We had a wonderful stay at this property for two months. The views are amazing and the property itself perfect. Couldn’t change a thing. Christy was quick to answer any questions as was the property manager. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.Cathy
This was our second year staying here and we can’t say enough good things about this property. It is a beautiful home in a private, quiet location. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. The owners were available whenever we had any questions. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this property to others.
This place is perfect! We were visiting Tuscon to attend a football game at UofA and wanted a quiet place outside of the city to spend a few days exploring the area. Catalina is a very quiet and beautiful area north of the city near the mountains. The house is located on the top of a hill and is very private. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but there is a grocery store, restaurants just a few minutes away. Also close to great hiking and other outdoor activities. Highly recommend Catalina State Park and driving the back road from Oracle to the top Mt. Lemmon (definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle with high ground clearance to explore the local desert mountain roads). Check-in was straight forward, and the property manager was very prompt with communication. The house is very spacious and overall was very comfortable (the living room could use a sofa upgrade to something more comfortable for lounging and watching movies). The kitchen was well stocked and has everything you need and more. The outdoor space is the highlight of the property. Great covered patio to keep you out of the sun with amazing views of the mountains at sunset by the pool. The weather was fortunately very warm for late October so we were still able to use the pool, and also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub daily. The description and pictures of the property are very accurate. Will definitely stay again when we're back in the area.
This place is a gem for sure! It was our first time in AZ visiting family and we wanted to go somewhere that wasn’t congested with people right on top of each other, this was it! The views were absolutely breathtaking! It was very well maintained, very clean and had everything we needed. I was nervous about not having a/c, but the evaporative cooler worked so well! We had to layer up at night when the temperature dropped we got so chilly. The host was so accommodating with my many requests and I couldn’t have been more thankful! This place is literally an oasis with amazing views!! We have already started planning our next visit!!!
This place was exactly what we were looking for as far as privacy and views. The landscaping is beautiful. We used the hot tub, fire pit and pool almost daily. The pool is a bit chilly but with it being 90 degree weather it felt good once you got in. We saw little baby quails, tons of lizards and humming birds. I’d definitely recommend this home.
This was the second time my husband and I stayed here. We invited another couple to join us and they were as pleased as we were with the location, views from the property and the accomodations. We hiked, ate out and in and had everything we needed. Enjoyed waking up to the mountain view with our coffee and breakfast. Built a fire in the pit outside and stargazed. We even jumped in the pool for a brisk swim. We hope to be back again.
Entry road/driveway for off-road vehicles only, not well stocked w/ amenities (coffee, pencil/paper, remote batteries), internet/tv signal very poor, no ac/swamp cooler working and no heated pool. Noted book by front door where guests could leave remarks, with half the pages of the book ripped out.
Beautiful mountain views along with the privacy and location of this home were exactly what I was looking for to provide the relaxation and solitude I was seeking. Yet essential shopping for my two-month stay and a large variety of good restaurants were within an easy drive.
The property owner and manager were very attentive and pleasant to deal with.
Lovely home in a beautiful location; clean, well maintained and stocked with everything you need! Hosts are accommodating and available if needed. We highly recommend this rental !
Leading up to our trip, Christy the property manager was extremely helpful and prompt with answers to questions I had. The home was easy to find with a GPS—the hill leading up to the house is very steep, had to be cautious with our rental car (a Mustang convertible! 😂) going up, but we were fine each time coming and going. The home is EXACTLY as pictured. Well decorated, very clean, and very well stocked. Tons of extra towels, toiletries, and even some unopened, non-perishable food left from prior guests (pasta, Diet Coke, water bottles, plenty of spices to cook some meals at home). It was very convenient to have a grocery store just a mile away as well. Even small details like cozy blankets because it was very unseasonably cold while we were there. Too bad it was too cold for swimming, but the hot tub was nice and hot to relax in! It’s a little bit of a drive to get downtown, maybe 45 minutes, but it was nice to be off the beaten path. Great restaurants in the area (especially Wildflower, wow!) too.
We loved this property, and thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
Beautiful views and very private. We prefer to cook most of our meals on vacation and this property had every thing you could want in the kitchen. Very clean, lots of options for places to hang out as a group or to get some space when needed. Highly recommend.
This house was perfect for us! It was exceptionally clean and so comfortable! The pool was so refreshing during the 100+ temps. The hot tub was a plus in the evening and the putting green was another fun thing to do. We would definitely want to stay here again!!
Christy was very nice and always answered my texts back In a timely fashion!
The house was wonderful and the views were amazing! The only thing I think would be an improvement would be the living room furniture. Not the most comfortable.
Pictures do not do this place justice. We wanted a private place with views and a pool. Check. We started each day out on the patio taking in the mountain vista while sipping our coffee and the listening to the birds. Location was perfect to local hiking at Catalina State Park. The grocery store was within 5 minutes drive so we never ate out. We will be back.
Five day stay in early April warming up from a cold MN winter. Great location with scenic views of the Catalina Mountains north and east of Tucson. Great bird watching-mourning doves. hummingbirds, roadrunners, owls. Had 70 to 90 degree days to enjoy. Close to hiking, dining and shopping. Two nights produced spectacular sunset colors on the mountains. Enjoyed the spacious house.
This is a large home and property. Plenty of room for us to spread out and have personal space, or get together and play cards or games, and eat meals together.
Owner quickly responded when contacted with concerns and handled them right away.
We stayed here for a quick stay in between Christmas and New Year's and it was the perfect spot. Great space and we used the hot tub multiple times per day - my daughter braved the pool (it was a bit chilly!). The house had everything we needed.
Spacious, well appointed home with terrific views and light from all rooms. Great outdoor patio space with pool. Large fully appointed kitchen and renovated bathrooms. Very quiet and private. Saw the stars, the roadrunner ( renowned Arizona bird) and a very chill bobcat sunning himself outside of the pool area. All Very typical for Arizona—- never seen in NYC! Highly recommend this home for rental
Beautiful views, beautiful property! Even though fall is upon us we enjoyed the pool and the beautiful outdoor area! We saw falling stars, geckos, quail....listened to the singing birds. I absolutely love this place and the owner's are also wonderful! You won't regret renting this one!
This property has excellent views located in a hilltop. House comes fully stocked. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our family lives in Alaska but loves to spend time with our extended family in Tucson.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property as a way to have easy access to one of our favorite vacation spots and to thaw out from the cold Alaska winters. Did we mention the view?!
