This is a decent sized property with lots of locally themed decorations. The house is spacious, clean, and everything feels welcoming. The location is great, but may be diffcult to get to initially. The river is right by the house, and fun to walk into in the shallow parts.
This cabin on the river was just what we needed.
It had amazing views (we saw moose across the river), and a daily turkey that came and sat on the patio.
Would definitely recommend for your next stay!
My first trip to Montana was everything I had hoped for. Location was great, the chalet was PERFECT . This was such a beautiful place to stay, owner is great to communicate with, absolutely no complaints. I will most definitely stay here again !
Hidden down a gravel road is a great place to relax and enjoy a true Montana experience. Great cabin right on the river, enjoyed fly fishing 50’ from the deck. Guide boats pass by all day so you know there’s fish. View off deck straight into Glaicier National Park range. Inside was roomie, comfortable space. We grilled out on the deck, great amenities. 15 min to park entrance. Will be back for a longer stay.
Our family of 6 stayed there 4 nights. Was extremely roomy and comfortable. Beautiful log home. Location was close to Columbia Falls and Whitefish for restaurants and coffee but also remote on river. Big factor for us choosing it was river access 50 feet from back door for fly fishing. Caught several trout right behind home and also quarter mile up river where it narrowed. Great covered wrap around back porch on river side for sitting and eating. Steve the owner was extremely responsive and replaced the can of propane the next morning after it got low. I can’t think of a box it didn’t check for us. Great trip!
Very comfortable home. Spacious, Clean and well stocked. Very nice beds. Internet, Starlink, TVs with DISH Cable. Everything you would want in the house. The views are Amazing (on the Columbia River). 30 minutes outsode the west entrance of Glacier. Host very responsive. Be Back Soon! Thank You!
My husband and I stayed at the Glacier Chalet with our 17 & 19 year old daughters and it was absolute perfection!! We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the rafters float by and just enjoyed the peaceful sound of solitude.
The furniture is so comfortable, you sink right into the leather couches and all the beds were super comfy. Top quality towels and sheets were appropriated as was the shampoos and soaps left for visitors.
The location is perfect for access to GNP and all the local activities. We booked a fly fishing lesson and trip with Glacier Raft Co. and a scenic river float perfect for those who want to try something but in a safe easy way!
This was by far our best trip ever!
A Mesmerizing Retreat: Experiencing Tranquility at Montana's River Paradise
We loved sitting on the back porch watching the birds and taking in the natural beauty. The experience was truly enchanting, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect getaway.
Everything in the house is top shelf. View is awesome.

This is a spectacular home in a great location.
Really enjoyed the views of the mountains and the river. The patios were our favorite places...lots of birds to complement the great views. Hoping to travel back to this house in 2018. Owner was very responsive to questions and the house is extremely well maintained.

Lovely cabin
My husband and two children stayed here this past June and it was as lovely. The home was well-represented by the pictures and the homeowner took great care to make sure we had everything we needed, including updated weather/road conditions. Very cozy.

Wonderful time had by all
We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and beautiful. You can't get a better view...between the river and the mountains, you have it all. Close to glacier for the park experience.
The Glacier Chalet was amazing. It was so clean and nice and had everything we needed and more. The best part was the location ,though !!! It was sitting right on the most beautiful river with the mountains as a backdrop . We loved sitting on the spacious porch each morning drinking coffee and watching the ducks swim by with the squirrels and chipmunks playing nearby . We would definitely stay here again !

Glacier lover
Great cabin and location! This was a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated and equipped. We really enjoyed the location right on the Flathead River. It was easy to get to and from Glacier from the north entrance and a beautiful drive. We could sit on the deck in October and saw elk crossing the river in the mornings. The owner is great to work with.
Even better than we expected! The peaceful riverside locale was perfect to sit and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the area. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped with all vacation home needs. We hardly wanted to leave each day, but it was also an easy drive to multiple entrances on the west side of Glacier National Park, or for outings to Whitefish or Kalispell. This would be my first pick to stay again for future vacations in this region of Montana.
Relax by the river - while staring at the snow capped mountains !
The communication was excellent, the Chalet was large, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The large covered porch, however, is the highlight of the experience with the Flathead River steps away and the view of Glacier National Park mountains in the distance. We had a wonderful stay.
We left an important item when checking out in a rush - the owner personally retrieved the item and drove to town and shipped it safely to us . True gold star service and empathy for our situation.
We travel and rent frequently through VRBO so I rely heavily on reviews and I’m telling you you cannot go wrong with the Glacier Chalet. My only traveler comments would be be prepared for the somewhat remote location - and the yard is actually elevated a bit above the river , with rocks to step down on to get to the waters edge. The river was very high in late June - we fished from the bank a bit easily.

great location for accessing Glacier Park; nice log home on a beautiful river
Steve the owner was easy to work with. The home is clean and functional with plenty of space to lounge and dine. We especially enjoyed the deck overlooking the river. It was also very nice that the kids could watch a Disney movie (they have quite a selection!) in the evening in the separate, comfy, loft living room upstairs while we enjoyed the living room downstairs! Thanks to Steve and his family for sharing this lovely spot.
Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful home. The accommodations were perfect. The beds were very comfortable and there was even a pack n play for our grand baby. The guys tried their hand at fly fishing. The view from the porch is incredible! It was about a 30 minute drive to Glacier National Park, but we did have to deal with the road construction on the west side of the park which made it slower to get to our destinations inside the park. We got groceries from the market in Columbia Falls. The home is stocked with everything you need to cook meals there. Whitefish is also a 30 minute drive and worth visiting if you like to shop. Thanks to our host, Steve, for a wonderful stay,
Jill B.
