Great location large house!
The house was great for a large group with lots of options for sleeping two families. The location was great for exploring LA. The house needed bigger dining table to accommodate everyone but we made do.

Nice Spot
For the most part, this property was clean and had most of anything we needed. There was a strong smell of what we think was a dog or some other pet that was bothersome particularly to some of my houseguests. Security was a bit of an issue in that some of the sliding doors didn't latch and lock well but nothing that I was overly concerned with. The outdoor areas were not very well maintained. Again, not really an issue because the weather was such that we didn't spend much time outdoors anyway. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, the interior was very clean (except some of the pots/pans in the kitchen which probably need replacing) and the host was very helpful and good to deal with. The neighborhood is great - very family oriented and safe and close to restaurants, shopping, etc...

We had a wonderful stay in Sherman Oaks! Super close to great restaurants, wonderful view of LA. Walter is an amazing property manager as well, he made our stay very seamless.

Misleading listing
Property owner has such restrictions on the property. They are very specific and detailed about how they want you to behave. However on the flip side they are the opposite when caring for their guests. The listing states there is a 2 car garage but fails to mention it will cost over a $200 security deposit. The listing states there are 2 beds in the master, was only 1 so one of us had to sleep on the couch. The home for how nice it is is poorly maintained. Blind holders falling off the walls, no blinds, many of the lights didn’t have light bulbs or they were burnt out. This unit is also not baby proof or good for elderly. Many stairs and no railings. There are a lot of wires all over the place and dangerous for the kids. The sinks do not drain well. Owner tapes signs all over of how you should maintain the property for them but again do not take care of it. Only good thing is location. Again they are very picky and don’t return the favor for them asking you to go above and beyond for them but don’t in return.

On the positive side, Walter was an excellent property manager. He was prompt in communication and very understanding and helped us with information. The property is in a great location in Sherman Oaks with great restaurants, grocery stores and sights nearby. On the minus side, the house amenities are not in good shape. Closet space is great in the master bedroom but none to limited in the others. The sliding doors in the upstairs shower are unreliable and one of them broke during our stay. Some of the mattresses need replacement. Furniture is quite bare. With some maintenance, this could be a 5-star experience.

Nice Stay - Improvements recommended
Overall, this was a good stay for our group of 8. This is in a nice neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants and grocery stores. Plenty of space in this condo and a nice open kitchen and the place was clean. There's parking on the street if needed. Decent amount of pots, pans, dishes, and seasonings in the kitchen. There is a nice patio area out back as well. There are a lot steps and this place is not for you if you cannot go up steps. The internet worked fine and there's a TV in most of the rooms. The check-in was smooth without any issues. The condo could use some improvements though. There are a lot of rules in this house. You will be charged $75 if you move a chair or a remote control or any furnishings and if you don't put it back where you found it. We had to be very careful and we took pictures to make sure that we put everything back. The place was very clean and there is plenty of space. This is an older condo that has been upgraded. They request that you remove your shoes while in the condo. Someone in our party slipped on the steps going into the main front room because the floors and steps are very slippery and we were in our socks. I recommend that they put something on the steps to prevent slips and falls in the future. The steps are also in need of some repair and appear to be coming apart in some areas. The small beds were uncomfortable to the guys because they do not have box springs but the mattress is lying on a sheet of wood. Most kids would not notice this but uncomfortable for most adults. Overall, a decent stay for us even though some areas didn't live up to expectations. We will try something different next time we are in LA but again, this was not bad. Just could use some major upgrades particularly with the beds. I have pictures but unfortunately there is no where to upload the pictures in these reviews.

Wonderful Stay
We came to celebrate my daughters sweet 16 with her best friend, my husband and myself. The house was absolutely wonderful! Walter was great, responsive and easy to communicate with. He made amazing restaurant recommendations and was so helpful with must eats. We will for sure be back to stay again!

Great Stay
Our family enjoyed our stay, and we felt safe on the property. I think there may have been a cleaning miscommunication because parts of the property were not clean when we went into the house. Also one of the toilets was leaking a little. If you have more than two cars, parking can get a tiny bit troublesome, we were told that the neighbors would call the police on you if your cars do not fit in the driveway (thankfully, ours did, so we didn't have to worry about that) This location is extremely close to Universal Studios and the highway, which was a blessing. I enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. It was perfect for a quiet stay. Also, Walter was INCREDIBLE at responding to our needs. We were missing the welcome guide, and he was able to help out right away via text. If you decide to go into town, we recommend leaving your car at the house and walking because at night parking is difficult to come by. I hope that helps!

