Wonderful Stay
We had a group of 6 adults (friends and family) stay at the property, which was clean, well-maintained, comfortable and well located. Everyone in the group was pleased. The house is located in a beautiful area. On our first night, near sunset, we sat on the deck (off the dining room, in the back of the house) and saw elk just beyond the backyard. It was magnificent.

Great location to explore the south western part of the park. Rialto Beach 7 minutes away & Hoh Rain Forest is a little more than an hour. We squeezed in a lot in just 3 days. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others. Mark B July 2024

Olympic Moments
This is our second time stay and just as magical as the first. Location is one of the best on the peninsula; home is cozy, clean and quiet. Whether hanging out and watching the local wildlife or spending the day at the nearby beaches and park land, the moments we had are some of the best memories in the ONP.

Great National Park Visit
Our family of 4 came out to stay to explore the Olympic Coast. The access to the areas we wanted to go was excellent. We cook all our meals, and the kitchen was well stocked and easy to find things. It was a great place to spend a few days on the Olympic Peninsula.

Gem in the ONP
This house and property are fantastic. If we could rate it higher, we would. The quiet seclusion plus the daily visits from the local elk herd make this place magical. The house is spacious yet cozy and very clean. It has all you need to be at home on your vacation. The access to the park is phenomenal with short drives to multiple beaches and rain forest hikes. We can’t wait to book our next trip. Thank you to our host for making this property available!

Amazing week!
We absolutely loved this property and our visit to ONP! We were able to set up our base camp here and travel to all of the major park sights. The property was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We even got to see Elk in the pasture on our last morning. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Magical forest and river
The forest and river on the property are fantastic because you're essentially surrounded by the Olympic National Park. The location is also ideal for exploring the many nearby beaches and the Hoh rainforest. In particular, the Second Beach trail is a short hike to tidepools (near the north of the beach, but not all the way to the arch) that had exceptional marine life at low tide. With binoculars, we had good views of whales and seals offshore! The home and outdoor deck were comfortable, clean, and convenient. The host was helpful and responsive. The water level in the river on the property was lower than usual when we visited, but that enabled us to walk on the smooth rock beds along the river, enjoying the gorgeous views and the beautiful colors and shapes of the river pebbles. Of all the terrific places we stayed in the Pacific Northwest, this property is the one where my husband wants to return.

Rialto beach getaway
Wonderful home. This is a beautiful property located on 30 acres of preserved land directly adjacent to Olympic national park. We saw elk deer, rabbits, bald eagles and a bear in the expansive backyard. 2.3 mile drive to Rialto beach. Home is renovated with many updates and modern on the inside. Very nice kitchen and appliances. Easy check in process. The owner was responsive. The only thing that would make this home more perfect, would be a hot tub on the expansive back deck, and a king bed in the master bedroom. Otherwise perfect in every way. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return again.

Phenomenal stay
This property is the most majestic one our family has ever experienced. The pictures don’t do justice to the sounds, scope and textures of the landscape. Quite literally, the house borders ONP and the access to all that it offers. We’d highly recommend it to anyone of any age

Don’t hesitate, just book it!
The house and location are absolutely fantastic for visiting Olympic National Park. Ideally located to visit the coastline as well as Sol Duc, Hoh, and Quinalt. The River access was great for our down days at the house. The house feels brand new… impeccably clean. The property is incredibly private and sandwiched between national park lands so really it’s like you never leave the park. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was responsive and welcoming. My girls took their hammocks and hammocked in the trees. They caught tadpoles and juvenile cut throat trout by the river. We relaxed on the back porch and grilled out in the evenings. We saw deer, an owl, and countless bald eagles. We would not look elsewhere if returning to the area! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our stay at Closest to Olympic was great. We were in awe at the property being on 30+ acres and enjoyed sitting out on the deck looking over the vast forest towards the ocean. Really convenient to many places of interest. Clean and well stocked. If we travel as a group, we would stay here again.

Definitely stay here if you can!
This home had a wonderful kitchen, comfortable beds, an incredible back deck, is very close driving distance to Rialto Beach, and the host is very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. The only negative we had was that our a/c kept resetting to a temperature that was not comfortable and we could not override it. However, Jim was quick to fix it every time I texted him. We made some wonderful memories in this home and it was spacious enough that we could all be in the kitchen at the same time...I want the kitchen at my own house!

Special property with incredible access to Rialto Beach and La Push
Big open floor plan with 3 comfortable bedrooms and a nice pullout couch. The kitchen is well designed and updated with everything that you expect where you expect it to be, but… the things that make this house so special are 1) the property it’s on - steps away from beautiful forest and a short walk to a wide flowing river. Made me want to learn to fish… maybe next trip. The huge deck is perfect for admiring the unspoiled night sky And Milky Way. 2) The location!!! Unbelievable access to breathtaking Rialto Beach and easy access to the La Push beaches… we’re still fighting over which beach was the best. The location lends itself well as a base for convenient access to Lake Crescent, Hoh Rain Forest, and Lake Chenault activities. We had spent a couple nights close to Port Angeles for access to Hurricane Ridge and Port Flattery but could definitely be done from here if willing to have a couple hour drives at the beginning and end of your day. Jim was super nice and easy to communicate with. The house binder and guide books were really helpful and inspired some of our plans. Only drawback to call out is that nearby food options in Forks and La Push are very limited so be prepared to shop and cook for yourself or be ok with unexceptional meals out. I hope to visit again!

I love the outdoors and have always had a special attraction to rivers and fishing.

Why they chose this property

I am lucky to have found this jewel. It is gorgeous and unforgetable! Massive trees, beautiful view, riverfront, elk, deer, bald eagles, fishing, Olympic National Park is your neighbor, I couldn't resist. At the time I purchased it I didn't realize what I had.

What makes this property unique

Two frequent comments I hear from my guests: the home is beautiful, warm and comfortable with unforgetable views; it is a perfect home-base to explore Olympic National Park because so many points of interest are nearby. What do I think? The best fishing hole in the area is in front of my home.
