Could use some updates. The driveway was very steep, intimidating going down! We were disappointed that the fireplace was not working. The management company reached out but was unable to send someone out to check on the problem. Coffee maker was a let down as we brought keurig supplies and it was a standard coffee pot. A little inconvenient that there was a tv only in one bedroom.

Fantastic weekend.

A great Family weekend, touring APP State with my senior and then taking the siblings and friends tubing. A couple minor hiccups at the start but a quick call to the office and they were handled immediately. We will definitely be back, especially if we end up with a kid attending APP State.

Okay but overpriced

The cabin itself was lovely and structurally sound. There were some stairs that moved every time which was concerning when carrying small children. Considering the amount of money I paid towards a cleaning fee the cabin was not up to my standard. There were multiple dishes with leftover food on them or lipstick stains. There was an acrylic nail in a bedside table that was Christmas themed… so there’s that considering we stayed in late October. The heavy bedding seemed to have miscellaneous stains on them but the sheets seemed clean. The bathtub was clean, however the shower curtain liners were stained w mold and bacteria growth. They provide a minimal amount of towels which was not convenient considering we took 2 small children with us (which was mentioned upon booking) and had no access to additional towels. The property is not super conducive to pets as there really is no flat part for them to go “potty” and there is a pretty decent sized retaining wall around the property that dogs or kids could easily fall… but it is the mountains so I expected that. We had difficulty accessing the property as the key pad code did not work and when I called the number listed I had to call numerous times and was on hold for a while. We had a 5 hour drive with an infant so delaying entry further was very frustrating. Plus I tried to arrange for an earlier check in days prior to arrival but it was going to cost an additional $85 for just 1-2 hours earlier. Considering how much I already paid for this cabin I felt that was unprofessional and inconsiderate, coupled with the delay in entering the property I was quite upset. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and the cabin was overall a pleasant stay. There is no true mountain top view from the location. Overall I’d say the property was nice but considering what we paid (mostly for the cleaning fee and amenities) I was disappointed and would not stay again.

Adorable house

The house was a very cute cabin. The arcade was fun too. The water was a bit hard, but we did not have any issues with odors as some previous visitors did. We found the house to be clean and lovely. There were a few different styles of dishware- but honestly who cares? There was plenty for us to use. The master bed was very comfortable as well. Our only complaint was about the hot tub. The jets did not work- I messaged the property manager about it, who said there is a backorder on parts for the control panel. They gave me a refund for $100, but I was still upset, as we had selected this place based on having a hot tub. It was more of a warm outdoor bath. This was a known problem prior to arrival, but it was not communicated with us, which was disappointing. We did not have any of the cleanliness issues as other people have- it was perfectly clean. I would stay here again as long as the hot tub was working properly.

Twin Hollows December stay

The cabin size, layout, and feel are nice. Booking through Carolina Cabin Rentals was relatively seamless and easy. We had a two concerns with the cabin: 1. Cleanliness. The kitchen is filthy. We ran every single dish we planned on using through the dishwasher on the "sanitize" setting before we were comfortable using any of it. The rug on the kitchen floor is disgusting. We didn't take our shoes off in the kitchen. We were assured everything would be EXTRA clean with the current covid situation. The bathroom faucets looked like they had been barely wiped down. We were grateful we brought cleaning supplies. We spent an hour cleaning the place before we felt comfortable using most of it. 2. The advertised location. The location of the cabin needs to be more clearly explained in the listing. The cabin has no mountain views. It is tucked DOWN into a valley. The only way one will get a view of the mountains is if one walks to the top of the 100-foot driveway and stands there. The surroundings are very pretty - but "mountain view" they are not. For the price we paid for this stay, these two issues were very unfortunate. We had a nice stay (and got our kids' wishes of a white Christmas!), but we definitely were expecting a much cleaner setting with better views.

The house itself was totally acceptabe, however the kitchen needs a major ovethaul and added necessities. The dishes were mixed sets due to breakage, there were vety few glasses, all of which were very thick & heavy. No juice glasses, no wine glasses, no steak knives. Not one single pot or pan had a lid to prevent splatters, there was only one lid to fit a large not. We found one small paring knife and it was duller than dull I straightened the cups and tried to clean the glass cook top which desperately needs cleaning with cook top clear and a painters paint scraper which takes off the burned on grease. The teflon skillet was in bad shape & warped. I would never have cooked in it. It needs to be trashed. We have a rental house at the beach & we understand the upkeep, but just a little money could make this house so much better. The new leather sofas were lovely and the beds comfortable. And far as the view, it was at the top of the very steep driveway, not from the front windows. Also, we could not use the fireplace because the house filled with gas smells. It was overwhelming and we had to open doors & windows to get it out. Unfortunately for the price we would never book this house again nor recommend it to others. We were very disappointed.also, soap dishes in the bathrooms would be nice to keep from laying to soap on the counter.

We loved the cabin and the service we received. I am giving a 3 star because of the water issue. It smelled so bad and when you showered you were left with a slimy feeling. We called about it and was told a filter was added but it did not help. It would have been nice not to have that issue and been warned about it upfront.

My family loved this cabin we have stayed in many cabins In many different states over the last few years and must say This was one of our favorites! It was clean and updated with comfortable beds and loved the bunk beds for our boys.I was nervous about making it up the road and the driveway in our minivan bu it was fine as long as you kept a steady speed on the way up!! Would definitely stay here again

Twin hollows

Loved our stay, the location, the privacy, the home, the amenities and the PAC-Man machine was a hit. We would recommend staying here but we would want friends about the water though. It smelled a bit foul, probably due to hydrogen sulfide in the hot water tank. Also the downstairs bedroom door never locked properly nor the upstairs balcony door, although we felt very safe regardless.

Good stay

Great cabin, very clean and beautiful location. The water does a have a smell. Not terrible, but didn’t really want to shower, brush your teeth, or wash your face. I think it should be talked about in the listing. Besides that- 5/5 stay. Communication was great, hot tub was wonderful, pac man game was cool!

Twin hollows cabin

The cabin was beautiful, the scenery was lovely, the inside was everything I had hoped until you go to cook, brush your teeth, and shower. The water smelled like sewer and we had to make multipe trips into town for for usuable/drinkable water.

Twin hollows

The upstairs shower backs up and is very slow to drain. The owners should really install a sulfur filtration system as the water is so strong you can hardly stand to brush your teeth. The cabin is nice but could use some repair. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Split decision

A roomy and comfortable cabin. Hot tub is great. However, the water from faucets/toilets/showers smells strong of sulfur. Says pet free, but dog hair throughout. Not super clean, but not bad. For the cost we expected more, but still had a relaxing time.
