This standalone cottage is part of the Island Inn, a lovely property only a brisk half-mile walk from the sandy shores of Joseph Sylvia State Beach. Golfing at Farm Neck Golf Club is even closer! The town of Oak Bluffs is only a mile away, with shopping and dining along Seaview Avenue and sunbathing at Inkwell Beach. If you're up for a day trip, make the five-mile drive to Edgartown, or take the Chappy Ferry to visit peaceful Chappaquiddick Island.

Whether you're looking for a fun game of tennis or a relaxing swim in the shared pool, the Island Inn has you covered. The homey confines of the cottage offer everything you need to relax after a long day out. There's cable on the flatscreen in the living room and free WiFi throughout the home. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up something tasty (including silverware, plates, cups, cooking pans, and utensils), while shared grilling and picnic areas provide even more options for dinnertime. Gather around the firepit when the stars come out. Tennis courts, plus racquets, and ball rentals are available at the Pro Shop. Tennis is available from May 15th through October. The seasonal pool is guaranteed to be open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. There is also a lovely on-site restaurant that is unaffiliated with the Island Inn.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Island Inn 21 E

Cute, clean and charming cottage. Check in process was easy. We were surprised by the daily cleaning service provided but no complaints to having fresh towels and bed being laid! Nice front porch but some parts were rotten, so felt unsafe to use. Appliances were bit dated but kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and crockery.

Beautiful unit

This unit is updated and gives plenty of room for a family to stay. The bedrooms are a good size, as well as, the living space. The master bath is a nice touch. The only complaint is that the front porch is very soft in some places… it is covered by carpet. Without that, you’d probably fall right through. Once the porch is repaired, I’d give this unit five stars.

weekend getaway

The house was perfect for a weekend getaway. 2 large bedrooms with a pullout couch in the living room. Covered porch was nice addition. Great location to Nomans for cocktails, food and entertainment. Quick drive into town or jaws bridge. Staff was pleasant and responsive.

Annual MV island getaway @ the Island Inn

Every year we come here, always Checked in @ the Island Inn, almost all kind of room stays we have tried , from the 1-2 BR to the one with the spiral staircase, which was the favorite, From time our 3 children were little kids , & now we have our grandkids, all 4 total , going into 5, we always chose The Island Inn. Why?? We’re so used to the ambiance, the coolness of the place , the cleanliness, friendly atmosphere from the island inn staff, , the easy & convenience of the area , the best ..!!! Island inn , we always have a very comfortable stay every time, except different experience.right?? 21-E the best of all , in terms of privacy, you’re on your own world, your home away from home.. some minor glitches. It happens, like in the kitchen. Refrigerator door won’t stay shut, we have to wedge a large H2O cooler so it stays close, so it doesn’t leave a cold Beverages , colder. . The electric stove , only 1 of the 4 burner works. So , our very friendly housekeeping came , told her all about it & kaboom Helped fixed some of it . Wish the other housekeeping staff who prepares for the next people who will stay , checks everything first. Make sure it all works , as maybe it got messed up when they were cleaning., the fridge door close it very slow ??? So the magnet works. & the biggie of them all!! The masters bathroom, the TUB ,take a shower & the water doesn’t drain If leaves your flooded foot in its whitest!!! You have to let the h2o drain , for several minutes, turn off the water so if you don’t have enough time to spare Forget it!!! Please fix this problems, Thanks, overall We will still come back to island inn. Anytime we get a chance as we are getting older . Enjoy life more !!!!! Thanks again.🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍

Cute Cozy Cottage

This cottage has been updated and decorated nicely in a beachy theme though the resort is older. Beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms was perfect for two couples traveling together. There was a laundry in one of the buildings which was convenient. The cottage was smaller than the pictures since a wide lense was used but overall it worked out. The fireplace in the living room appeared to not be in working for some time. There was not any coffee or any other things available like salt, pepper, napkins, etc. We used coffee pods and creamers from the office. We ate at the restaurant in front of the property and the food and atmosphere were great. However, they do not serve breakfast. We went into town to eat breakfast since we were only there 3 nights. We used Ubers to get to nearby towns which was fine. All in all it was a pleasant place to stay with a sidewalk nearby for long walks.

Nice Stay

The property was nicely decorated and we loved the "feel" of the cottage. Upkeep needed improvements - picture off the wall with nails left exposed, bedroom window unable to close (my husband went outside and pushed it down), decorative pillows looked a bit worn. Yet, those are all minor concerns and easily fixed. We liked the cottage and the location!

Great place!

Great get away

Lovely little cottage. Well equipped with the essentials in the kitchen including coffee maker, plates/utensils, kitchen implements. We made breakfast and lunch at the cottage, but did take out for dinner. Perfect bedroom set up for our family of three. Our 16 month old loved the porch and the property amenities (pool, watching tennis, swings). The staff are wonderful. Everyone is so friendly. We had a great time!

Wonderful spot and staff

We rented this cottage to celebrate my daughters birthday and could not have been happier! The house was spotless and the perfect size for our group of 3 adults..we could’ve had one more too! The front porch has cozy couches and chairs that overlook the property. The office staff was wonderful…friendly and extremely helpful with advice on how to get around the island and places to see! We cannot say enough about the wonderful restaurant on the property..Nomans ! The backyard games and outdoor setting was fun and the food was excellent! Both my vegan daughter, my non-vegan daughter and myself enjoyed all of our meals there (which was really the only place we ate) and the yummy desserts! They even went above and beyond when I asked if they could make something vegan for my daughter’s 21st b-day! The chef created a chocolate vegan cake with fruit shaped into flowers. The property is nicely situated to downtown oak bluffs as well as a beach. We walked to the beach each day and took a quick bus or uber into downtown when we wanted. Nice location! Our 4 day vacation was relaxing and wonderful..we will definitely be back.

Stay at this beautiful cottage at Martha’s Vineyard

Great location, beautiful property overall only complaint is we were disappointed the fireplace was not in working condition and had 2 large signs attached to the area to inform us of the fireplace out of order and the bath off the entry hall had a blockage of hair in the tub drain, we used the master bath so that wasn’t a big issue. Overall we had a good stay and enjoyed the experience. We would definitely stay again.

Great getaway

This cute 2bed 2 bath house was so amazing. Loved everything about it. We were only there for one day but wish it could have been more. Next time longer stay. Nomans restaurant was excellent and very convenient to Island Inn. this house was just the right size for 2 couples to live in comfortably

Lovely cottage, great amenities

Very clean and very nicely decorated cottage. Loved being able to spend time on our private porch. The beds were not very high quality. Nice staff, great pool and tennis courts. Lady who runs the tennis courts not terribly friendly though, not really wanting us to play with our child as the balls might go in to the neighboring courts... Great restaurant right next door. Due to COVID we were told that for stays exceeding three days housekeeping would contact us to come in to clean surfaces, which they didn’t do. All in all we had a great stay though on this lovely island and would come again. Would give 5 stars if it weren’t for the beds and the tennis lady.
