also an excellent location to take day trips to State Parks, wineries and other adventures. If your primary plan is swimming, the lake had significant lake grass that made swimming, and getting in and out of the water difficult (even with water shoes). While the grooming boat did come through often, the debris left behind was challenging to swim around, so we enjoyed kayaking, sunset watching and the general waterfront views instead. This did not deter from our overall trip but was not what we had expected. Communication was excellent and we would recommend property to others.

Great house

3 generations of my family stayed at the lake house for a couple of days. We had an amazing time both in the lake and on day excursions. The owner was very accommodating and provided timely answers to my questions.

Loon Lake House

Had a great time at the Lake house and cottage property with a family of 9. Was great being able to fish and kayak from the dock and the sunsets had great views. Main house had everything as described in the listing and was clean. Cottage worked out well for a couple who wanted more privacy. The whole property combined gave great camp vibes and it was a great stay for the week.

Awesome trip

Very clean, beautiful home. Molly was friendly and very accommodating. Great Lake for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Loved sitting out back and relaxing and floating on the lake. Especially enjoyed feeding the frogs that emerged from the outside wall earthworms every evening. Great location to wineries great hiking to waterfalls and two hours from Niagara Falls. Overall a great vacation.

Beautiful Lake

Everything about this rental was great. The lake was beautiful, we enjoyed the kayaks and views. The cottage is very convenient for grilling and hanging out by the lake. Some of the prettiest sunsets we've seen. The house was perfect for our group of 10, very comfortable and spacious. The location was ideal, we got to enjoy the wineries and hiking all close by. Good communication with the owners. Overall wonderful stay.

Covid safe Getaway

No traffic, private community, lake front joy. I have not been disconnected for more than 1 day; here, I disconnected 5 days straight. Neighbors took us out on their boat a couple times, fishing, kayaking, swimming, morning walks, day trip to Niagara, day trip wine tasting around Keuka Lake, and of course some Laff a Lot fries. So good, so needed.

Great vacation spot

Beautiful lake house and guest cottage. It has everything you need for grilling, swimming, campfires and skewers for marshmallows. Would definitely recommend. Only thing not enough of was washcloths to change daily.

Great Weekend Getaway!

I surprised my husband with a weekend trip to the lake. He loved spending time with friends on the water. The house was very clean and spacious and Molly was great to work with! We would love to return again in the future!

Great place to stay!

We had a family wedding in the area and found this home to be just what we needed. It was clean and we'll kept and the 20 something kids loved the boathouse as a place to stay. We all enjoyed kayaking across the lake and relaxing at the dock.

Nice lake..ok house... sub par cottage

The lake view is very nice. The house is ok as long as you stay out of the nasty garage. The cottage is old and has low ceilings with no internet. The grill by The lake was broken and dirty. The tv did not work for all 9 days we were there. At the end she kept $150 of our deposit claiming we had a dog. We did not... so it is a scam to make extra. Will never go back.

The property is roomy and clean. Main house has plenty sleeping area. Large living room and kitchen. 10 people group can comfortablely interact and not feeling cramped. Lake front and the dock were where we mostly hung out. BBQ grill, smoker, fire pit, mini kitchen with fridge and sink, benches and swings, even life jacket. Why they chose this property

This spot is a spectacular location for relaxation and closeness to a variety of different activities. The lake is a clean, spring fed lake in a quaint neighborhood community. On Sunday mornings in the summer you will hear church bells play before the service begins. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck or patio as you listen to traditional songs.
