Situated in the historic centre of St Rémy this luxury penthouse apartment is ideally located footsteps to everything in the village - cafés, bars, shops, galleries and the lively Wednesday morning outdoor market.

Built in the 14th century as the presbytery for the adjacent church at the time when the popes were residing in Avignon, the stone spiral staircase leads you up two flights to the penthouse Apartment of Angels - L'Appartement des Anges.

During its recent transformation the original 14th century stone windows, archways and timber beams were discovered and now feature in this magnificent apartment in the heart of beautiful Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

Elegantly decorated in Provençal style and furnished with both new and antique pieces the oak floors in the spacious living, dining and bedrooms combine well with the exposed stone walls. The bedrooms have large comfortable hotel quality beds made up with crisp cotton sheets. Each bedroom has a private ensuite with large shower, white fluffy towels and adequate storage. The kitchen has classic timber and travertine finishes and is well equipped for self catering with modern appliances and large gas cooker.

Imagine you and your guests relaxing and enjoying the views of the surrounding countryside from the private roof top terrace while sipping on the wonderful wines of the region.

PARKING
Guests can have access to a secure parking space located about 200 metres from the apartment. After your reservation is confirmed we can provide more details if you would like to park there.
There is a free public carpark about 300 metres away. It's located behind the Police Municipale in avenue de la Liberation.
Metre parking can often be found in the streets nearby or in the carpark opposite the church. You will need to take a ticket from the machine and display it on your dashboard. The first 45 minutes are free and then it's 2€ per hour 9am-7pm. It's free from 7pm-9am. Be aware of any signs with "stationnement interdit" as it's forbidden to park here on the days/times shown, especially from 6am-3pm on Wednesdays when the weekly market is on.

Fantastic stay again in St. Remy!
We have stayed at this gorgeous apartment twice now and just love it! It is close to all the stores and cafes in St. Remy and we loved being steps to the Wednesday market. We really love the rooftop and enjoyed a lovely lunch there on a sunny day. This is a truly special apartment. Thank you!

SIMPLY AMAZING!!
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in a truly historical building—although the amenities are absolutely 21st century! Karen did an amazing job restoring this beautiful apartment and no details were spared. Our family of 5 adults were very comfortable and especially appreciated the well appointed kitchen and en suite bathrooms. The location in historic St. Remy is perfect. We walked everywhere! At the end of each day we climbed the stone stairway to our private rooftop patio where we shared a bottle of wine and breathtaking sunsets. We are so grateful to Karen for sharing this gem. Do not hesitate to book!

Perfect Saint-Remy!
Karen’s apartment is wonderful; with the 14th Century walls and doorways, we were surronded by history. The apartment is spacious, with comfortable bedrooms and large modern bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need. And, what a treat to be able to walk up to the roof-top terrace where you are face-to-face with the church steeple and can survey the city centre rooftops and surrounding mountains - and even see Avignon in the distance. Everything in the city centre is less than five minutes away. To top it off, Karen was so friendly and helpful, and even arranged a visit to her friend, Jean Paul’s, Chateauneuf du Pape winery. There can’t be a better place to stay in Saint-Remy!

A Very Special Place
This is a magical property in the heart of lovely St. Remy. You climb a winding stone staircase and two flights up you open a large old wooden door to discover a beautifully decorated and renovated apartment that retains all the character of the original building. The comfortable en-suite bedrooms each have lovely touches and modern bathrooms with walk-in showers. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed using it for some light cooking. Added bonuses were the little side balcony under the atrium and the terrace on the roof. The mistral was blowing while we were there, so we unfortunately weren’t able to enjoy the terrace, but we enjoyed drinks and hors d’ouvres on the little balcony. It was wonderful being in the heart of St. Remy with bakeries, restaurants, groceries and shops at your fingertips and free parking in a lot a short distance away. Also, the excellent Wednesday market is practically right out your door! Karen has done a fantastic job of turning this old building into a truly unique and special place to stay. We would love to return!

Beautiful apartment right in St Remy!
The apartment was beautiful and in an excellent and quiet location right in the village. Every detail was thought of and we had everything we needed. We loved the rooftop balcony with great view of the sunrise, moon rising and sunset! The beds were very comfortable and the living space and bathrooms were gorgeous! The owners' suggestions for restaurants were appreciated. We hope to return soon. Thank you!

We loved it!
Our family had the most wonderful stay in this apartment! It is beautifully decorated, even prettier than the pictures, yet still so comfortable. The apartment retains much of it’s original charm while providing modern amenities such as an updated kitchen and three updated bathrooms. The rooftop deck was a real treat. It is in a great location right in the center of St. Remy. Karen is a terrific host. She communicated with us well prior to our stay and during our stay so that check in and check out were so easy. We highly recommend this beautiful apartment!

Most amazing stay in St. Remy
Nothing could have been better during our stay at Karen’s. The apparent was just beautiful and very clean and comfortable. The location is wonderful for walking around St. Rémy. Perfection!
