Our Lake Michigan Retreat home is only 2.9 miles to Downtown Charlevoix. Sitting on its own sandy beach, in a nature reserve, this newly remodeled Lake Michigan home offers stunning views and beautiful sunsets.
The master bedroom suite has a picture perfect view of Lake Michigan that you can view from your California King bed or step outside onto the spacious deck while enjoying your morning coffee. There are two other roomy bedrooms on the main level, both with California King beds. The lower level hosts a bunk room with two sets of twin bunk beds. The home has lots of natural light, beautiful whitewashed ceiling beams, and a very open feel. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and the dining room seats 10 people, which is perfect for those family dinners. There is even a wine and cheese bar. Northern Michigan sunsets can be enjoyed from the firepit area on the beach or from one of 3 deck areas from your choice of Adirondack chairs or from the long dining table on the deck that sits 10.
All of this, and only a quick bike ride to downtown Charlevoix or short drive to Boyne Mountain.

Family vacation

Family Vacation

Wedding week

Rented this property for our daughters wedding. The property is great and the location is amazing. We were a mile from our venue but the best part was the beach. The house is gorgeous well stocked kitchen and very roomy. The only negative we had was the nosy, rude neighbors. Other than that we are planning on retire this property next year!

Relaxing Thanksgiving Stay

The cottage was super clean and comfortable and the view was incredible. We spent a weekend over Thanksgiving during the COVID shutdown. The locations was convenient to Petoskey, Charlevoix and Boyne City. We found the bedrooms to be super comfortable and well equipped with hangers and even a luggage rack in each bedroom (love that). We made most of our meals at the house. We did find the kitchen to be lacking a few things compared to other rentals we've stayed at like a pancake griddle and hand mixer and would suggest upgrading the knives and pots and pans. We'd love to stay here again in the summer to enjoy the beach.

From the peace and tranquility experienced as you sit facing the lake from numerous vantage points to the full kitchen and Weber grill amenities available to cook and grill delicious meals as a family. Comfortable bedding, a cozy fireplace, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. They even had a walkway deck leading to the beach. No steps, no bluff, lots of thought into comfortable spots to sit and take advantage of the gorgeous view of the lake. Bring sand shoes for the water and enjoy the crystal clear water that’s shallow. Natural beach walks with very few neighbors, feels like it’s own island. Teri and Lauren from Northern Michigan Escapes were so responsive and helpful with any questions about the home or area and very professional with all necessary info for the booking. Will be back again!

Close to ski resorts

Property was perfect for family ski trip. Kids stayed in basement which was chilly but good for sleeping. Could use a better heater as kids played downstairs also. Though we hardly turned on the TV since there were plenty of things to do, I am a college basketball fan and was disappointed that cable did not contain MSU v Maryland basketball game. I think that a rental in this market should have ESPN and similar channels available. This was not enough to change my rating from 5 stars as I think it is a nice property and I would stay there again, but probably not during March Madness basketball.

Ski Trip
