Beautiful Lake & Mountain View’s.
Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need pots, pans, condiments, coffee, espresso machine. Bathroom stocked with soap, towels, washing machine, etc… beds were cozy. Views were truly stunning. Hill behind the house was great for sledding in the snow, owners left sleds for us to use. Roughly 30 minutes from Waterville Ski area and ice castles. Owner was very good with communication and instructions. Driveways was sanded and plowed when it snowed. I honestly have nothing negative to say. Great getaway. Thanks :)

Return to camp
The house is wonderful with lots of extras. The AC was appreciated during a hot week. The patio was great to sit out on once the sun went down. It was nostalgic to faintly hear the boys camp up the street at night. Great area to explore on the bike. Close to Plymouth and Bristol but had no reason to leave the lake.

Great option for a dog family
Finding a vacation home that will allow a dog is no easy task. This was a great place to stay. Beautiful view and ample sitting space outside. The listing was mostly accurate- but you should know that AC/mini splits have been installed (wonderful!) and towels and sheets were indeed provided. We don’t believe the house is professionally cleaned. It was tidy but not super clean. My 70yr old mom was able to walk up and down the path to the beach but it is quite steep and you will be out of breath, especially in the heat and carrying beach stuff. But the beach was lovely. The golf cart was a great solve. Driveway is easy to miss off of the main road/highway but easily fits 4 cars to maneuver in and out. Plymouth is a 10 min drive one way and Bristol is a 15 min drive the other way. Recommend checking out the Polar Caves with the fam/kids. Thank you to the hosts for allowing us to stay.

Relaxing family vacation at the lake!
We have been vacationing at Newfound lake for years and this is probably one of the best spots at the lake! It’s quiet and set back from boat traffic, a perfect spot for kids to swim and play in the sand. The neighbor was a delight to talk with as well. The walk from the house to beach area is quick. My kids enjoyed running up the incline path to the house. The house itself had everything and more! Spectacular views! We spent most of our vacation time using the outdoor patio table and lounge area when not at the beach and a huge lawn for kids to play. Top notch kitchen and beautiful paintings of newfound lake scenery. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. We can’t wait to go back!!

Serene location
Our family enjoyed a long weekend here. The well located house overlooks beautiful newfound lake. The private beach was lovely - we spent lots of time swimming and kayaking (we brought our own). Tons of lounging area indoors and out. The property has a beautiful well manicured large yard and a few bird feeders. I very much enjoyed sitting outside every morning sipping a hot Nespresso listening to the chirping and watching the water. The newly remodeled kitchen was fully stocked. Our only complaint was the strong smoke smell. Not cigarettes or cigars but a strong Smokey fireplace scent most likely due to the large amount of ash sitting in the fireplace (enough to full an entire trash can). Our noses got used to it after a day. The house could also use a good deep dusting. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and absolutely would come back again!

Glorious!
Just an ideal spot on the lake -- we loved the walk down to the water to our private beach (unless the neighbors were there, but they are very friendly--we enjoyed spending time with them) and the lounge chairs on the patio with an awning where we could watch the lake and the sunset was my favorite spot all week. And a beautiful kitchen, nice shower. We've stayed other place on Newfound Lake and this was the nicest! It was a perfect spot for a family vacation! We hope to be back!

If you are looking for a spot with great views of the lake and area this is THE spot.
A lot of other reviews focused on the walk to the beach. It is about a 2 to 3 minute walk down a wooded path...so dogs don't go to other properties is my guess. To an almost private beach. The next door neighbor has a dock which abuts the property. Luckily they were not there. Only negative is after a long day relaxing on the beach you walk up a slight hill....to a great view. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Great house to enjoy Newfound Lake
The house was just as described. Lots of space for 3 adults and would have been comfortable for more. Being up on the hill provides a great view of the lake, although it does mean there's a bit of a hike down to the actual beach. It was not a problem for us but would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. Of course, they'd be able to enjoy the view from one of the three different outdoor seating areas or the picture windows in the living room (with tons of comfy seating). Marianne was a great host, available to answer questions as needed. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked, except for a lack of mixing bowls or measuring cups, but nothing we couldn't work around, and a great supply of spices and pantry items.

Beautiful Location
Very nice peaceful spot. The walk to the lake was a bit far but we got used to it. The beachfront was perfect. All of my boys loved the cove and it was nice to be away from all of the boat traffic while swimming. We would recommend this vacation home.

Great location and beautifully built home
The location was very nice and views were beautiful. The path to beach has taken a beating from the rains, but the kids loved the adventure. The beach was clean and water warm. The kitchen was well stocked, except for bowls and there was more than enough room to move around. The decor is a little dated and dusty in living room but master suite and bath were very nice. Overall we had a great stay.

Gorgeous, clean lake access
The house was as advertised. Very well stocked kitchen for cooking. Awesome outdoor area and grill. The beach and private lake access was perfect for our family to play and enjoy. They floats and chairs down there were a plus! The path down was a bit too rigorous for nana and grampa to join us. The master had a pull out couch in it that was perfect for our 3 year old to sleep and be near us. The heat was a bit much for us since we aren't used to humidity, but the house did have fans which helped. Marianne was super helpful in instructing us with how to cool down the house with the built in house fan. It was a bit too toasty for us again, just because we aren't use to the heat, but that's not the houses fault :) Neighbors on both sides of the house were lovely and all and all, we loved our stay! As others mentioned in reviews, it could use a bit more cleaning and upkeep over all, but we still enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

Spectacular View but in need of a refresh
The property has a spectacular view of Newfound Lake. It appears to be well loved with homey accents. The owners were very pleasant on the phone. However, they should fire the person cleaning it for them. We found coffee maker with old grounds full of mold, dishwasher full of unwashed dishes, toilets that were not cleaned, kitchen garbage that was there from the last renters, and carpets that were dirty and have seen better days. For the price to stay in this property, I expected a bit more. This could be a spectacular property if they got a new cleaning service and provided more amenities such as linen service.

A perfect spot!
We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay over Thanksgiving. The house had everything that we needed from it's fully equipped kitchen to it's spacious and comfortable living areas. The views are absolutely phenomenal, and the artwork throughout the house is beautiful. It was private enough that our dog could enjoy the yard and snow without having to worry about him bothering the neighbors. There's a fun private path that leads down to the water. The proximity to the Inn at Newfound Lake for meals was a bonus! Ann and I highly recommend this place and we hope to return!

Great!
The property and views were spectacular and everything was very clean. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer since we were traveling with my infant grandson. The master suite was fantastic and very relaxing! We did have trouble finding the beach so would like to suggest placing a sign indicating "Beach Access." A minor point: the kitchen countertops are quite dated with old tile and grout so that might be a consideration for replacement. Overall everything was great.

Husband is hands on carpenter and manager (retired from international VP of sales position after 42 years). This house was completely renovated and updated in 2021. All new interior finishes.

Why they chose this property

Stress just drops away as soon as you arrive here. The distant views of lake and mountains, the comfort, the privacy, the distance away from other properties, and great large indoor and outdoor family space. My husband's family visited Newfound Lake every year since 1950. The tradition continues through the fourth generation. We were the first in the family to own a property on Newfound Lake.

What makes this property unique

The setting. The views -breathtaking. The light. Tastefully re-designed interior, beautiful gardens. Almost everyone who visits loves this house and returns year after year. Some renters have been coming for over 10 years.
