Cabin Get Away Overlooking Mount Mitchell

Sitting approximately at an elevation of 3,000 ft overlooking beautiful Mount Mitchell, is our warm and inviting 1,800 sq ft cabin home. The view from the front porch is spectacular! We invite you to sit on the rocking chairs, relax and enjoy your coffee in the morning. If you are an early riser, you may see our resident deer or even an occasional black bear. In the evenings, you can sit by the outdoor fire Chimenea on the porch or relax in the hot tub. Inside you will find a gas fireplace in the living room to keep you warm and cozy on cold nights.

With 3 private bedrooms and 3 full baths, this charming cabin getaway offers plenty of sleeping arrangements for up to 8 people. The second level contains the kitchen, dining area, living room, 1 bedroom with a king size bed and private bathroom and 1 bedroom with 1 full size bed and 1 queen size bed and a bathroom down the hall. The master bedroom with a full, private bathroom and king size bed is on the first level. There are 2 TV’s, cable and high-speed internet.

The cabin is located 3.5 miles from downtown Burnsville and just minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Mitchell State Park, Grandfather’s Mountain, Blowing Rock, Boone and several beautiful wineries. Also located within 30 minutes is downtown Asheville where you can enjoy some of the best first-rated restaurants, shopping, galleries and entertainment. For the adventurous type you will find Navitat Zip-lining, biking, hiking, white water rafting, tubing, snowboarding, skiing, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, Segway tours and many other adventures.

The cabin was just perfect for our needs. There were plenty of supplies on hand and the sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly. We enjoyed a couple of visits to the hot tub as well. Previous communication with the homeowner was quick and cordial. Would recommend. property to others

Quiet and Secluded
House location was very secluded, and quiet. House was a little dark, and could use some better lighting. Also could use a dishwasher, and some cobweb removal. Having to bring garbage down into town was kind of a pain. Maybe a bigger garbage receptacle could be placed in the garage. AC units were difficult to use. Had a little issue with check-in, as the keypad batteries died, and made entry a little difficult, but hopefully that is fixed now. Grill was broken, which would have been nice to know ahead of time. All small issues, but overall value was good.

Nice Place to Stay
You can tell by the photo there are steps to get into the house. This matters when folks are 65+ years old. The steps in the basement are narrow and steep and they need a handrail on the right hand side going down. Other than that, its a cute and comfortable cabin convenient to Burnsville and Asheville. We enjoyed our trip, and no one fell down the steps!

We had a long weekend on the property and every second was amazing. The porch was perfect with the most beautiful views. It’s tucked back and quiet yet close enough to stores and good restaurants. I enjoyed listening to nature while sitting in the fabulous hot tub. I want to come back again soon!

Amazing Bday weekend
The cabin was amazing. The pictures don't do justice to how nice it is. We had to make a quick reservation change and Debbie and Paul were very fast to respond and help get the changes made. We will definitley stay again, and highly encourage anyone looking for a super nice quiet cabin within a short drive to Asheville to book here.

First Trip in the Mountains
We stayed Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. If you enjoy hiking and waterfalls, I recommend the Crabtree Falls and Roaring Fork Falls. We also visited the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, which is about 45 minutes from the cabin. The cabin offered plenty of space for all of us! We had 4 adults and 2 children, so the 3 bedrooms and 3 baths worked out perfectly. The cabin is less than 10 minutes from restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores. I recommend Rio Mexican Cuisine and Hog Hollow Wood Fired Pizza. Yum! We definitely would stay here again.

We found the cabin nice and clean. The fireplace was fantastic in keeping us all warm. Loved that there were 3 bathrooms for our family. We’ll definitely rent again. Will be telling our friends and family about it!

It was perfect for us. We visited the Wolf Ridge Ski Resort.
The only issue I had was the fact we had to take our trash or pay a fee and we already paid a the cleaning fee. We checked out on a Sunday and the trash place is closed on Sunday . So not convenient at all! A big trash can outside your place would be much better for your visitors. Or in the garage. Thank you

Great location Beautiful Scenery
Loved everything about this stay. The house was beautiful and comfy. Enjoyed looking at the few from the second floor out into the mountains. Town isn't far from the house. I would for sure stay again when we go back to NC. House was very clean. I enjoyed walking up and down the mountain when it's nice and cold. I would say the fireplace is a bit challenging in the begining to get it to work but once we did it was great! Super quiet area also if anyone wants to read outside. I would suggest for anyone to stay there! Thank you,
