We stayed here after we did a running relay with friends and family. It was a great house for lots of people and being right on the lake was fantastic! The house is well stocked and so beautiful. We had such a great trip!
The house and property were well equipped for outdoor sports and making yummy family meals. Had plenty of space to relax and on the flip come together and play family games. We were able to enjoy all the waters from our boat docked right at the house. Lastly quiet place to stay and yet close enough to sight see around the area.
We loved our time at the Twin Palms! We have done many rentals and it was one of the cleanest places that we have stayed at. They also have VERY well stocked kitchen and great amenities around the house. The paddle boards and kayaks were great to be able to use. Owners were very nice and easy to communicate with. Neighbors next door were very friendly. There was swimmers itch while we were there; bring baby oil to put on before going in the water and spray off when you get out!
This property was set up for several families to enjoy a perfect vacation together. There were plenty of activities to do on the property and because of location, we were able to enjoy the area, like hiking, atv/razor trails, kayaking, swimming..... Kitchen had plenty of space for multiple families to prepare meals. Seeing Bald Eagles during the day and hearing the Loons at night was the cherry on top.
Absolutely beautiful house and location. Rented a pontoon boat to explore Torch and Elk lakes, awesome! Swimming at the house was shallow. House has everything you need and more. Owners were amazing to work with! Would defiantly stay here again! Thanks owners!
The house was PERFECT. We planned this as a bachelorette/bachelor trip and the space was wonderful for the amount of people we had. We spent the whole first day on the lake. Its super sandy and shallow. The second day the guys and girls had separate party bus trips with TC beer and wine tours. They picked us up and dropped us off at the house. We have no complaints. I will say some rocks further out in the lake have zebra muscles on them and someone cut their foot on it. So i would be careful or wear water shoes! Otherwise we had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your home!
We’ve been coming up north for almost 15 years - so have had our share of renter experiences. This place is a gem and the owners (Derek) are simply awesome! We had a mix-up on the checkout date (our mistake) and they more than accommodated us to make sure our time there was great.
We’d give them 6 stars if we could!
Thank you for the fantastic week at your beautiful home! It was beautifully furnished and stocked with everything we needed, and more. Our family made good use of the kayaks, paddle boards, and other water toys, and we cooked on the grills every day. We used our boats frequently to spend time in Elk and Torch Lakes, and the shallow, sandy beach at the house was perfect for our three pre-schoolers.
The house was perfect for our family; we loved hanging out on the deck, grilling, kayaking, and just having a really relaxing time. Highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway.
The location is beautiful and right on the water. It is conveniently located with access to Traverse City. We enjoyed boating, kayaking, paddle boards, cooking outside and sitting by the fire pit. We had a few questions and the contacts were very responsive and helpful. Check in and out was very easy. We had a wonderful experience and appreciated all the amenities.
Our family had a wonderful stay at your home. The amenities were awesome! The owners were flexible about getting into the property a little early to place food in the garage refrigerator. The owners were great about answering questions ahead of time. The location was perfect; away from the bustle of Traverse City during the Cherry Festival, but close enough to go if you wanted to. There was a Meijer close by so that you didn't have to travel far for necessities. The outdoor amenities were amazing also, kayaks, paddleboards, life jackets and lots of places to sit outdoors for meals or at the fire pit. It was a totally awesome experience and my family of up to 18 folks during one day enjoyed each other without tripping over one another!! A perfect vacation!! And having awesome weather was great too! Thank you!
We have already booked to come back in 2023. The house was PERFECT for our group of 14. Well equipped and spacious, inside and out. The location on the lake is beautiful with a small beach and clean dock area to float in the water for hours on end. The toughest choice we had to make was which sandbar to hangout on.
This property was AMAZING - exactly what we wanted for an adult only weekend getaway. It's perfectly situated on a beautiful lake and easily accessible to grocery stores, shopping and restaurants (the casino is super close). The amenities were great - stocked with everything you would need. Check-in was easy, and the owners were very responsive to any questions. We will definitely come back!
Wonderful time - shared many happy moments with our extended family. Beautiful sandy shore to swim in - shallow enough for young children. Very nice layout of interior to allow each family privacy in addition to spending quality together time with everyone. Some bedding and linens needed to be washed - dishes as well - before using. Perhaps previous guest left dishes in that contrition - not sure. Otherwise very accommodating. Owners were very communicative and responsive when needed. Would recommend this VRBO.

We bought this house together as two couples looking for some secondary income. All 4 of us grew up in Michigan and have always dreamed of owning a home like this and by sharing it with renters we can!
Why they chose this property
This home was so perfect. We searched for almost a year for the right property in the right location at the right price. Great lake, proximity to Traverse and access to just about anything Northern Michigan has to offer in under an hour.
What makes this property unique
Our house is called Twin Palms because of some distinctive metal palm trees lining our view of the lake. At first we thought they were cheesy, but they have grown on us and give the house some unique character that nobody else has!
