Charming and meticulously cleaned cabin with panoramic view of the Green Mtns

Open year round, Robert Frost Mountain Cabins offers 7 fully furnished, artisan-crafted timber frame cabins at a picturesque & secluded setting in the Green Mtn National Forest. It's a getaway of rustic charm & contemporary comforts!

Cabin #1 - Peak Perspective is a favorite among returning guests. It boasts an amazing panoramic view of the Bread Loaf Mountain Range. The cabin has two cheerfully decorated bedrooms with beds so comfortable we're often asked where to get similar mattresses. The cozy living room also has a futon that folds out into a full size bed. And the living room's built-in Swedish nook is the most inviting spot that you can imagine - perfect for reading, snoozing or watching a movie by the fireplace. Your fully equipped kitchen includes everything to make yummy fresh meals. And if you can't find what you're looking for, just let us know and we'll be there in a flash. Oh, and the bathroom? It's large, bright and spotless with a tub/shower, soaps, shampoo, conditioner and oversized white bath towels. From your screened 12' x 12' back porch, you’re just steps to the wildflower meadow, trails, gardens, berry bushes and campfire pit.

In our common area, a.k.a. The Loft, you'll have access to DVD's, books, games, TV, exercise equipment, trail maps/guides and area information. We also invite you to explore and enjoy our trails, campfire pit, berry bushes, raised strawberry beds, frog pond and sledding hill.
After a day of exploring, our outdoor hot tub overlooking the Green Mountains soothes your tired muscles and is open 24x7.
Complimentary laundry facilities, just a short walk from your cabin, are always accessible.
In addition:
- Free business class wi-fi is available in your cabin and common areas.
- Firewood is complimentary and plentiful.
- Charcoal grill provided
- Complimentary snowshoes and sleds available

Nestled on 112 acres in the Green Mountain National Forest, Robert Frost Mountain Cabins are located “off the beaten path” on a well maintained gravel road in quaint Ripton, VT - summer home of renowned poet, Robert Frost. Our half mile long driveway is just long enough to leave your cares behind. The cabins are also just a short drive from the beautiful village of Middlebury (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) - home to Middlebury College. The college's downtown and Bread Loaf campuses are both less than 10 miles away. And the town has something for everybody - museums, historic sites, restaurants, music, art, shopping, Tasting Trail, hiking trails and more. For outdoor enthusiasts, nearby trails, ski centers, rivers and lakes offer an abundance of fun recreational opportunities throughout the year.

We live on the property and will be here to make sure that all of your needs are met. Forgot charcoal? We've got it. Want help choosing a hiking trail? We're happy to give you first hand advice. But we also respect your privacy and recognize that you may just be here for peace and quiet, solitude or quality time together. We won't be offended if you just want time alone.

Please note that the 43" UHD Smart TV in your cabin is provided for DVD viewing or streaming from your own account. The TV in our common area, The Loft, offers DVD viewing and streaming from our account.

Our well insulated cabins have been designed with both comfort and energy efficiency in mind. Each cabin has a high-efficiency split-system heating/air conditioning unit to provide our guests with year-round comfort.

If you'd like a wheelchair accessible cabin, please search for our Owl's Branch cabin.

It was great, but was about a 10min ride on dirt roads to the cabins. Some might not expect that

Beautiful winter get-away!
Spent a winter weekend at Robert Frost Cabins. Beautiful property, lovely cabins, unreal views on the surrounding mountainscape. Close enough to town for a meal, but far enough to feel peaceful and secluded. Went showshoeing on the property which was gorgeous! Would certainly stay here again!

Snowy adventure
Myself and my friend flew in during a snow storm just to spend a few days in the snow and enjoy the hot tub. We were late to arrive but made the most of our short time. The hostess was very helpful with directions and addressing my concerns. She even got groceries for us before we arrived. We met the host once we arrived even though we were quite late. We were able to enjoy the grounds, walk a beautiful trail, and then warm up by our fireplace. We even enjoyed the hot tub so much we used it twice one day. Excellent service and perfect experience.
