Rustic but charming house, perfect for families, in the natural park in the hills of la Peña. Breathtaking view to the mountains, the sea and across to Morocco. Beautiful, spacious and quiet garden with a big terrace facing south and a large, fenced private pool. Only 2km to the long sandy beach of Tarifa known for windsurfing and kitesurfing but also for swimming and relaxing. 10 min drive to Tarifa.

The house features 3 double bedrooms plus one small bedroom with a pullout bed for two persons, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a living/dining room.

Charming location

We had such a lovely time staying here. The house is charming, lots of character and very homely. We spent hours in the pool. It was so peaceful but very close by car to Tarifa and all the nearby restaurants. The house is located in a natural park with free roaming horses, goats and even pigs which was delightful (for clarity, they can't enter the garden). We had our teenage kids with us who also loved it. We would wholeheartedly recommend booking this for a lovely holiday.

Fantastische week in prachtige omgeving !

Wij (een groep bestaande uit ouders met zes volwassenen kinderen) hadden een geweldige tijd! Het huis staat in een natuurgebied met loslopende dieren (paarden, koeien, varkentjes, ezels) en een schitterend uitzicht op de zee en Marokko. We genoten van de reusachtige tuin en het heerlijke zwembad . De kinderen hebben kiteles genomen. Tarifa is vlakbij en superleuk, de stranden ook en heel mooi. Het huis zelf is heel sfeervol (oude boerderij ?) met een ontzettend fijne keuken. Het was erg warm dus jammer dat de airco in de woonkamer het niet deed! Dat was niet comfortabel en is een punt ter verbetering. Evenals de losstaande cooling units in de slaapkamers. Die zijn niet voldoende om het koel te krijgen als het echt warm is. Als laatste negatieve punt zijn er niet voldoende zitplaatsen in de woonkamer voor 8 mensen (als je tv wilt kijken), Verder was het heerlijk en hebben we ontzettend genoten !!

LLÉVATE UN ASPIRADOR Y REZA PORQUE NO ENTREN A ROBAR

La ubicación, vistas, piscina y el potencial de la casa es indiscutible. PERO: Llegamos y tuvimos que esperar 30min a que nos abrieran. Íbamos 4 adultos, 2 niñas de 8 años y un bebé La casa estaba indescriptiblemente sucia de telarañas, bichos,… que llevaban ahí acumulado meses (en las contraventanas…sin abrir durante mucho tiempo/olor a cerrado, en las sillas, mesas, mesitas, enchufes, esquinas de baños,… todo dentro de la casa. No me refiero fuera que puede ser algo más comprensible al estar ubicaba en el campo). Pusimos una queja a la persona de contacto y no sólo no lo soluciono si no que negaba que esa fuera la situación (a pesar de la infinidad de vídeos y fotos que enviamos). Total que para poder disfrutar de la semana de vacaciones perdimos los 2 primeros días limpiando nosotros a fondo todo (suerte el que haya entrado después nuestra). Las niñas con pesadillas con Arañas,… durante varias noches. Otro punto del que nos quejamos, tanto a la plataforma como a la persona allá de contacto: una de las puertas con acceso a la calle no cerraba…con la tremenda inseguridad que eso acarrea. Esta en mitad del campo y eso nos daba bastante susto, que entrara alguien por la noche, especialmente yendo con niños, bebé,… este punto TAMPOCO fue solucionado durante toda nuestra instancia. Una vez te ‘acostumbras’ (no quedaba otra, son las únicas vacaciones de verano) a estar con estas dos situaciones, pues al final intentamos aprovechar nuestra estancia lo máximo posible, eso si, minimizando el tiempo que pasábamos en el interior de la casa… PÉSIMO el servicio de la chica de contacto, espero esta reseña sirva para algo porque, insisto, la casa tiene mucho potencial pero ahora mismo es indignante que la hayan alquilado en estas condiciones y con este servicio.

A wonderful place to stay with the family

The photos for this property don’t do this wonderful home justice. It has an amazing feel to the place as soon as you walk in and it’s view, the pool and location are stunning. It has everything in it you could possibly need. We have had a perfect holiday here with our teenage sons and would recommend it as a place to create very special holiday memories.

Rustic but pleasant house

La pena is a rustic but nice house, big enough for a group of Friends. It is located right next to a farm so some days was a bit smelly. We spent most of our time on the terrasse which is nice with the view and despite the wind. Just have to be careful with the food because the ants arrive quickly ! The pool is great, kitchen as well, pity that there is no barcebue

La casa en sí estaba bien, aunque no del todo limpia (al llegar nos encontramos unos pelos en las sábanas y varias telarañas). Una pena que el trato no fuera el esperado: Cuando llegamos a la casa el viernes, la piscina estaba verde, por lo que no pudimos usarla hasta el domingo. Cuando quisimos cocinar una noche no quedaba gas, a lo cual no nos dieron una solución hasta el día siguiente. Más adelante, una noche cuando ya estábamos durmiendo comenzó a sonar la alarma de incendios a la 1 de la mañana repetidas veces. La respuesta de la casera fue que si no había humo no sabía que podía ser. Dormimos con miedo esa noche… Para colmo, una vez dejamos la casa, la casera nos ha acusado (con un tono agresivo y elevado) de haber rallado la encimera de madera (la cual sólo usamos una única noche y nunca cortamos nada en la encimera si no en las tablas de cocina). A pesar de habérselo explicado nos han cobrado 65€ sin mandarnos ningún tipo de recibo ni prueba. Una vergüenza… para el coste que tiene la casa no te esperas este tipo de cosas ni este trato de la casera.

Ideal para unas vacaciones de familia. Solo una pequena sugerencia que seria anadir una ducha en la piscina, lo cual deberia de ser relativamente facil y a un coste razonable.

Casa mejorable, buenas vistas

La casa está pensada para 6 personas, no 8. Una de las habitaciones era como un pasillo a otra y era muy pequeña. La limpieza era bastante deficiente: alguna sábana y toalla sucia, plaga de hormigas y zonas con muchas telarañas y sin limpiar. Mucha comida acumulada en la cocina del resto de inquilinos. La piscina estaba sucia con arena de playa. Al lado del garaje olía a desagüe y había agua estancada en el césped. Lo bueno de la casa son las vistas y el jardín que tenía.

Beautiful swimming pool. Great location. Spotless clean. Neighbors dogs barking but not a big deal. Immediate response owner when support was needed. Very nice atmosphere. Nice green garden. We would recommend it and like to return next year!

Fine, comfortable home on beautiful location

Our family stayed for a week in this characteristic and spacious house overlooking hills, the sea and if the wind comes from the west Morocco..the location is very private with a beautiful garden. Tarifa is a wonderful small town with lots of good restaurants and a pleasant atmosphere. Only disadvantage is the barking of the neighbouring dogs. If you’re sensitive to sound: bring earplugs.
