100 Steps to the Beach…Pet Friendly

This comfortable family friendly home is directly across street from the beach.
Beautiful, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths fully furnished just 100 steps across from a beach access. This property sleeps 8. Beds consist of a queen in master bedroom, a queen in 2nd bedroom, double bunk beds in third bedroom. Large decks with outdoor furniture, table and umbrella. All three bedrooms are downstairs. Upstairs has open floor plan with kitchen, living and dining areas and half bath. Amazon Prime Video on all Smart TVs. Wi-Fi throughout. Under the house is a shower with hot and cold water, hose, picnic table, two comfortable chairs and grill. All linens, towels, pillows, mattress toppers are top of the line. We offer the use of boogie boards of various sizes. A 60 quart rolling cooler is also provided. We have beach chairs and an umbrella for the beach. There are beach towels located above washer. There is also a baby/pet gate and high chair and portable crib with sheets for use located in bunk bed room in the closet. There is an Echo Dot upstairs and in downstairs foyer so you can check in with Alexa and listen to music.
While smoking is allowed, it is not allowed anywhere other than under the house. Never from the decks. Disposal of cigarette butts in the ashtray provided, not in the driveway.
Kenneth Batts Park is just a little over a mile north. Enjoy playground, picnic tables, basketball court and marsh walk. Please see photos. Southsound Park is along the Intracoastal and offers a playground, picnic tables, lots of open area to walk along the water.
This home is on the beach but it is a great romantic getaway anytime during the year and great for holidays.

Topsail getaway

We love staying at Kona Winds. This year was our fifth year there. We love the seclusion provided by the trees. The house is always clean and the size provides enough space for our family. The chair with the lamp is great for crafting and reading. The kitchen is great because we cook alot.The beach equipment provided in the storage room outside is always useful to us. I have been vacationing on Topsail Island for 27 years and this is our favorite house to stay in.

Amazing Stay

The home was beautiful and clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and linens were all provided. We had our family of 6 with kids ranging from 4-19. We all enjoyed the nature surrounding the home as it was one of the few that still had wooded features surrounding. Beach access was super close and easy to get to. We would definitely book again for a Surf City vacation!

Great Vacation at Kona Wind

We absolutely love this home. It was exceptionally clean. Kristin and Tim supply you with everything you could possibly need. It has a fully stocked kitchen and a nice variety of spices. The bathrooms have fresh towels ready for you. The bedrooms have nice bed linens and the beds are extremely comfortable. The living room furniture is very comfortable with plenty of seating and a nice big dining room table for family meals. You are nestled back in the trees and setting on the upper deck makes you feel like you are in a tree house. There is a picnic table under the house with additional seating. The outdoor shower is very nice when coming back from the beach. The public access is just across the street .. it's a very short walk with a sandy walkway leading to stairs down to the beach and soft sand at the bottom. Down in the storage room Kristin and Tim supply a variety of beach toys, chairs, large cooler. Beach towels are above the washer and dryer. It is very close to downtown Surf City and if your looking for a place that serves great food you have to try High Waters. The girls there are the best and the chef is great. Kristin was a pleasure to work with and I can't say enough good things about this home. We hope you and your family enjoy your stay as much as we did. It truly made for a great vacation. Last Summer Beach Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great house. The hostess was very good about keeping in touch when we had a question. Every thing we needed was there when we arrived. It was just steps to the beach. The house was comfy and a great location, only 5 minutes from Surf City. We will definitely visit again.

This place was built for a family vacation at the beach. The outdoor shower was amazing and helped soooo much with sand control! The beds were comfy. The house well laid out. I cannot say enough good things but I hesitate to recommend it for fear we won’t be able to book it! Just kidding…this place is awesome!!!

Very nice stay

We loved this place! It was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. We were glad we didn’t have to walk too far to the beach. We loved the picnic table under the porch where we could hang out. Our labordoodle Maggie dog loved it too! This was our first time to Surf City and we hope to come again.

Wonderful property

This property was definitely on point. It was extremely clean and very well maintained. Amenities supplied by owner were above and beyond other properties we have rented. Location is close to restaurants and shopping but just enough of a distance for privacy. Beach access was just across the street and an easy walk for my 72 year old mother. Lovely Beach House

This is a great beach house to stay at -- fully stocked, even with towels and linens, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Beds are super comfy. Beautiful interior. Very clean. Tim, my husband of 35 years, and myself have always wanted a place at the beach. Tim's family spent many summer vacations and Thanksgivings on Topsail creating so many memories for his family as well as ours including our three children.
We have been empty nesters for about 10 years and decided we could take this challenge. I am the designated property manager (Kristin) and am thoroughly enjoying making this not only a home for our family but for all we share this home with.

Why they chose this property

We really love the south end of Topsail Island which is included in Surf City. We are just a short distance from all the activities 2 miles south of the traffic turn about.
We love the privacy the grove of holly trees give that the house is nestled in. Not only does this provide privacy but it also provides protection from the elements. The house sits off the road and so it is very quiet and relaxing.
We also feel it is a great property for anytime during the year not just summer.

What makes this property unique

This is a family home. Please treat it with care. That being said, much care is taken to create a beautiful, eclectic atmosphere as well as superior comfort as I only purchase the most comfortable bedding for all rooms.
Also, an Echo Dot in the living area and downstairs foyer makes asking about the weather, etc. from Alexa an added convenience.
