I absolutely loved the cabin

The cabin was very clean and sanitized, we enjoyed the hot tub and pool table and the big jacuzzi tub! The cabin was right off the parkway and was minutes away from the strip! Cell phones worked which was a big plus!

Some issues but a beautiful cabin

Our cabin was beautiful, but there was a dirty pillow on the bed with stains on it in the front room as well as the tv not working, bc it wasn't set up before we arrived apparently... Some of the lights would work and then would flicker like they was going to go out. So we would have to unplug them then plug them back up after a period of time. We called the person who was over the cabin and they said they forgot to do those things that they was sorry. But when someone pays for a cabin, hotel, chalet of whatever it is. It should be clean and ready for them and not have stained pillows, lights not working and TV's not working.

It was ok

The cabin itself was kept up nicely but the neighborhood wasn’t. It’s also not located on any steep land and there is no good views other than the unkept neighboring homes. The fireplace did not work properly and as a result we had one night with lots of smoke in the home. We ended up relocating to the bedroom that had an electric/gas fireplace. The running hot water for showers did not last long enough for the 4 people in the cabin...lasted for a one person quick shower. The location is conveniently close to the parkway but again not a scenic location. The rooms and cabin as mentioned earlier were neat and clean and maintained very well with the exception of the fireplace. We had a great time in Pigeon Forge and the overall experience wasn’t bad. If we would choose again, we would choose a different location that’s all.

Property Great, Bear Camp Terrible

As in the title, we enjoyed the cabin, mostly. But the checkin/checkout was terrible. The only good thing about the checkin, was the hostess. Polite and knowledgeable, she was a pleasure to work with. We did however, get a map to the cabin that sent us to the wront place. Two others were built beside ours and the map was not updated. Checkout was a train wreck. The downloaded instructions, printed instructions from the office, and online instructions all said to check out before 10AM or be charged for overstay. We planned to leave at 6AM, but office didn't open until 9 according to website. So we arrived to check out at 9AM and found the door locked and lettering printed on the door that they open at 10! We thought we would have to sit in the hot car for an hour, when someone showed up and unlocked the door. After expressing my displeasure with the conflicting hours, I said I was there to check out, per instructions. She said, "OH, there is no "check out procedure, you just leave"! WHAT!!!??? So by now we have wasted three hours and could have been on the way home. No more Bear Camp Cabins for us, or anyone we talk with.

Lumpy beds, crusty linens and last centuries internet

The bedding and towels were so old and crusty I had to go buy new sheets and towels, wash them and remake the bed before we could begin our vacation. Both mattresses need replaced. The one we started with was just horrible with huge ruts in the middle. Second room some better but very worn. When you pay your hard earned money for a week stay you expect the beds to be comfortable. They are not! The house is beautiful and nicely decorated. We liked both the pool table and hot tub. Appliances are standard, no I’ve maker or filtered water. I would not stay here again until they mattress were replaced and new linens and towels were provided. I have better looking cleaning rags than the towels and wash clothes we were given to use. I used them as bath matts. The internet is DSL and was useless. We had service but it was so slow we couldn’t even check our email. The downloading just kept spinning and we gave up. Cell service in the area in general is terrible. Don’t plan on watching tv. The cable is standard with no good channels at all. People on vacation expect more than the bare amenities. I do not recommend this cabin until it gets much needed updated amenities.

Cozy cabin

Great location. The cabin was cozy and had a great family feeling. It was nice and clean. We really enjoyed the simple cabin beauty. The only thing is that there is a crazy requirement to take the trash out to the trash can when you check out, but the trash can wasn’t available. We couldn’t find it and of course I’m sure we will be penalized for not taking out the trash. Just doesn’t make sense. Also, the pool table needs to be cleaned. Other than that we had a great time.

Very Lumpy Mattress

The mattress in the mater bedroom is too lumpy to fall asleep. There was a previous review addressing this same issue so I emailed the owner who led me to believe they had recently replaced the mattress. Not True. This mattress is not new. Also the property across the street is a trashy unpleasant site.

location

While the location was basically in town. There are no views of anything. Both king mattress are past their life big indentions and very comfortable no Espn on tv. A big wash me sign on the windows above the sink. You can only read it when there is dew on the windows. Bring your own trash bags because the ones that are furnished will tear in a slight breeze.

Nice family getaway

We had a a slight rough start to our trip. When checking in, the receptionist told us our cabin was not ready which, was completely fine for us. However, hours passed and we never received a call so we ended up driving back to the office after dinner and asking how long it would be. We were greeted by a different receptionist who told us she was not sure why we were not called but that our cabin had been ready for us. Once we got to our cabin, it was very easy to access from the instructions given at the office. We did our walk through as recommended by the receptionist and found just a few minor things that needed to be fixed (broken blind, pool stick, etc). Otherwise, our stay was very pleasant and had everything we needed to feel like we were at home. Kitchen came fully equipped with dishes, cookware, etc. Bathroom was decent. Bedrooms were absolutely amazing and the beds were very comfortable for us. I was even surprised they called during our stay to ask how everything was in our cabin and if we needed anything. The only thing we really didn't care for was the size of the driveway. We have a larger dodge ram and it was a tight fit.

Will be back!

So overall we loved the cabin. It is super roomy, and it was one of the cleanest cabins we have stayed in either in pigeon forge or Gatlinburg. This was definitely our favorite. The hot tub was super clean and comfortable, the bath tub and shower were very clean as well. The beds left a little to be desired, as they were extremely uncomfortable and definitely had springs broken in them, but it was certainly worth dealing with. We still didn’t lose any sleep. I will say that this is very close to the cabin to the left of it, as I didn’t see that originally from the pictures. This didn’t take away from the trip as we were the only ones staying on the road for the majority of our stay, and our neighbors were quiet the last day we were there. It is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from the parkway. With all of that being said, we will definitely be back to this cabin and we were more than pleased with the hospitality of the staff and the cleanliness of the cabin. Thank you for an amazing vacation!
