My Little Home (away from home)

This is a cool spot. Totally remodeled small cottage with drywall, several windows, ceiling fans, gas fireplace, TV, wireless internet, full kitchen, dishwasher, full bath w/shower and large tub, murphy bed, couch, chairs, glass tables, outdoor sitting areas. Downtown is about a mile away. Alicia was super helpful, and facilitated an amazing month in Asheville. I would not hesitate to return!

Home away from home

Alisia and William are exceptional hosts. They are very helpful yet let you have your privacy. The pictures depict the cottage accurately and the tub is every woman's dream. Bring those bath salts! They have thought of every little detail for your comfort, it truly is a little home away from home.

Great stay good people.

Alicia and William were great hosts. The place was very clean and had everything you needed. Located in a great neighborhood very close to downtown about 1.5 miles and the Biltmore about half a mile away. Quick ride down 25 and you can enter the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hope to make it back in the future. So much to do so little time. Thanks for a great stay.

Great location, spotless accomdations, perfect hostess!

All you need is a good book, your personal care products and some food. Everything you could want is there. No need to deal with traffic from any direction outside of town. Very close to Biltmore Estate and downtown. The owner is attentive, but not hovering. Friendly with your dogs and ready to make the cottage fit your needs. Modern, attractive place at a very reasonable price. Being from the area, I felt very fortunate to have found such a wonderful place with such a perfect hostess. I like my privacy but like to know I'm important and she has a great knack for making you feel like you are welcome. I highly suggest the cottage wthout any reservations!.

All the comforts of home

I couldn’t have picked a better rental than the Cottage for a month’s stay in Asheville while looking for a more permanent residence. Alicia was the perfect host: friendly, informative, helpful, and accommodating. The apartment itself is close to downtown yet quiet and away from traffic noise. It was surrounded by big old oak and pine trees, which kept it cool and shaded during the day. The super-size tub was perfect for soaking after a hike, plus there was also a walk-in shower for quicker bathing. Many thanks to Alicia and William for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Every detail is considered and provided.

Loved every bit of this little abode. Safe, comfortable and so easy to get to the Biltmore estate. Alicia thought of every possible item in this rental. She was very gracious and quick with her response when we needed one question answered.

Best location, best host!

Our cozy cabin seemed to not have heat for the first couple of hours but the host stopped by as soon as contacted and fixed our fireplace! It was a lovely stay, with everything necessary for a weekend in Asheville. Can't wait to visit again!

Pretty, comfortable, clean, and relaxing cabin

This cabin, while small, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's nicely decorated and clean. There is an outdoor space, nicely landscaped, with outdoor seating. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, a very relaxed vibe. I was here nearly a month without a vehicle and found it to be conveniently located with easy access to public transport. The hosts went above and beyond what I would expect. They were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderfully equipped and romantically cozy

Loved our stay at this beautiful cottage. Much, much better equipped than all other VRBO properties we have ever rented. The bathroom suite is glorious and luxurious. The Murphy bed is no cause for alarm, it was quite comfortable for us and super easy to put up and take down. Appreciated the hand-curated selection of films to enjoy. The owner is on site and was super responsive to any small needs we had. Highly recommend.

Everything you need in this cozy cute cottage nestled under a magnificent oak tree

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in The Oak Tree Cottage. The cottage itself is very private yet located in an active neighborhood. We had everything you could possibly need for a weekend or week away. Cozy yet very spacious and the spa-esque bathroom is especially wonderful. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We really appreciated the amenities the cottage offered especially after all of the walking at The Biltmore and in Asheville. Excellent location. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Oak Tree Cottage if our travels bring us back to Asheville in the future. The owner, Alicia was very nice and easily reachable.

Sweet clean well stocked with unexpected extras.

What a charming little cottage. Very clean and surprisingly roomy (definitely a 1 to 2 person). Very private ... family in residence on property available if needed. Necessities provided plus some lovely unexpected ones. A large bathroom with double shower and soaker tub ... could easily be a longer stay "home away from home". Located close to local restaurants and attractions. Biltmore estates just "around the corner". Downtown maybe 10 minutes North. Very hilly town ... Asheville map recommended. Yes, mobile maps get you there, but overall view helpful. Artist Community close by also. Good central location for access to outdoor activities. Would absolutely return for a stay at this cottage.

Cottage Studio

We came to visit Asheville and brought our wonder dog along. She and Alicia's dogs got along fabulously. The cottage was just right for two adults and there were a number of nearby places to grab a bite to eat and even a local microbrewery which was nice after a long bike ride on The Blue Ridge Parkway.
