Lemoness is a lovely, quiet place to experience the fullness of a Florida vacation. It's not the typical Florida vacation rental property, which are nice, but all very much alike. Lemoness is different. It has character and charm. It's It's a restored 50 year old, two-story house featuring 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a large galley kitchen, and a Florida room, which combines a dining area as well as reading and conversation lounges. An upstairs deck accessed by the master bedroom, is a great place to enjoy the sunrise with coffee, sunset with wine, and the stars with your sweetie. You can also sit in the under the pergola out front, and drink your favorite beverage by the herb garden while enjoying the fragrances of lavender, rosemary, and other herbs.
This spacious house is decorated in an eclectic style, with comfort and ease of living in mind. There are many spaces to gather together and celebrate, eat or play games, and spaces to curl up with a good book, listen to music, play music, or create art. There is a fully fenced backyard for the kids and pets.
It has a 50'x50' lanai, which covers a 16'x32' solar and heat-pump heated pool, which keeps the pool warm, except during unusually long periods of cloud cover or chilly weather. (NOTE: Heat pumps must occasionally and routinely defrost in order to operate. However, they have difficulty defrosting when temperatures dip below the mid fifties. Unfortunately, this may happen for a few days at any time during December through February. This means the pool water may drop to the upper 60s or low 70s. This does not occur every Winter, and so far it lasts only a few days when it does occur. ) You can hang out by the pool in the day or evening with tables with umbrellas, lounge chairs, and a propane grill.
It is a short ½ mile walk to Manasota Key - down the shell road and over a draw-bridge overlooking the Lemon Bay. Manasota Key Beach has all the facilities that you need to make your beach day or evening sunset a complete pleasure -- great sunsets, great walks. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for your use. Four antique but serviceable beach cruiser bicycles are also available
The travel magazine, Conde Naste, referred to Englewood, Florida, as the "best family-friendly vacation town" in the USA (2013). It is said to represent "Old Florida", and the same can be said of Lemoness.
