About this property

"Welcome to Ocean House 1701 in the heart of Gulf Shores on West Beach Blvd. This large 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit is the ideal spot for a family vacation. Notably, it features two master suites, both with balcony access. The king master suite with lagoon views and an attached bath and the gulf front master suite with balcony views and a Jack and Jill bath provide exceptional comfort and convenience. The third bedroom has two twin beds with an attached bath, ensuring a relaxing retreat for the whole family.

The complex offers a heated pool, adding to the amenities for guests' enjoyment. For Winter Season reservations (January and February), bookings made before October 1st require a 60-day minimum stay. Reservations made after October 1st vary between three or seven nights based on unit specifications.

Parking passes,
obtained onsite, are valid for 7 days. If the reservation extends beyond 7 days, an additional parking pass is required to be purchased onsite (maximum of 2). Linens are provided, though guests are encouraged to bring their own beach towels. The reservation includes a 'starter set' of essential items.

Professionally managed by Poole & Associates,
the property policies specify a minimum rental age of 25, require a photo ID at check-in, and enforce a no smoking and no pets rule. For monthly 'Snowbird' rates available from November through February, please inquire via phone."

Great Vacay Condo!!

This is a great condo for a family! It is right on the beach and has a large pool. You can rent chairs/umbrellas or bring your own for the beach. Sit on the large back balcony in the evening and enjoy listening to the waves or the front balcony off the master to watch the sunset. Great end unit with lots of windows!! We had a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Condo was clean, HVAC worked awesome, Freezer kept up with ice. Bring your own Large knives if you want to cut a watermelon or a pizza. Everything is exactly as advertised.

Great Last Minute Trip

Location is good, pool & beach access are great! Management company was easy to work with. Needs a deep clean & a new coat of paint. It needs to be updated overall but everything works! Cleaning could use some improvement - excessive sand on the poolside balcony, hair & sand in drawers, makeup on the shower curtain. Only one elevator for the building but it moves pretty quickly. It is a bit crazy during check-in time - the 3-5 window is not enough time.

Family Vacation

Great location!! Condo was spacious and fit our needs. Only a couple things could use some improvement....the dryer does not dry very well at all even with very few towels in a load. That becomes an issue when you have 8 people using bath towels and beach towels and having to use a key instead of a keyless entry is very inconvenient. If not changed then the lock needs changed it is very hard to get to work. Overall a great family place to stay!!

Excellent views, good location.

Short walk to pizza, ice cream and coffee, convenience type store. Easy drive to attractions, excellent views. Each bedroom has its own full bath. It was unclear from the pictures, but the “master” bedroom (the one with the King bed and whirlpool tub!) is on the bay side, with great sunset views not the Ocean side. So we gave that room to the kids and we slept in a Queen with the Ocean View. Also from the pictures we had assumed the pool area had a Hot Tub, but the small round pool turned out to be a “kiddy” pool. None of that detracted from a great vacation and amazing time at this excellent property, but it may help the next person to know it ahead of time. Thanks!

Details, details, details

This condo is in a great location. It has a lot of wear and tear. The bathroom vanity is delaminating, the walls are dusty, the ceilings are dirty around the vents. Empty nails in the walls where pictures should be hanging. Lower end appliances- The dryer took over 3 hours to dry a small load of towels. The biggest complaint of the adults in my party was the miniature commodes. All the adults in my group are over 5'8". They were fine for kids, not so much on adults. 2 of the 3 commodes were running continuously when we arrived, I informed the management company of this and someone arrived with in a couple of hours to fix them. That was great. My family rented several units in this building. Compared to all of the others our was the least favorable. I won't stay in this unit again.

Needs some TLC Desperately

We enjoyed our stay and had no significant issues. We love OceanHouse properties! Unfortunately, this condo is in desperate need of some TLC. For this price point, I’d expect more than a condo that has piecemeal updates (including a bag of open grout in the master closet) and obvious repairs that are needed. Light fixtures are an electrical hazard in the bathroom/shower area since they are exposed without a covering. Obvious water damage along the baseboards (maybe from Sally or Zeta) that needs attention along with a paint job. The door hinge has broken and punched a hole in the wall. The sheets had sand in them BEFORE we slept in the bed. The condo could use a deep cleaning. The dryer takes 3 cycles before clothes are even close to being dry. The fire alarm in the entrance hallway is detached from the ceiling. The A/C vent wouldn’t close in the bedroom overlooking the ocean. There seemed to be some pictures/art missing since the nails/hanging hooks were exposed. Since it rained all week, a smart tv would have been nice! I will say that if you have small kids, this condo works because there’s not much a little kiddo could destroy. We also left some baby proofing plug covers! If you’re staying here or choose to stay here, there’s one ugly fish decoration to be on the lookout for as that thing will stay in your nightmares! Ha! We won’t stay in this particular condo again, but we will stay at OceanHouse again. We thought Poole Associates were easy to rent from and work with.
