The main home is 3,100 sqft, has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and has been designed to offer a place for friends & families to gather while make lasting memories. The Red Barn offers an additional 2,200 sq ft of additional entertainment space and is equipped with seating lounges, 7 arcade games, popcorn machine, mini refrigerator, side by side basketball, dome hockey, pool table, shuffleboard, giant connect 4 and more. The Barn is a fantastic space for larger groups to congregate and make memories.

**Red Barn Ranch is an organic and sustainable farm stay experience. All of our products are eco friendly and non animal tested. We have implemented sustainable practices around the farm (Yes, we do compost!) Our guests have the opportunity to see what sustainable living is all about! and of course, let us know if you'd like to learn more! We would be happy to show you. We are the farmers and we live on property in a separate unit which is within our own gated area. We are always available if something is needed but we like to give our guests their privacy to enjoy the property and all of the amenities privately. You may see us coming and going through our gate or perhaps working in the vineyard or feeding the chickens and ducks.

Envision your stay in the area:
Get ready to enjoy a lazy afternoon on the Farmhouse porch as you take in the sounds of nature. After a leisurely morning, spend the afternoon hiking on one of the many famous hiking trails nearby. Work up an appetite conquering Potato Chip rock and then settle into the afternoon with an invigorating swim in the pool or relax in the hot tub and gaze at the stars. If you enjoy golf, visit the captivating golf course at Mt. Woodson Golf Club or San Vicente Resort and Golf Club. Many unique and wonderful wineries dot the neighborhood and offer many local estate wines that are like no other. From the house it is possible to stroll to Principe di Triscase, Hacienda de las Rosas, Cactus Star Vineyard and Woof'n Rose. There are more than 30 wineries located within a 10 mile radius, making wine tours and tasting adventures easily accessible. While Ramona feels like you are a world away from civilization, you are within a 40 minute drive of any and all of the attractions within the greater San Diego area. This is a lovely jumping off point to visit the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Lego Land, The Safari Park, Balboa Park, Gaslamp, Del Mar and La Jolla Beaches, Coronado or apple picking in Julian.

Fun Times at The Farmhouse

Used the Farmhouse as base camp for a wedding nearby. We catered in the Rehearsal Dinner & Day After Brunch and between the picnic area and red barn entertained two events of 40-50 people with plenty of room to spare. Carissa, the owner, was always one text away when we needed anything and was very helpful over our five day stay.

Wedding weekend

Our family stayed at the Red Barn while we were in town for a wedding. The house was perfect for us! The kitchen was well stocked and the rooms were all comfortable. The game room was a big hit and everyone enjoyed the pool. Karissa was amazing and always responded within minutes. Cannot wait to come back!!!

Family gathering with adult children and spouses. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barn which was full of games, nice kitchen to cook in and space for all of us. Easy and quick communication with the property manager.

Beautiful home. We enjoyed our time away from the everyday norm with all the kids. Carissa and Corey were fabulous hosts. She has thought of everything! Would highly recommend this property to anyone needing a bigger space away from the busy San Diego life, but close enough to visit everything! Great place for weddings, family gatherings or just quiet time with your friends and family. If we decide to visit San Diego again, we will stay here. Thank you for your hospitality! More than expected !

The house, the location and the host far exceeded our expectations for our weekend getaway at the farm! Carissa went above and beyond with special touches to make my husband‘s 50th birthday celebration just perfect and relaxing. She was accommodating to us and our dogs and we thoroughly enjoyed the Fresh eggs in the morning from their adorable chicken coop! Fun for all ages -teenagers ,younger kids and adults ,love the Jacuzzi looking at the stars at night and fun exploring the neighborhood hikes. Can’t wait to return in warmer months to use the beautiful swimming pool!

Beautiful country retreat!

Carissa’s property is amazing – stunning mountain views, great outdoor areas for grilling and lounging...even better than the photos could capture! Even with our big family the beautiful house felt spacious and everyone was comfortable. Carissa herself is an amazing host, responded quickly to any questions and gave us great advice on hiking trails and nearby wineries. We spent the days hiking and exploring and then relaxed back at the house in the evenings...the whole place made us feel at ease. You can tell that Carissa put a lot of effort into creating an inviting, restful place. For the price, this beautiful home can't be beat. Next time my husband and I will come back with a few couples instead of the kids!

