Bay House at Prinyers - Prince Edward County Private Waterfront

Welcome to Cove House, a sheltered deep waterfront property on historic Prinyers Cove and situated at the eastern tip of Prince Edward County. Settled amongst cedars, towering oak and locust trees, this quiet rural setting is convenient to all PEC attractions and amenities, wineries and craft breweries. Just 10 minutes to Waupoos, 15 minutes to Lake on the Mountain/Glenora, 25 minutes to Picton, and 45 minutes to Sandbanks.
The house is a 9-year old raised bungalow and features 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, whirlpool tub, laundry room, an open-concept gourmet kitchen, dining area, and living room all under vaulted ceilings. Enjoy the outdoors sitting on the water-viewing deck which runs the length of the house, watch the beautiful sailboats entering the cove, enjoy a grilled meal prepared on the propane BBQ. Down the stairs, gather around the fire pit and tell tall tales about the fish that got away or play a game of croquet or bocce ball on the lawn area.
Prinyers Cove is a coveted destination for recreational boaters, so be sure to bring your boat and take advantage of the idyllic waters (a launch area is located just around the corner). A gently sloping path from the rear of the house leads to the large dock which can accommodate almost any type of boat up to 40 feet with plenty of water under the keel. For fish enthusiasts, the Bay of Quinte is a legendary destination with plenty of nooks and crannies to reel in the big one, or try your luck and just cast a line off the dock.
Off the water, enjoy long walks or cycling along quiet, scenic routes within the unspoiled rural setting. The area is ideal for birdwatching and is renowned for countless species of birds, both migratory native.
Included is an unlimited-use day pass to Sandbanks Provincial Park for one vehicle.

What an amazing stay!!!!

Thank you so much Kai and Jennifer. Our stay was awesome. The house is beautiful and has every comfort of home. The beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked. The water is perfect for swimming. Nice and deep and clear. We swam, had a bon fire, watched a movie every night. We will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic hidden gem!

We were a family of six looking to book a cottage on the waterfront and WOW this location did not disappoint! My father and mother in law are pretty picky when it comes to accommodations and they really loved the property and are this is in. The property itself has all the amenities you would need in a house (washer/dryer, very spacious kitchen, etc.) contained in a beautiful cottage. There is even a king sized bed in the main bedroom which was much appreciated by my two kids with extended snuggle times in the evenings. The outdoor backyard 2nd floor deck with its lounging areas are amazing to relax in as the sun goes down. The backyard has a firepit and outdoor eating area while being large enough for two energetic kids to run around. The dock was amazing for fishing; my father-in law was able to catch a 20 pound carp right off the dock on our last day. We were also able to swim and jump in right off the dock, the water being more than deep enough to swim in which was just amazing for the kids. The area itself is on a secluded peninsula which were great for walks in the evening; the views in the area are absolutely gorgeous. Picton itself was only 20 mins away on a very scenic drive while taking the back roads there were also several amazing wineries towards Waupoos. Furthermore, Sandbanks is only 40 mins away; we were really grateful for the Sandbanks pass that was included for us to use. Basically a pleasure to drive and explore the local community! Our hosts Kai and Jennifer were very easy to get a hold of before, during and after our stay. They made our check in and check out very easy and pleasant! We would love to stay at this property again. Basically if you have the opportunity to stay in this gem, it surely is not to be missed!

The description of the ad is precise, there's a lot of space, a great kitchen, it's absolutely clean, there are fly screens against evening mosquitoes, and the surroundings are surprisingly idyllic. A kayac as a nice plus. Thank you!

Amazing stay with kids!

Excellent stay! We were a family of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) and we had a really wonderful week! The place is even more spectacular than in the pictures. The Cove is amazing for swimming and kayaking. The property has lots of space, it is very clean and well maintained, and the beds are very comfortable. There is lots of storage space if you want to keep your things tidy. And the sunset is a beautiful sight through the kitchen window. The place is calm, you can only hear the birds, and yet it is close enough to amazing places like the Waupoos winery, Picton, or the Bluff conservation area. If you're anything like me, the only thing I could suggest is that you bring an eye mask if you need darkness to sleep (the master bedroom has dark curtains but the other two bedrooms don't). We easily fixed this by hanging a blanket over the kids' bedroom window. Kai and Jennifer were always prompt to respond to any questions or concerns, with detail and generosity. All in all, amazing stay and we would love to return!

Charming beautiful quiet cottage!

This place exceeded our groups expectations by far. House amenities galore! No need to bring a thing except your food, drink and great company! The rest is about making wonderful memories. Will definitely be back here again! Thanks to owners for putting such a wonderful venue on the market!!!

A wonderful time at a wonderful place!

We had a really wonderful time here. The location is shockingly convenient considering how peacefully remote it is, and it has everything you could want in a cottage retreat. The cove is so close and the water is great, everything we needed was provided! The amenities were great, everyone loved all I really can't say enough about how great a time we had here. If given the opportunity, I'd definitely be back! The owners are great at communication and everything was well-provided!

Excellent, emaculatley clean and ready

Our family of four stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful, would highly recommend it. Excellent dock for larger boats which is a hard find in this area. Also a very sheltered bay. Owners met us to let us in and made sure we had everything we needed. Kitchen was extremely well equipped.
