This was our second time here and we love it. Beautiful views, comfortable, and as clean as you could ask for.
If you're lucky enough to get a rainy day in the sun room it's heaven.
Loved every second that I spent here. The screened in porch was my favorite part the chairs were so comfy! The outdoor space was peaceful and safe. I felt at complete ease the whole trip. It was just my bf and I but I would love to bring my kids here sometime as well. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook. Instructions for everything was well communicated. Even a note next to the windows on how to open them and it was so helpful! I really hope I get to stay here again. Just absolutely beautiful home and property.
We love coming here every year. Great fishing! Lots of bass. Beautiful foliage and got up and close with the great blue heron in the yard! We even saw the northern lights they were so bright! The house was nice and clean as usual we can’t wait to stay again!!
We rent a lot of VRBO stays in the New England. We were impressed with this property. Even though it was just the two of of us, this accommodation is for everyone.
Very clean, spacious and well appointed.
It was off season so was so quiet we felt we were we were the only one for miles.
Communication with Sue was excellent. Would definitely book again.
The property was very clean, and kept up. We locked ourselves outcone day, and the owner had it opened for us by the time we got back. This was our 2nd time staying here, and if we come back to NH again from Florida we might very well stay here again.

Sue is very easy to communicate with. The property and house are spacious and enjoyable. If you have little ones, the playroom is AMAZING. And for the adults, the screen room looking at the lake is perferct for quiet time. We've been renting summer houses for 15 years and this is one of our favs.
Comfortable and homey but ample space. The kids (ages 10,13, 14) enjoyed the board games and learning about the VCR technology. I really missed having my regular tv viewing options. I will say though, Sue has awesome taste in movie selections on tape!
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't all that great so we didn't spend as much time outdoors as we wanted to. The beach has a shallow incline and is sandy but did have have big patches of algea from time to time that "icked" my girls out but didnt phase my son. The girls loved the association pool though!
The property was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. So quiet and peaceful, at times we felt like we were the only ones at the lake. A beautiful spot to get away from it all. The only drawback is that you have to eventually return home :)
This was our 4th year here and our family thoroughly enjoys staying here. The calmness of water and perfect sandy beach for small kids, playroom, great fishing, nice big table for family meals. I love being right on lake so we can pop in and out of house as necessary no driving required. Sue the host is always wonderful and her communication is great.
I highly recommend this lake house! I stayed with my adult kids, and we had a fabulous time.
The indoor space is roomy, clean, and comfy, and we felt right at home. Tons of books, movies, games, puzzles. Everything you could think of in the kitchen! Lots of seating areas indoors and out so that we weren't on top of each other all the time.
The lake is gorgeous - we could barely see the neighbors' homes and the house is situated in a no-wake zone, so the boats going by were quiet. We spent hours at the the firepit (tons of wood provided), on the deck, dock, and screened in porch, and on the lake in the kayaks.
There were bullfrogs in the rushes, a bald eagle soared overhead several times, we heard loons calling every night, and were treated to a brief sighting one afternoon.
I was a little concerned that there's no a/c on the lower level, but it stayed very cool, even on the hottest days.
Sue was very accommodating (thank you for the early check-in and reminders about renting the kayaks!). She provided thorough information leading up to the trip and a binder full of info about the house, the lake, and the local wildlife.
This property was everything we were looking for for a family getaway.
The interior has a cute grandma's cottage vibe, and the kitchen is well-equipped with all the tools for cooking and grilling. However, the phenomenal outdoor space is what really shines here. The lake is easy for kids, easy to kayak on, and offers beautiful sunrises. Host is a lovely family that was very reachable for all our needs. Toy room and water toys were a hit for our niece.
For future travelers, the kitchen has basic spices and oils, but you need to bring your own coffee (drip or kcup). Bring your own toiletries, towels, and sheets. Enjoy! We had a lovely time and hope to go back!
The property is beautiful and perfect for a weekend away. We loved sitting by the fire and chatting. The only small detail was that there were no towels. I anticipated there wouldn’t be bath towels as we opted to bring our own linens, but didn’t expect that to extend to hand and dish towels as well, just a small heads up for others to note.
Best friend and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend of snacking, wine drinking, chatting, and reading books by the fire inside and outside! House was prefect and exactly what we were looking for!
This is our third time staying here and we absolutely love the place and location. There was great fishing and kayaking for me. This time I was recuperating from two surgeries, and can think of no other place. I wanted to recuperate then in the sunroom, reading a book overlooking the water we will definitely be back. I can’t wait till I can get into the water and kayak again. She was very easy to get a hold of the police was very clean and had what we needed.
Very nice place to stay. Very comfortable and relaxing. The beach was a great place for early morning coffee. Our kids loved all the toys and swimming in the lake. We look forward to staying again.
Wonderful well stocked property. Awesome location. Pristine lake. Great property
There were no children with me. however this is a kids paradise with the game room full of toys. And gentle sloping beach into lake. Definitely would recommend
We had a lovely time at Sue’s house. The sandy beach and beach toys were perfect for water play with little kids! And somehow the outdoor shower was about as entertaining as the lake. We really appreciated the pack & play and high chair for our little one. We talked a big game about watching a movie on VHS and never did, but enjoyed the nostalgia of looking through videos on shelves. Had a great time with the kayaks, also. Bonus: lots of loon sounds and sightings!
We’ve stayed here 3x now and have enjoyed each stay. Sue is a wonderful host, accommodating and seamless communication. The house has been perfect for our family with small kids. The Sandy beach access is great swimming and play for whole family. We had great success fishing as well. The house has everything you need and is clean and spacious.
Well stocked cottage on Locke Lake. Sandy beach was perfect for young children. Plus assess to other Locke Lake amenities available. Plenty of toys on 'toy porch'. Host was available if needed. Host pleasure to deal with and offered that we could check in few hours earlier if desired. Bring gate for stairway to basement area if you're staying with young children. Plenty of games, puzzles, and movies for entertainment.
This home was just what we needed. Not a thing you need to bring other than your clothes and food. Would return when ever we are in the area. Thank you Sue for the hospitality.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was as the description stated. The house feels like visiting your grandma. It was cozy, a bit out dated but that's part of the charm. We enjoyed the sun room and play room. The house was clean and the neighborhood was nice. The charm of the house is being right on the water and hearing the birds and watching the boats. If we stay again, I would forgo renting the linens. I thought the beds would be premade for us, but all the linens are just in a tote for you to make yourself. I would bring my own sheets to save the money.
