The cabin itself was adorable. But the warning about the water is no joke. I know it is “normal” in that area for the water to smell of rotten eggs but you cant shower in it. I had to buy jugs to wash my face and brush my teeth, etc. There is NO way you will want to shower in it. I was greatful for the honest reviews were people warned us about it.
First time staying at this adorable cottage and we loved it. From the cute accommodations, to the nightly deer sightings in the front yard while we sitting by the fire. We had a wonderful time and we will most certainly return.
Great getaway place for a couple. It's small, compact, but that makes it cozy. It has everything you really need. Only thing is it doesn't have wi-fi access which would be nice, but cell reception is good in the area. We've stayed there twice and enjoyed it both times. We are a retired couple.
Very quaint cottage and well supplied. It definitely was a plus that it was dog friendly. We enjoyed exploring the town and trails with other family and our dogs and sitting around a fire in the evening. Would definitely recommend . Just a note would definitely help if there was some lighting on the porch and explain to bring your own wood ( which we did due to past stays elsewhere. Thank you to the host we definitely enjoyed our short stay !
Very quaint, cozy and quiet! The parade of wild turkeys at least 30 through the front yard added to the charm of being in nature. The cottage had everything we needed except no outlet in bathroom for razor etc. orblow
Location was perfectly set in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go- Cabin is tiny and perfect for the two of us- got a chance to see both dear while on the porch and a whole "rafter" of wild Turkey! Even a super friendly neighborhood cat came by to visit- adored it!
This was the perfect get away for us! Just the right size, well equipped, VERY clean, and quiet. We LOVED being able to star gaze at night! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Quiet, Private, Very Clean. One Room Dwelling With A Small Kitchen and Bathroom Fully Furnished With Stove, Microwave, Coffee Pot, Dishes, Silverware And Dishes.
Cell Service, But No Cable Or Local T. V. There Was A CD And T.V. Along With Some Movies To Watch. Very Nice!
Our stay was great - Shelley communicated well and made sure we had what we needed. The cottage is cute and just as advertised - would not be good for a family but just right for the two of us who were celebrating our 41st anniversary!
Perfectly situated between the PA Grand Canyon and Cherry Springs. This was the ideal location to go out for the day and come back to recharge before going out again in the evening. The cottage was the perfect size and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I. It is exactly what you would expect from a small cabin. We would stay here again.
Cottage located in a quiet area right near Pine Creek, Rail to Trail, and good eateries. Loved the early mornings, sitting on the little deck having coffee and listening to nature.
We would come back again!

Quiet, clean & comfortable for a short getaway. Good trout fishing within walking distance.
We, ( my sister, Mother and I), found the cabin to be absolutely adorable. The location is scenic , perfect for walks with the dog and jaunts into Wellsboro, or a cozy dinner at the Log Cabin Inn. We didn’t get to try out the fire pit because we picked a drizzly weekend , but we had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this cabin again.
This is a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Wellsboro is a great town with great restaurants. There are hiking trails not from from the cabin that have spectacular views. Already booked again!
It was a very nice location, really cute cabin that was very clean. Loved the fire pit. Enjoyed the covered wagon tours at the Grand Canyon. ,close by. The bed was very comfortable. My only suggestion was, the bath towels should be replaced, they were very worn out, as well as the kitchen tee towels and dish cloths. The dvd setup was nice, even had some to use. A very nice couple of days to enjoy the fall weather.
This property was perfect for a getaway weekend for people who like the outdoors and want peace and tranquility. It's rustic but it met all of our needs for a long weekend. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.
We purchased the property in 2015 and it contains 3 separate homes. We began renting Chickadee Cottage in 2018. You can view our traveler reviews on Eagles Nest property number 694516.