What a Mess!
I usually don’t leave reviews however in this case, booking this property caused a huge inconvenience during our family trip. From the very start it was a complete mess. The day before we drove out to Cali from AZ; we were notified late at night that the property we had initially booked was unavailable until the next day of our arrival. We were okay at first since we were assigned to a different location just to stay for the night until the property we had actually booked was ready. However, our whole family was unable to sleep at night due to a dog CONSTANTLY barking. This went on the whole night. We couldn’t even find this property listed on the app which is a red flag! Once the property we had initially booked was ready we went ahead and moved all of our belongings; losing hours that was meant for Universal Studios. Regrettably, we didn’t complain as we were trying to be understanding of the whole situation. However, upon looking for toilet paper we were shocked to find 4 used syringes in the drawer located in the master bathroom! Mind you, I have a 4 year old grandson who was playing in and out that bathroom prior. I was so scared that I had to check his hands for any signs of finger pricks if he had touched or seen the needles. We took pictures and sent it to the property owner to report the situation expecting to have this matter resolved. But instead he pretty much responded that he would do better next time and that he would talk to his housekeepers about it. Basically just blaming his housekeepers and not owning part of the responsibility. This is UNACCEPTABLE.! As a property owner he should inspect every property listed thoroughly to make sure everything is in pristine condition. The way everything was handled from the very beginning was very unprofessional. It would have been courteous if we were notified ahead of time about the booking not being available for our arrival date. Doing this we would have cancelled the booking and it would have save us time wasted from our family trip. But it goes to show how greedy this property owner is.. I will definitely not return to this location nor book with the property owner ever again!!

Under-furnished and smelly
This home felt like a property someone purchased to turn a quick profit as a rental. They furnished it cheaply with thin furnishings. The kitchen was under stocked. The house was full of air ‘fresheners’ that didn’t make the place feel any cleaner. The location near our family worked for us. This house also has a lot of steep stairs and was challenging for one of our family members.

Great Neighborhood
This home is in a very nice neighborhood near lots of shops and restaurants. Upon check-in, there were a few issues which Walter the owner immediately responded to via text and even an in-person visit to drop off some supplies that weren't in the home as advertised. Our group of 5 adults was comfortable in the house. The house and its furniture, appliances, etc. are not brand new, you get what you pay for. Not sure all members of the group were completely satisfied, and attending to some of the basic maintenance concerns (broken air conditioning) once fixed, made our stay much more comfortable. There is a large outdoor area on the top floor that could be fixed up and better utilized, and some items would make the stay a lot more comfortable (a dresser in the first bedroom to put clothes, a set of hangars in the closets, some counter space in the downstairs bathroom for toiletries, etc). I enjoyed my stay and communicated well with the owner who tried his best to make us comfortable despite some of the challenges we had.

Not what I expected
I was definitely disappointed. The property wasn't fully clean. We found dirty silverware, hair in the sink in the bathroom and trash on the patio. The drain in the bathroom was clogged. There's alot of step to walk up so be prepared.

Amazing location with lots of room
This property had plenty of room for our family get together (7 all together). The outdoor balcony and terraces were lovely and provided a beautiful view. Walter responded promptly to our questions. Check in was easy and directions were clear. Plenty of parking on the street. A number of restaurants with delivery were close. Close to a number of local attractions including Universal Studios.

This property offers the best value in the area for what you are paying for, you actually get a lot more. Updated rooms, bathrooms and more. Recently remodeled. The home has gorgeous views and is centrally located in a very posh neighborhood in Sherman oaks with multi million dollar homes. Centrally located. Many bars and restaurants nearby. Perfect for business travelers. Family members and friends visiting LA for any reason.
If you plan to visit places like Universal studios, Hollywood, Santa Monica or Venice. This location is ideal. Average home in this area is $1.5 Million. The neighbors will not tolerate or allow parties or large gathering. They will call the police and owner to report parties and gatherings. If they do, everyone will be asked to leave and vacate the property and you will not be issued any refunds. If you are planning to entertain a large group, please plan on doing that somewhere else or at a club. I can assist you in getting reservation at any club you want in LA with up to 200 guests. This property is strictly for the number of guests it was intended. If that amount is exceeded without owners consent before check in. It will be considered a breach of contract and guests may be asked to leave without refund. We want our guests to be able to enjoy the company of their friends and family. We also want our neighbors to enjoy peace and quietness when they are home with their families and not be disturbed. This is not too much to ask. Owner lives on the same street and can be reached anytime.
