This scenic and unique big house is 2 separate rentals in one rental with 3 floors that can sleep 30 people.Good for large groups regular rentals . Centrally located across the street from Natural Bridge State Park and 1.8 miles to the Red River Gorge.
With 9 bedrooms, 2 kitchens,2 living rooms and 15 beds makes for a good large group rental as well plenty of comfortable living space inside and out.
Dsl internet service and 2 dish satelite TV's in 2 seperate living rooms.
One 8 person hot tub on lower deck that also has a large propane grill and a 10 person outdoor dining set on a wooden deck.
Outdoor firepit area.

Perfect location and very spacious

The Big House had enough sleeping and gathering space for our group of 24 adults. Had everything we needed to cook our meals. Susan was very responsive when we were having gateway/internet/ tv issues. Great location. Towels, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper all provided. Brought our own paper towels, napkins, dishwasher detergent etc. Some seasonings are there. Close to Natural Bridge, kayaking and climbing. Please be aware the directions to get to house are a little out of date. The entrance to road going back to house is through Miguel's climbing store parking lot. Next door to Miguel's pizza. Once in parking lot go to far end and turn left on road. From there follow signs and directions. Cannot turn in on drive with the tree in the island it is blocked off with chain. Was a great rental experience and would recommend.

Nos gusto mucho, esta muy grande, solo que fuimos en tiempo de frio y el calenton no estaba funcionando en la parte de abajo y nos proporcionaron unos pequeños solo que no calentaba mucho, y el agua estaba fria nose si seria porque eramos una familia grande y se terminaba la caliente. Pero de ahi en mas todo estuvo excelente, la verdad que si nos gusto mucho y claro que volveremos a rentar de nuevo

Beautiful and spacious

Great location with lots of fun opportunities nearby. Beautiful scenery to explore. We were able to accommodate our whole family, kids and grandkids easily and spent many hours outdoors on the decks. The owners were quick to respond with any of the issues we had. Overall, a great place to stay - and we enjoyed the unusual rooms, spectacular views, and tower of bathrooms!

Very unique house

The house was a very unusual construction, fun, quiet and comfortable. We had 14 adults and 4 children occupying the house. Most of the family rode the sky lift to the natural bridge and some went twice. Thanks for sharing your home with my family.

Big Crowd, Big Fun

The house was great for a multi generational group (as long as stairs are not an issue). Close by there were hikes that all ages, and parents with infants in backpacks, could enjoy. The house was welcoming and beautifully lit at night. Beds were comfortable and plenty of gathering space.

Big Ol' Place

About a dozen friends of mine get together every year to catch up. This year we landed at this house. Everyone was able to get their own bedroom, there were rooms broad enough to have everyone in them but also some spaces that allowed for some privacy. Cannot recommend enough.

Beautiful, great location large group stay

My group was family and friends combined. We had an infant, and kids ranging from 2-9 and a couple teenagers, parents, aunts, and grandmas. It is a lot of stairs, but the grandmas made it! Great location close to so many activities. The driving and parking situation were a little sketch, but it was fine. The only complaints would be no outlet in some rooms that needed sleep ap machine making some of the rooming situation more difficult to figure out. Also the extra room downstairs perfect for the snoring family member was wayyy too hot in the day and freezing at night its more of a sunroom green house. Plan on staying again in the future!

Perfect for a Family Reunion

We stayed here with 29 family members (19 kids under the age of 12) for a rustic family reunion. It accommodated our large group very well. It was nice having some separation of space between the first and second levels. Our kids absolutely loved swimming in the hottub and scavenging for nature treasures on the property. The large deck with beautiful lighting created such a pleasant atmosphere for our meals. The large living room spaces had ample seating for our gathering times. The home design itself is a bit eclectic, but it had all that we needed and we were thankful for the opportunity to stay there. Would recommend to other large groups!

Better than I expected

I thought the property was quirky in the best way. Weird, but cool. We had everything we needed, except wine glasses. If you're drinking wine, might wanna bring glasses. I would rent here again. The house had so much character.

Beautiful house for a large group

The house was quirky and gorgeous. Our family really enjoyed our time here and there was plenty of space for us all, which never happens! The driveway is steep but manageable, especially when people used the lower lot.

