Have you been looking for that authentic cabin experience in the Black Hills? Well look no further as you've found it with Pines Peak Cabin. Located in the Terry Peak subdivision, bring your skis/snowboards and be prepared to enjoy the winter experience many travels love about the area. Being only 10 minutes from Deadwood, you can easily access the fun in town and come back to your cabin and sip a beverage by the fire. Close to ATV/Snowmobile trails, you can access this long set of trails seamlessly and have all the amenities of home when you return from your adventures.

The home boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all set on one level with a large deck. The cozy living room has a warm fireplace and the kitchen is open and has plenty of seating. The master bedroom has a king bed, while the second bedroom has a full sized bed. One of the bedrooms does have a shower as well off the living area. It's easily accessible on motorcycles and has plenty of parking at the property.

It's the perfect place to enjoy your cozy cabin getaway with some rest and relaxation. Minutes to everything! A little more adventurous? Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park and Needles Highway is only an hour drive through a winding highway through the trees. Come enjoy some peace and quiet - you might just stay awhile.

Great little cabin, 2 minute drive to Terry Peak

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The support staff--especially Buddi, did a great job, easy to work with, prompt, professional, helpful, etc. Location-wise-- for skiing--this place is SUPER. As a ski specific cabin, I could nit-pick a few things...needs coat racks by the door, a wider front entry, better accommodations for all kinds of ski gear---especially places to hang and dry wet gear. Just not enough room for all that to fit in the front room. Keep in mind, I am a "dad" and was single parenting with two ski racing kids who needed to be out the door early each AM--and the first day we had freezing rain. I also cooked or prepared three meals a day here. THIS PLACE REALLY NEEDS A DISH DRYING RACK!! Besides that, the kitchen has the eclectic basics--if you are really into food prep, bring your own sharp knives and a cutting board or two...I found one tiny plastic one and a pull out wooden one that is marginal. Plenty of requisite "cabin charm" and nice bedrooms. Only enough wood supply for one good fire in the stove. The requisite hot tub was good (except for sketchy ice deposits on the steps...) and all the "modern" stuff like wi-fi and smart tv's worked fine. I would stay here again without hesitation. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is--however, with four paying adults it would be very fairly priced, relatively speaking. I'd say it's a little more funky than cutesy--but cozy, clean, and nice overall--and very peaceful.

Terry Peak Ski getaway

This was just what we were looking for, for a weekend getaway. Close enough to the ski resort but far enough away to feel private and “out in the woods” we enjoyed sitting in the hot tube and listening to the wind rustle the pines. Will definitely stay again!

Cozy cabin

The beds are a little softer for our comfort level. Great for a small family, seating in living room is limited. Great location for skiing, close but not too close.

Nice weekend away

The cabin was cozy but a touch run down, doors were hard to keep closed shower dripping all night. Minor things but still noticeable, the overall stay was a nice quiet retreat.

Nice location

Check in/ check out was easy, communication with property manager was prompt. Great location, nice area to walk the dog. Quiet, peaceful area. Close to Lead and Deadwood. Cean property, pictures are accurate. Would be a fantastic location if wanting to ski/snowboard in the winter.

Lots of motorc ycles in the area but they didn't bother us much. Lots of great hiking in the Spearfish Canyon area. Toured Custer State Park on the way to the cabin. On way home, took Needles highway. That is a must see. Beautiful area and the weather was awesome (55-60 degrees during the day). Cabin could use a little up keep but overall it was good!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was nice, clean and well equipped. We really appreciated the size and arrangement of the cabin. There are a few things that should be looked into. The front door doesn’t latch unless you are inside and can put your hip to it. The snow on the back deck, or at the least a clean, not slick path to the hot tub, I would think would be the least we could expect for the money we paid. The request to turn the heat to 50degrees is simply a **** shoot with only a dial thermostat on each heater. If you want it to be at 50degrees, then mark each thermostat. We had a good time and will recommend this location to anyone who asks. Thank you!

Fine but a few shortcomings

We enjoyed our time in the cabin and appreciated having two bedrooms and baths. Here are few concerns. * We were surprised to discover that there were no closets. * There was no shade or curtain on the front door window for privacy, especially at night. * The windows needed cleaning so that we could better appreciate the beautiful views. * The departure instructions said to lock the windows, but several of the locks were inoperative. * The front door lock was flimsy -- a deadbolt would be more secure. * The bathtub drain needs clearing, it was very slow.

If your looking for the party

This place was apparently party central we went to South Dakota for peace and quiet like the pictures suggested oh no party’s on both sides of us 1 house right in the front lawn till all hours of the night very loud also the house wasn’t up to par with how old and outdated the cabin was the grass hadn’t been cut in what looked like a month the hand rail on the stairs was broke and very much a safety hazard the air conditioning was not working and there was dirt on the comforter like it hadn’t been washed . I know I won’t be back very disappointed

Sweet, cozy place. Great for us!

We stayed Monday - Friday, to do some MC riding in the beautiful black hills. Cabin was great. We slept like rocks. Hot tub was clean and well-cared for. Pots and pans were convenient, we love to cook. Bring drink glasses/plastic cups. Well worth it, in our opinion! Would definitely return.

Terry Peak ski resort

We are not skiers. With that said it was still a very quite neighborhood and extremely easy to find cabins. And we still got to see the sights as we intended. Staff and help with the rentals were extremely helpful and knowledgeable on surrounding area. Oh also you are only 10 minutes from Lead, SD to get anything you might need. Beutuful area a must see.

Neat Place In Hidden Pines

The full size bed was very uncomfortable. There was a hole that you sunk to. Under the furniture and beds it was very very dirty. The sheets had blood on them. If these few thing were cleaned up and a new bed and sheets where replaced I would definitely stay here again!

Ok but won’t be staying again

Our stay was ok but won’t be staying again. One of the bathrooms toilet seat was dirty, laundry was left in dryer, the Roku wasn’t working but got it up and running after I ran an update, room temperature was hard to control after turning down baseboard heat (too warm at times which is better than cold) but was resolved by opening doors. One of the stove burners does not work. Needs new kitchen cupboards, refrigerator and stove. Overall felt cabin was not cleaned properly and needs a professional to come in and do some proper updates/repairs especially for the price per night. If that happens I think it would be a fabulous place to stay. Location was great and easy to find.
