We've stayed at many cottages on Lake Michigan over the last
20+ years. Have never seen a better view of the lake. Vintage
cottage, well maintained, hope to return next year.
You can't beat the view of the lake from the cottage! We saw a gorgeous sunset over Lake Michigan almost every evening. There are large living areas including the open living room/kitchen area with snack bar seating, and a large sunroom with lots of seating and tables for game playing. The bedrooms all have closets and storage. Two full baths is a plus. Spacious deck with lots of chairs. Don't bother bringing extras - the house is stocked with sand chairs, toys, everything you need. It's a short walk to the beach, 2 lots down and a flight of stairs - and unlike some areas that have eroded this one does have a nice beach to sit on! The only negative is that like most cottages there's no AC so the place can be toasty despite fans - we were there during mid-80's temps. And be aware that there are dog ticks around the house and property.
What a comfortable cottage it is, with a huge screened in porch, good kitchen, and pretty living room. We read the books, played the games, used the grill, visited town, and took a long walk at Rosy Mound, but the beach, the water, and the view were a constant. The family spent a lot of time on the beach, swimming and playing, and when we were at the house, the huge horizon gave us sunsets and storms.

Our Michigan Stay
We loved the quiet and privacy of the location of our vacation home. It was well furnished and had everything and more than we needed. This is the first time we have tried this type of family vacation but it won't be the last..