Clean country retreat for large family gatherings

Spent 3 nights during the summer for a family get together with 7 adults and 10 children. The home had many activities like pool, ping pong and tons of movies for enjoying. The owners are on property which was convenient and quick for when we needed them. They are very friendly and attentive. They even walked us down to a local winery where we enjoyed a private tasting. Plenty of pool and bath towels. Loved all of the eco-friendly bathroom products. Close proximity to Safari Park and about a 40 minute drive to La Jolla (we did a morning kayak trip). Looking forward to seeing their Ninja Warrior course in the future.

Beautiful quiet area

The house was great for our large family and the outdoor areas were wonderful! The kitchen was missing some basics like salt/pepper and many of the pantry products weren’t sealed. Some amenities in online listing weren’t accurate - two bedrooms didn’t have internet TV access, the disc golf course only had a couple of goals accessible, and the pool speakers had been temporarily removed. Overall it was a pleasant stay! The town of Ramona had everything we needed including great restaurants. Due to traffic it was a good hour drive to San Diego and it took us 3 hours to get to Los Angeles (one way).

Mostly wonderful

We rented this house for a family reunion. The property had many fun things to discover. The swimming pool was a huge hit with the kids. I was disappointed that the yard work was done while we were trying to enjoy the property, complete with riding mowers and electric trimmers. It wasn't very relaxing. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. There wasn't as much common space as I had expected from the photos. We really enjoyed eating dinner in the corral area. It was lovely with the fairy lights. Overall, I would recommend the property for 12 people.

Great family space

I can’t quite find the right words to describe how happy my family and I were with this property. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the property was amazing. My family always looks for unique properties while traveling and this one is at the top of our list! The animals are perfect entertainment for the kids. They stayed outside and watched them and fed them for hours. The game barn was EVERYTHING they needed to keep them entertained during our stay. It was filled with every game you could imagine. There was also a pretzel and popcorn machine, mini fridge sound system, microwave and piano amongst the games. The house itself was perfect for our large group of 13 traveling from across the country. After the 5 hour plane ride it was the perfect place to unwind. It was also equipped with everything we needed to make this the perfect home away from home. Carissa was also extremely attentive and responsive when we had questions and made sure to follow up to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Mommas Trip

There were 11 of us that traveled from all around the Country to get together. We have very rare and special kiddos and we needed to relax and support one another. Fantastic Getaway

We had a family gathering in this idyllic spot. The property is first rate, clean, comfortable and spacious. There is something for everyone - pool, hot tub, quiet space and an enormous renovated barn with video games, electronic darts, stereo system, pool table, shuffleboard table and a giant projection TV. The home is warm and conducive to family meals and time together with a lovely front porch, back patio and outdoor eating area with multiple sold wood picnic tables as well. Read, relax, cook and visit local vineyards and great hiking trails. Carissa is an amazing host who is responsive to any questions you have. Ramona is just a 5 minute drive away. We loved our stay here.

Amazing time at The Ranch

We stayed at the Ranch as a family (13 people with ages from 4 to 77). It was PERFECT for our group. Lots of room to roam. The pool was perfect for some cool fun during our summertime stay. The house was clean and more than enough room for us all to sleep, eat and just relax. Communication with host was quick, easy and very helpful. Five stars all around!!

Country relaxation

This large home in rural Ramona was terrific for our extended family vacation bringing travelers from the west coast and east coast together to visit Grandma and Grandpa in nearby Escondido. The family room, dining room and kitchen are green great gathering areas. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool area was perfect for relaxing and lots of time for talking.

Wonderful Family Weekend!

We all enjoyed the Red Barn Ranch very much! Carissa was very easy to communicate with and check-in was a breeze. Our family of 12 had plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peace and solitude of this beautiful home. The pool was a huge plus, which was enjoyed by all. Paradise on the farm

We had an absolutely wonderful time tucked away on the Red Barn Ranch. The space went above and beyond to accommodate everyone in our party — lots of space to explore for both the adults and the kids. Our hosts were extremely easy to communicate with, taking the time to offer up a tour of their chicken coop and help us book a private chef experience. There’s lots to check out nearby and a perfect oasis at your fingertips if you want to simply relax on the spacious property. Would highly recommend for any family looking to have a special getaway together!
