Perfect Tranquility

This property with its three master suites was perfect for our family! A short trip into town and tucked into a neighborhood to enjoy the views. The property owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Look forward to when we can visit again!

Bait and Switch

We have stayed in multiple VRBO and have never been more disappointed. We booked 4 nights and left after two. I brought my wife and three kids to the place. The listing stated no children, so I reached out to owner. Many times this is b/c they don't want children in nice place. This was not that case. She should have never rented us the place as this was a very dangerous situation. The place is not fit for children nor adults. Major issues: 1) It was not disclosed this was a five story place. It is like a tree house with a bedrooms on each individual level, kitchen, and living area. Each its own level. horrible layout no elevator. My wife has a bad knee and if disclosed we would have never rented this place. 2) Stairs are a serious hazard to both adult and kids. they have a 6 3/4 in gap between them. They are floating stars and given the place is a five story house it is a major issue. No idea how this is up to code 3) Master Bedroom is unusable (on the fifth floor). The bed is totally shot and no able to sleep on. I reached out to the owner and was told the beds are a year old. No idea the accuracy of this, but you have visually see the concave. Unusable. Minor issues: 1) Dryer door would not shut, thus you could do laundry 2) Stove was impossible to figure out. Thus we had no stove 3) No TV! she provides apple TV. totally unacceptable. 4) location is not very good. the map implies it is right there. it isn't. Given we check out two days early we asked for a refund for those two nights. The owner refused. This is the worst experience we have every had. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Excellent place to stay in Aspen! 10/10 would recommend

We stayed here at the end of February and had an absolute blast! The house is really nice and comfortable for everyone staying. It is also a short ride into Aspen village and about a 20 minute drive to Snowmass. We loved everything about the home and will definitely try to stay again if we ever come back.

Wonderful, relaxing stay in Aspen, CO

Treat yourself and rent this place - you won't be disappointed! We (4 people) had a great stay at the property over Memorial Day weekend. We were attracted to the style as we prefer the modern look over the more rugged cabin style. House looks just like the pictures! We all relaxed as soon as we walked in. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, nice outdoor spaces, well-stocked kitchen, nice hotel-type touches like a steam shower. Very quiet property, we woke up to birds chirping every day and can't beat that. Plenty of wildlife around, including at wild turkey, lots of birds, foxes, and brown bears. Great location (5-min drive) outside downtown Aspen with easy access to local trails and natural highlights (Maroon Bells, etc.). Had a few quick questions at the beginning of the stay and owner Autumn was very prompt and helpful. We had fun - will recommend to others and will stay again if ever back in Aspen.

About the host

Hosted by Autumn Kent De Simone

The Aspen lifestyle is a perfect mix of being a globally recognized city and still offering small town hospitality. The skiing is world class as are the restaurants. And it is beautiful.

Why they chose this property

Family Home in Aspen
We love Mountain Valley because it is only 1 mile from town conveniences but it is very quiet and peaceful. We have very nice neighbors. During the Winter Independence Pass is closed so the only traffic is purely residential. Close to town, restaurants, skiing, biking, hiking, and whatever other mountain activities you enjoy.

What makes this property unique

This is a single family home with a front yard and decks on a quiet cul-de-sac.
Dial-a-ride picks up at the front door and drops you in town for $1, best deal in town! Runs on the half hour. Call for pick up at the house. The shuttle route begins at Rubey Park Bus Depot in town, near the gondola. City of Aspen offers a free RFTA bus system to go anywhere you would want to. Local taxis and Uber are also available. There are also several Bike rental shops in town.
