Thank you!

We had a wonderful four days in this property. It was a great location for all we planned to do and a very beautiful setting. Having the well appointed kitchen made it easy for us to do meals morning and evening and so make the best use of our time, not sitting in restaurants excessively. It was perfect.

Million Dollar View

The property sits on a hill overlooking the ocean and Port Hood Island. I am surprised that this view is not on postcards, as it is that incredible. The Port Hood beaches are equally beautiful and clean. Other excursions made on this trip was the Broad Cove Scottish Concert, Glenora Distillery, a round of golf at Bell Bay in Baddeck, hiking the Skyline trail on the Cabot Trail as well as Egypt Falls, Chestico Days parade, and more. There is not a shortage of things to do in and around Port Hood. The amnesties at this VRBO facility was first class!

Family getaway

We were very happy with our stay here. The view was spectacular and the beds were great. The property was in a good location, close to beaches and also to the town of Mabou. The owner was very friendly, recommended a few places for us to visit. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Nice view, modern apartment, but noisy if on lower level

Nice view of the harbour Modern building and furniture Well equipped kitchen equipment etc. Host was helpful HOWEVER , we were on the lower level, and there was very poor sound insultation from above, we heard every step they took, even thought they were not noisy tenants We would only stay there again if we were on the suites on the top level

Fantastic condo in a lovely little town

What a fantastic condo! The beds are incredibly comfortable, the decor is very tasteful, and the view from the unit is beautiful - even on the cloudy days that we had during our stay. It has all the amenities you could want, including a dishwasher and a coffee maker. There's a nice beach across the road and a walking trail behind the house (unfortunately we didn't have a chance to check it out). The condo is convenient to all the places you want to go on the west coast of Cape Breton - from Pleasant Bay down to Judique. There's truly nothing not to love about this place. We would have been happy to stay for more than the three days that we had booked. We'd give it more than five stars if we could! Thank you Rick for going above and beyond and making our stay in Port Hood so memorable :-)

Comfortable, convenient, clean, cool

We rented one of the condos for a week. The location was very convenient to the beaches, grocery store, and restaurants. Mabou and Inverness were a short drive away where you can enjoy square dances, ceilidhs, golfing, and more beaches. Fresh lobster and seafood were available at the Fisherman's Co-op in Port Hood. The views and the sunsets were spectacular. The condo had everything you needed. The king size beds in each room were so inviting. The decor of the unit was very tasteful. The unit was easily accessed using a code. No need to worry about keys. The week we stayed at Port Hood Place the weather was unseasonably "hot, hot, hot" and we were grateful for the air system which made it great for sleeping. We would definitely stay there again.
