Situated in Rancho Santa Fe,The Garden House is a haven of peace & tranquility.

The Garden House is a beautiful two storey, two double bedroom guest house. Set in delightful gardens, the house has its own entrance across a little bridge and is set away from the main house, offering privacy and tranquility. Located 5 mins drive from 5* hotel, Rancho Valencia and The Farms golf club. The beaches of Del Mar and Solana Beach are a 15 min drive away and Torrey Pines beach 20 mins.
On the first floor, there is a spacious open plan lounge with two large sofas and coffee tables. Floor to ceiling windows offer beautiful views over the garden. There is a fully equipped galley kitchen,remodeled Jan 2020. It has a two ring stove top, large family fridge/freezer, large smart oven and microwave. There is also a dishwasher and sink. Doors lead out onto a private shaded roof terrace with outdoor furniture and dining, offering beautiful views of the gardens.
Downstairs are two large double bedrooms,. The main has a king sized bed. Remodeled (2022) ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, toilet and vanity area plus walk in closet. Patio doors lead out onto a private, covered patio. The guest room has a queen bed with remodeled ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, vanity and toilet. There is a large inset wardrobe with additional inset 4 drawers. There is a laundry room which houses the washing machine and dryer. Patio doors lead out onto the patio which has additional outdoor furniture and a sun lounger.

There is off street parking for two cars. There is a family dog on the property. We do not allow pets in The Garden House. The property has surveillance by two external cameras located on the main house (front and side). Charging for Tesla EVs is available for an additional charge. The property is not suitable for wheelchair access.

Amazing place
This place is great, the host is lovey warm and available without being intrusive. It was so quiet and peaceful which is just the retreat we needed. The kitchen was everything we need to make food. The bedrooms were very quiet for sleeping. This is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever stayed in.

Inga was a perfect host. We stayed for 3 nights for a family wedding in RSF. The Casita has everything needed for a stay, even for cooking meals. Homemade marmalade was so delicious. The garden is beautiful and peaceful which made sitting out on the verandah even more relaxing. Everything was well appointed and comfortable. We would highly recommend this property. Thank you

Serene retreat
Although close to Del Mar beach and racetrack; the amenities of San Diego - this beautiful abode is in an idyllic setting of mature trees and vistas. The house is well equipped for entertaining.The bathrooms are beautiful, the beds assure one of a great night’s rest. There is truly nothing lacking to guarantee an enjoyable, memorable stay. This is worthy of six stars!

Beautifully Serene with incredible location & hosts
10-day stay for soccer playoffs at nearby Surf Sports Park that was our fave VRBO ever! From the excellent communication to the comfort of the beds, the thoughtful kitchen and the spacious rooms! We had everything we could ever need and want for our family. Some days were so nice to just lounge on the porch with a good book selected from many options on the shelves. Arlo, the sweet dog, greeted us coming and going and warmed up to us after the first 2 days. Don’t judge by his handsome and intimidating looks - he is playful and loves his lower back rubbed. There were some awesome cookbooks, Trader Joe’s 5 min away, and everything you’d need to prep and cook a family meal. The location is unbeatable as many eats, sights, shops are all within an easy 5-15 minutes drive. We will be back! If looking for a home away from home - this has it all and some!

We enjoyed our stay in the Garden House, a spacious two bedroom guest house with a lovely terrace overlooking the manicured gardens of this Rancho Santa Fe property. Large bedrooms, both en suite, with very comfortable beds and high quality bedding. The hosts have thoughtfully provided all the necessities for your stay: a well-provisioned galley kitchen, bathroom necessities, and even beach towels. Overall, an excellent alternative to the more crowded areas of San Diego and north county.

Can we live here please?
Beautiful home, well maintained, clean, has everything you need, and feels like a friend is welcoming you to their place. We especially loved how the house smelled, fresh and calming. We stayed with our 18month old, who loved climbing up/down the stairs and running along the pathway to the front of the house. Inga was a beyond welcoming and thoughtful host (+ and amazing cook too)! We really wanted to live in the guest house for longer. Thank you Inga for letting us stay in your home. We hope to back again some day.

Friendly host; nice location
We stayed for 11 days waiting for our new house to be completed. The Garden House was very nice and worked well for our stay. We learned that although Arlo (the dog) seems ferocious, he is all bark and no bite and in fact is quite friendly. This is a nice place to stay.

Highly recommend this lovely cottage
This most charming of cottages was our home away from home for five days. We couldn’t have been happier with the space, location, and hosts. Inga was lovely and communication was excellent. The cottage was just darling and we all felt very comfortable there, from having breakfast on the upstairs terrace, to playing games in the living room area, and reading books to my 5 year old at bedtime. The cottage is well appointed with everything you need, including said games and books! The location is in a very nice area with a great shopping center 5 mins away. Highly recommended booking a stay!

Little paradise
Everything is top notch at this little RSF paradise. Linens and beds are comfy. Decor is restful and beautiful. Kitchen area is surprisingly well set up with a small countertop multipurpose oven. Bake, convection, air fry, toast, anything you need. There’s also a sink, microwave, fridge, and range. I mention this because photos don’t really tell it’s story adequately. A nice dining table and living area complete the upper floor alongside a lovely covered patio. Downstairs are two beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms with a laundry in secondary bedroom. It was ideal for my needs. Views, privacy and quiet with Inga’s kind hospitality make my stay perfect. Hope to be back!!

The Garden House
A little gem of a place tucked away in Rancho Santa Fe with a very private feeling, yet close to beautiful hiking paths and the beach as well as access to San Diego. We had a lovely two week stay and again thank Inga and Stuart for their many acts of generosity and kindness.

We have two sons and share our home with our rescued pup Arlo. As a marketing director in the hospitality sector, my goal is to make your time in our beautiful house as happy or as memorable as possible.

Why they chose this property

So spacious, so self contained and so private were all the reasons we fell in love with this property. We love our home and the Garden House was the added bonus for all our friends and family who travel from overseas. Now we are happy to open our home to others that want to discover the joy of this beautiful part of the world.

What makes this property unique

The Garden House is unique in its size and privacy spread out over two floors, it is flooded with light from floor to ceiling doors and windows through out and so tranquil with its stunning views over our beautiful landscaped gardens. It really is a pleasure to be in!

Location wise, we are situated in the exclusive North County neighborhood of Rancho Santa Fe. Our home is so easy for reach to the Racetrack if you are here for the Del Mar race season. The beaches of North County and all the great little coastal communities are less than 15 minutes drive away. A jump on the freeway and 20 minutes drive makes all of downtown San Diego easily accessible.
