Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is a magnificent 5 star resort

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is a beautiful 5 star resort, and we will definitely go back! We’ve been to many places/resorts in Mexico and this was the best one yet! The resort was very clean & the staff very helpful and polite! Service was superior! The only thing we didn’t like were the aggressive time share sales Associates constantly pushing us to attend their meetings! Other than that, it’s a fantastic resort!

Good location in a large resort

Once we figured out how to walk around the property, it was quite simple to get around. The restaurants were delicious and the pools were perfect. All the employees were extremely friendly and pleasant to deal with. Bring $100 in one dollar bills and give them out like candy! I recommend the all-inclusive package. Thank you Annita.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Vacation

We absolutely love this property and the Jr Suite is perfect for two people. We always add the all inclusive package so we don’t have to worry about anything and take advantage of all the different restaurants and options at all properties. I did choose to stay in Building 40 since our favorite pool is there. There is a lot of traffic with the carts, pool and restaurant so if you are sensitive to noise and traffic I would choose a different building. We got used to it but it was very busy! Everything else was amazing! Thank you Anita for all your help in booking this for us. We will be back!

Relaxing Location

We had a wonderful time in the sun and warm weather at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. This is a great location for peace and quiet - very relaxing. Our accommodations were everything we needed and more. Great beds! We loved the block out curtains and slept soundly and long - much needed catch up sleep. There is a cooktop, sink, coffee maker and refrigerator. All the dishes, utensils and cookware needed if you wanted to cook in the room. We did a little of both. Got groceries from town and also ate in the resort restaurants. Sunday Brunch was fabulous. Edith's in town was a treat. It was a nice perk to be able to take the Resort Shuttle to the other sister resorts near the marina and beach. That puts you in a location that is much more lively if that is what you are after - swimming beach, beachside bars and restaurants. Taxis are also very easy to use. We used Whale Watch Cabo for an excursion and enjoyed that very much. See Trip Advisor for that review. If we go back to the area again we would definitely take a trip to Todos Santos for the day. There are many choices if you want to be active. We heard good reviews about every one of them from people who had done them in the past. We also took advantage of some of the activities on property. Highly recommend the guided hike to the Lighthouse. Here's a tip: as soon as you get there, find the Activity List. We found it at the Spa. By the time we found it, two activities we would have done were full. If you like to keep busy by the pool, bring your own cards and/or games/books. There was not a place (that we found) that had games, etc. that you could checkout/use. There is a great kids place with video games, movies, treats. We wished we had brought our pickle ball paddles and balls! The tennis courts have one with PB lines. Anitta was very responsive when I had questions. A pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property. Tip: Keep your receipts and check them (in advance) before your check out against what the resort has on your master bill. I'm glad I did - found a $120 charge that was not ours.

Lovely resort with exceptionally friendly staff

The resort had good food, was nice and clean, beautiful pool area and a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Loved watching the whales from my balcony. It is a bit far from town and you cannot swim in the ocean but you can always catch the shuttle to the Rose and be closer to the action and a swimable beach.

Amazing views, relaxing romantic beach vacation

Thanks so much Kurt and Anitta for sharing your rental with us. We appreciate all your help prior to our trip, with all our questions and advice. It was such a beautiful resort, we fell in love with it upon arrival. The views were breathtaking, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. This was our first time to Cabo, and we can’t wait to go back. We also loved the Sky Pool the best of all pools, but also enjoyed the quiet Adults only pool too. We rented a day bed one day at each, and it was well worth it! For food, we did do the all inclusive plan for a couple nights, and although pretty much everything was great, our favorite places to eat were 1) Quivira Clubhouse for breakfast- amazing views on the beach and golf course (we didn’t get there for dinner, but would next time) 2) The Market at Quivira for lunch- this is like a food court with a lot of options, and fun bartenders at the bar 3) Cibola at Montecristo for dinner or Tazuna. We didn’t get to the Rose or Blanco, but shuttles we took everywhere else where pretty easy. Everyone at the resort is super friendly. It is a huge place, and hilly, but like others said, take the golf carts if you need to. We enjoyed the walking as much as our feet could handle:) My husband played a round at the golf course, and he loved it. Also, if you are visiting without children, I’d recommend visiting the Pacifica next door, it also has a beautiful adults only pool (the all inclusive package doesn’t work there though). Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it. Thanks again Kurt and Anitta!

Stunning views

The resort is on a cliff and we enjoyed walking up and down to explore. When we were tired, we took the golf carts. They have many restaurant options and as foodies, we enjoyed all of them. The portions are huge, so you won’t go hungry. They have several pools and the Sky Pool was our favorite with beautiful views all around and a not-too-busy pool so that we got great service. We spent $60 on a cabana on our first day at that pool and that helped us relax. The beach here is too dangerous for swimming, so we took the free shuttle between resorts to the sister resort, Rose. There, we really enjoyed the additional restaurants and swam at the beach. We chose to pay for the all inclusive package and also spent additional money at the higher end restaurants. The extra $20/person was worth it. We regretted our 10 year old daughter wasn’t allowed in a few high end restaurants; the minimum age is 16 and that rule is without exceptions. So we didn’t get to eat at those restaurants. The other restaurants are good enough. The rooms are spacious and arranged well with a little kitchenette so we could buy from the store on site and used the kitchen at times. With two burners, real cooking would be difficult. We had three days of rain on our visit. When the rain was light, we swam anyway, but there wasn’t service at the pools on those days. The one heavy rainy day, we went to the indoor mall and then walked around the marina(when we had breaks from the rain). The marina was stinky; it must have been full of drunk people the night before, if you know what I mean. I wouldn’t take kids there. Be prepared for lots of mosquitoes and a slower, easy pace. Those were adjustments for us. Finally, the resort is definitely geared toward U.S. tourists with common American food choices and American music everywhere in Cabo. We loved our vacation and would return again.

Magnificent experience

I surprised my husband with what was our first trip to Cabo. I can definitely say that it will not be our last. The property was absolutely stunning and the attention to detail was apparent. Kurt and Annita were very helpful during our planning, very courteous and just plain delightful. You can’t go wrong with booking with them.

Wow, wow, wow!

This property is amazing, and Kurt and Anita were so easy to work with and very helpful. Everything was as expected and we couldn’t have been happier. We were down in a building right on the beach and it was so peaceful. The food was amazing every place we ate. If you want to go into town to shop you can arch the free shuttle to the Rose, or take a cab ($14). One thing I will note is that there isn’t any night life a this resort, but we were too tired with our days in the sun to care. We will definitely be going back!
