About this property

Peaceful & Quiet 2Q Log Cabin w 3/4 Bath and Kitchenette

Beautiful hills, fantastic sunsets and recreation abound at our inn, about 15 miles east of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Heise Hot Springs, amazing hiking, zip lines, Par 3 golf, miniature golf, a driving range, climbing and rapelling wall, XC and alpine skiing, winter tubing, hundreds of miles of ATV trails, a pizza parlor and bird watching are all very close by.
On our property, all guests enjoy our complementary Borrow Barn with croquet, badminton, bocce, bicycles, a 9-hole disc golf course with maps and scorecards, board games, volleyball, tetherball, pedal boats on the Trout Pond and more. Firepits and wood provided for your convenience and quiet moments. A Trout Pond is central to the property where watching Golden Trout is a favorite past time.
Our motto is "Stories worth sharing rarely begin with 'So we decided to stay in.' " There is an amazing array of year-round recreation in our immediate canyon area. For a slower pace, take a scenic drive along the Snake River Road. This world famous fishing area is right across the road from our property. Wildlife sightings are frequent-- moose, deer, turkeys, eagles, osprey, fox, and more. Owls hoot each morning and well into each evening. A truly amazing area to disconnect and relax.
Our real chinked log cabins have two comfortable queen log beds, a 3/4 shower bath, floor space for little ones to sleep, and a mini-kitchenette with a small fridge, a toaster oven, a microwave, and a Keurig hot drink maker with your choice of hot chocolate, apple cider, coffees, tea and herb teas. Limited number of TV/DVD players and electric hot plates available upon request. All bath linens and bedding provided, of course. We use only eco-sense cleaning products— our property is too pretty and natural to do otherwise.

Perfect spot!

This spot was so perfect! We stayed 2 nights and it was so quiet and peace the whole time. It’s only about a 2 minute drive to Heise hot springs!

Hidden treasure

Great find! Scott the camp host is awesome. Sharon always had great communication. Cozy, warm, clean cabin. Great holiday decorations, had all the recreational activities nearby, hiking, snowshoeing, ski resort, zip line. Definitely will revisit during the season. We enjoyed our peaceful, R&R getaway. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great, beautiful and extremely clean.

Nice, extremely clean. Grounds are beautiful. We stayed in one of the cottages. Comfortable for the 2 of us, but would have been nice to have a table or chairs to sit on inside. Note there is no running water inside the cottages, no hot water in bathrooms except the shower. Wasn’t a big deal for us. We didn’t get any check in info and there were no signs for “office’ or showing who to check in with. We had to ask a camper and he said they had to flag down the gal mowing. Kinda confusing if you hadn’t been there before. I did appreciate all the extras like games, firewood, and barbecue. Great experience. There is a nice hiking just down the road.

Would do again!

Very quiet, cute and exceeded expectations! Nice place to hang out after a long day of travel. Not far from really good food, and fun activities to do on site.

Wonderful old-school family-style camp

Stayed in the newly remodeled cabin "Summer Camp" theme - cottage B it is also called. We loved it. Two giant queen size beds with marvelous clean, fresh, new bedding and all the darling amenities you would find in your Uncle's old cabin in the woods. We enjoyed a crackling campfire in a great iron fire-pit, glad I bought s'mores contents. We played games in the open air picnic pavilion too. Bring your own cooler full of whatever you need and don't forget coffee-makings. You'll love it.

Steve and Sharon Parry are the owners of The Aspen Grove Inn at Heise Bridge in Ririe, Idaho, since 2015. After looking for a place in Ririe, they bought the Inn on a total whim and have loved it. Absolutely loved it. With the help of amazing staff and builders, they have completely restored, built, and remodeled the entire property.
Steve practices estate planning and business law in Idaho Falls, while Sharon is a reformed politician and is now the Ririe city planner. They have a great life with kids, grandkids, and have logged over 5000 miles guiding rafts down some of the great whitewater rivers.
The Inn's motto is: "Stories Worth Sharing Rarely begin with, 'So we decided to stay in.' " Eastern Idaho is rich in national forests and national parks, every type of recreation imaginable, beautiful scenery, peaceful and quiet places, hot springs, and rivers. Now, with that list and our motto in mind, how we can help you design your next Idaho adventure and accommodations?
Hope to see you soon.

Why they chose this property

Peaceful and quiet place in Idaho that has a strong reputation for family reunions, romantic getaways, recreation, and the occasional wedding. Incredible wildlife viewing along the Snake River which is just across the road. Heise Hot Springs (1.2 miles away) and Kelly Canyon Ski Hill (5 miles away) are the two main draws to this Idaho countryside canyon, plus amazing scenic drives and fantastic regional activities such as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Idaho Falls museums, Rexburg Rapids Water Park, BYUI campus, wildlife sightings, and Bear World. Most guests appreciate staying at least 3 nights to take it all in.

What makes this property unique

All of our on-site activities are complementary with your stay, including pedal boats on our Pond (constant adult supervision required and no swimming in Pond), a disc golf course with maps/discs/scorecards provided, bicycles, board games, our Little Free Library, our super-popular bunnies on the property (no touching, please), and a Children's Play Garden.