50th Anniversary Weekend

Plenty of room for all. The deck was used extensively for evening dinner party and enjoying family. We had 21 guests which included 2 infants. Good point to explore the whole area.

Fascinating Home

Our group of twenty ranged in age from 3 weeks to 76 years old. There was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed our stay in this fascinating home. We had everything we needed to make our stay great. The wifi was not consistent. I'm not sure if that can be fixed, because of the remote location. There are A LOT of stairs, so just be aware of that if it's going to be a problem for anyone in your group. If you like pizza, make sure you eat at Miguel's just at the bottom of the hill!

The house was perfect for our large group. Everyone slept comfortably and there was plenty of open space for us to enjoy meals together and have alone time. The location is perfect for all the hiking the Gorge has to offer.

Great location but needs some attention to details.

Overall, we enjoyed the Big House. There are beds to sleep 24 people (2 to a bed) and then 3 sofa beds on the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor is nicer than the rest of the house with plenty of space for all of us to gather, cook and hang out. We would stay here again. This house is not handicap accessible, having many many stairs. The 3rd floor is separate from the rest of the house, accessible only by outside stairs. Driving up to the 3rd floor is steep and hilly. Those driving cars (not SUV or trucks) opted to park at the bottom. A few notes for the next visitors and owners: The 3rd floor Kitchen: No pitcher, no blender, no Scissors, teflon pans really scratched, no potholders, dish towels were small washcloths. WiFi didn’t work. Router inoperable. No cell service. 2nd floor topmost shower knob broken. Other shower really hard to use. Sheets on 3rd floor sofa bed were dirty. Dead batteries in thermostat controller in back 3rd floor bedroom. No heat in front 3rd floor front bedroom. Smoke detector missing from 3rd floor. No handrails on 3rd floor restroom landing/steps. (This is dangerous. We moved a chair to the front of the steps to provide a visual barrier.) Hottub didn’t work. “Spa lock” prevented it from running.

Fantastic weekend!

We had a wonderful experience at the big house. It was clean, well stocked with neccessary items and there was plenty of space for our big group. Susan was very responsive with any questions I had. Hanging out in the hot tub on a chilly night was an added bonus. We're already planning our trip for next year!

Large space with lots of beds but not maintained

On the positive side, there were lots of beds/bedrooms and large open space especially top floor which is where our family spent most of our time (weather wasn't very good- rained). The top floor was nicer in general than the rest of the property with nice wood floors, plenty of open space and nicer newer furniture. We enjoyed preparing all of our food on this floor with good appliances and decent amount of countertop area. The large windows and balcony provided some nice views. The TV's were decent size and worked. On negative side, basic maintenance was lacking in several areas. Examples on the top floor are simple things like a nasty sink drain clogged up in the bathroom, dead batteries in TV remote and heating unit remote. It would be nice to have instructions on how to set the heating remotes. I had to google search to figure out the symbols on these 4 wall unit remotes. Hassle. Also, it wasn't pleasant driving up to this level with a junky looking shed visible from the drive and out the windows and then a front porch being used as storage for tables and chairs. The bottom 2 floors were in need of updates. The furniture and carpet are worn out. Bedroom closet doors were not attached and actually in the way. There was no microwave on this level. No icemakers in either refrigerator which was disappointing. The exterior of the house was disappointing with little to no landscaping and what looked like a partially completed project retention wall and dead grass next to lower parking area. The fire pit at top level was basically a level spot with no benches/seats or anything other than what seemed to be pcs of blue pallets for firewood with a tarp thrown over them. Not exactly picturesque... There was an overhang on top floor seen from balcony that had loose boards and ladders. Not sure why. The 2 propane outdoor grills were old and needed some repair. We weren't expecting these issues especially for the price/night. At this price it seems that the owners could afford to keep it maintained. If these issues and just needed basic maintenance/updates were addressed, we would consider returning because of the location and size of the house.

Perfect for a family reunion.

What an awesome property. Perfect for our family reunion. The bedroom options were versatile and comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. The huge deck had plenty of seating and the hot tub was a bonus. Highly recommend!
