Luxury furniture and beachy hues welcome you as you enter this condo and bring you inside to its comfortable living room. The living room has been updated with new furniture and a flat screen television for entertainment purposes. The kitchen is fully stocked and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances suited for you to cook up a meal whenever necessary. The open flowing living room and kitchen concept also features a dining table with four chairs for comfortable meals. There is a second table with chairs out on the porch, so you don’t have to go to a restaurant to enjoy a dinner with a beach sunset. Once in the bedroom, the same style of beachy hues and furniture welcome you in as well, and the room also contains a flat screen television for your viewing entertainment. The large comfortable king bed where you can view the beautiful Gulf view through the sliding doors leading out to the balcony. Weekend getaway

Beautiful Views-Great Condo

Beach was absolutely beautiful and water was clear! Loved having the golf cart and used it every need to ever use our car. Great location and close to everything. Please add some blankets in here for lounging and side tables on both sides of the bed. Otherwise loved it and already booked another trip back in August!

It was fine.

The place is fine. Certainly not terrible. But certainly not a dream come true. The unit is very small. There are mirrors on walls to make it look bigger than it is. The bathroom is very large, unnecessarily large for such a small unit overall. The kitchen supplies are about as bare bones as you can imagine. Not easy to cook stuff without proper pots pans utensils. The golf cart was the highlight. It was awesome. Kids loved it. Saved the vacation. All in all, the place was fine, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Perfect & Easy!

I have personally only stayed at one other "Airbnb" style place in the past, but I have definitely heard horror stories. I am always hesitant because of this, and end up settling for a less spacious and usually more expensive hotel with no amenities to use on a long trip. With that being said, staying here was absolutely perfect. It kicked the idea of ever staying at a hotel in the future to the curb! This place was clean, had additional towels/blankets, W/D, easy to use golf cart to get around, and newer kitchen appliances. You could easily walk right to the beach or simply open the balcony door and enjoy the ocean view. The ONLY negatives would be that it is a long elevator ride up to the room from the ground floor; but on the other hand thats what gives it that beautiful balcony view! My favorite part of all, the process of checking in and checking out was very smooth and clear. I would 100% recommend and stay here again!

We really liked the property and its location to restaurants and grocery stores made things very convenient. Need greater communications on using the TV sets. Would prefer a standard cable-streaming service such as You Tube. We stayed during football season.

Just what we needed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was just what we needed for 2 people. Could definitely use night stands on both sides of the bed but we just moved a kitchen chair into the bedroom to fix that minor issue. The condo was clean. The kitchen was just fine as we ate out every meal. I did organize the kitchen bc the cleaning staff had just put stuff randomly in places but just took a minute and it had everything you would need to prepare a meal if you wanted. Left bathroom cabinet door needed screws put in properly but we did not need that space so we just called and notified the rental company and they offered to send someone out immediately but we told them it was fine for us and just to fix it after we left. The golf cart was so nice! We really enjoyed it. Overall we enjoyed the condo and the gorgeous view and we couldn’t ask for more. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Condo was very clean. Bed and couch were comfortable. Decor was cute but so many lamps?? There is also no bedside tables. We had to put the kitchen chairs next to the bed. Tons of closet space. Very well maintained unit for the most part. Fridge and ice maker worked well. The kitchen could use a few more items. There aren't many pots/pans. Only one towel. No large bowls. No plastic bowls w/ lids. We don't cook anything besides breakfast on vacation so this wasn't a big deal for us. The beach chairs are in pretty bad shape. They were all rusted and the arms of the 2 chairs I checked were coming off. They were all covered in sand from the last guests. Rusty water also poured out of them. The view was amazing. We never had any issues with the elevator or a long wait. Having the golfcart included with the rental was so convenient. To go over the the baytowne wharf for the nightly activity or dinner. We grabbed dinner down by the Hilton on night also. Not having to get back in the car and deal with the traffic was great! The golfcart horn doesn't work. Everyone beeps the horn in the tunnel. :) The pool is very clean and well kept. Like any resort.. If you want a spot with a shade or an umbrella get down there early. Towels are on chairs about 7am! Private beach is my favorite part! I wasn't aware when we booked that you can bring your own tents /umbrellas and set them up. You just have to set up behind the people who paid. We paid for 2 chairs and umbrella for the week it $260 w/tip. After talking with several other families at the pool/beach. Some didn't even know what the baytowne wharf was. I would recommend leaving a list of restaurants or what there to do in the area in each condo. People who aren't as familiar with that area would really benefit from that. I have already recommended MVH and this condo to a coworker. We can't wait to book our next trip!

Just what we needed

The view and close access to the beach was great! We had trouble with the water shutting off but management was very responsive and it was resolved quickly. The kitchen was very Bare Bones: no filters for the coffee pot, no chopping board or descent basic chef knife but there were 2 toasters, weird. There is no shower curtain or shower door; so the bathroom floor gets soaked every time you shower. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked great which was really important since it was in the upper 90’s. The golf cart worked great and allowed us to not get in our car the entire stay.

Condo review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was impressed with the codes given and the location of the golf cart and all. There wasn’t enough towels for more than one shower, only one dish towel and not any potholders to get things out of the oven. Didn’t even have a dust pan to get pick up what we would sweep. There wasn’t many pans or cookware but we got by. Had to go and buy a few things to make it through the week. The Westwinds was nice. So convenient to walk to the beach and pool easily. There was at least one elevator everyday that wouldn’t work but it was fine as there was a total of four. The people cleaning the rooms weren’t the friendliest and didn’t want to give any paper goods so again we bought more toilet paper and paper towels ourselves.

This place needs a serious scrubbing

This could be the perfect place but it was pretty gross. There was food on the floor (old grapes, chips, etc) There was rolled up dirty sheets in the closet, you can’t walk across the rug in the living room without sand and your feet getting sticky (when we moved the coffee table to use the sofa bed, there is a literal brown color around where the coffee table sits - I couldn’t walk across it without getting grossed out). They say you might not be able to check in at the check in time due to the rigorous cleaning that is done, but this far from our experience. This little vacation home could be top notch because the location and layout is amazing but it definitely needs more care and maintenance. It’s in dire need of new paint or a magic eraser because everywhere is scuffed up and looks like there are dirty hand prints on all the doors and cabinetry. Overall, I didn’t want to spend any more time than we absolutely had to inside this room.

Westwinds in SanDestin

We have been visiting SanDestin annually for 15+ years. In past we’ve always stayed at Beachside I or Beachside II. We were very pleased with with our first visit to Westwinds. This unit had been freshly painted and decorated nicely. Shout out to property manager - TV in living for room had no signal upon arrival. Contacted property manager who immediately addressed/corrected the issue on a Sunday! Only suggestion is to add a nightstand next to bed. Need a place to place clock/phone during the night. Loved the pool and hot tub areas. Snack bar at pool very convenient. In future we will always look to Westwinds first!

Not worth the $

Wash comforter on bed it was flipping brown around edges....disgusting ... screen broken when arrived on bedroom door ...maintenance was a joke the golf cart's reverse kept messing up called maintenance said they would help the next day -no show.... so we just kept pushing it ....gave up on that... no extra blankets only 3 pillows beware nice but damn for as much as we spent expected just a tad more ....weird layout to go to bathroom you had to go through bedroom.
