Tranquil Harbour is back and better than ever. The pool, gym, and hot tub are open, and the common grounds are landscaped exactly as you see in the photos.

Come and enjoy the amazing beaches, world-class fishing, and low-key attitude of the forgotten coast without all the stress from the other gulf vacation destinations.

Whether you're here to enjoy the calm, tranquil waters of the harbor right outside your front door, or the beautiful sandy beaches just steps away (about 300 steps to be exact) from your balcony, Going Coastal has something for everyone.

The unit is located directly across the street from the famous Mexico Beach Pier, where you can take in miles of beautiful coastline, try your hand at our world-class fishing, or photograph the amazing sunsets. It's obvious from the moment you pull up in your covered parking spot overlooking the boats all lining the docks right outside your front door that this place isn't like anywhere else you've stayed.

The 3 bedroom, two bath layout is great for families, or couples just looking to get away for a relaxing stay at the beach. The unit is well furnished, and appointed, so you'll have all the conveniences of home, only with a beach just steps away.

To make your stay even more enjoyable, you can visit our heated pool, take a dip in the hot tub, or hit up the gym if that's your sort of thing.

We try to accommodate boat slip requests with advanced notice, and most slips are capable of accommodating up to a 28ft boat with a 9.6ft beam.

- How far are you from the beach?
The condo is exactly 300ft from the beach, so about a 60-second walk. The nice part about the location is that you get to access the beach by the pier, so it's a very friendly walk, and you can enjoy the bathroom, sand shower, and water fountain facilities.

- Is this condo kid-friendly?
Absolutely. We have kids of our own, so we bought and furnished the place with families in mind.

- Can you see the ocean from the condo?
The harbor is literally out the front door of the condo, so you can certainly see the ocean, but we don't advertise a "Beach View" since we feel that the small part of the beach you can see from the balcony facing the ocean isn't sufficient enough to justify what we think is a beach view.

Our Vacation at Tranquil Harbor

We had a fantastic time on our first trip to Mexico Beach. Our Condo was clean, well supplied and wonderful. We all had plenty of room. The beach was not far away and we enjoyed it were much. We will be returning next year.

This is one of the best furnished condos we have ever rented! From all household items to beach wagon, chairs, and toys. Also, the owners were VERY responsive. Sent them a text and in a matter of a few minutes, they were replying! Great place to stay!!!

Beach stay

We stayed for a week at the condo with my daughter, her husband, and grandson. It was right across the street from the pier parking lot. The condo was clean and well set up for our family. Plenty of supplies. We enjoyed the peacefulness of Mexico Beach. The pool felt good after a long day at the beach. We will definitely stay here in the future!

Perfect Getaway

The condo is right on the canal, you can watch boats come and go right from the dining room or you can sit on the balcony and people watch. The condo is beautiful decorated and the furnishings are super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. They provided a beach buggy, 5 chairs, couple of umbrellas and beach toys for small kids. The pool is small but nice. You may want to bring extra towels and wash cloths. You definitely need to bring beach towels. The only real negative is they have the temp set at 72, you can turn it up but not down. The master bedroom gets a bit hot for our liking. The condo also has a couple of gas grills and a very nice outside sitting area right by the canal. The grounds are beautiful. We will definitely rent again!

Relaxing

This property location was very relaxing. Condo looks just like the pictures and has very good quality. My son and grandson enjoyed the fishing right outside the door. My daughter-in-law in-law and granddaughter loved the pool because the August temperatures were high. The beach was beautiful and the sunsets never disappointed. Great place for a home away from home!

Clean & Great location!

We had a great stay!The location is perfect for taking advantage of all the local area has to offer. You are close to Wewa, Tyndall AFB if you are military like us, Pt St Joe & it’s not even a bad drive to Pier Park.We took our boat and although the seas didn’t cooperate the slip was nice & very convenient! The place was clean.The garage parking was convenient to loading and unloading and there is an elevator although we didn’t use it.The owner was easy to communicate with and very nice.The good far out weighed the bad! You will need to bring your own beach towels as none are provided however, there is a wonderful beach cart with chairs.We didn’t use it but it is available.I wasn’t to happy being on vacation that I had to wash towels several times because only one towel each is provided and we were there for 6 days. We were provided with one roll of TP in each bathroom which was not sufficient for the time stayed nor was there any extra PT’s so bring you own or you will have to make a trip to the store.There’s no crockpot but the kitchen is adequate enough. I just like to put dinner on in the mornings, go to the beach & come home to our dinner all ready so bring your own if you like lazy cooking so you can enjoy time out of the kitchen! You can book with confidence and the good far surpassed the minor details mentioned. I’m just letting others know so they can throw in these few extra items and not have to go shopping for them.Pack ziplocks & a few storage containers.

Across a busy highway from a lovely quiet strip of beach

This unit is across US-98 from the beach. With the young children I found it easiest to drive across the highway to the beach parking lot which made schlepping the beach stuff easier. There was always plenty of room in the parking lot and beach access was easy. The beach and water itself at this point is lovely; it's the typical white sand and warm clear water we love about the Panhandle. Because the unit is on a busy highway, if you're hoping for a quiet morning coffee out on the balcony you'd be disappointed. This area is under significant construction because it was devastated by the hurricane a couple of years ago, so there are always big trucks passing by. The windows are well insulated because when you're inside you're not disturbed at all. The beds are comfortable. The unit is for 7 people but there were only 5 bath towels. If you like to enjoy wine out of a wine glass, bring your own. There are just 4 small tumblers. There are no beach towels (which we knew because I asked before we went) & no beach toys for kids (just letting you parents know so you know to bring all your own stuff). There is no beach umbrella but there are 4 (I think 4) beach chairs; we didn't use them as we brought our own. If there was an elevator we didn't find one. So, if you're mobility challenged or have really little ones then take note, because what goes up has to come down! Either take all your groceries with you, or stop at the Winn Dixie about 30 mins out on your way to the unit (if you're coming from Atlanta, for example), OR be prepared to drive another 8? 12? miles into Port St. Joe to Piggly Wiggly. Apart from a small convenience store next to the unit & another small (very well stocked) liquor/ package store next to the Post Office off the main strip, you won't find any grocery stores. Piggly Wiggly does excellent fresh steamed shrimp which travel well from there back to the unit. There is one in-dining restaurant - Shipwreck Raw Bar. Outside & inside seating. Very good fresh seafood, good drinks & good service. Crazy Beach pizza is a short bike ride (no bikes with this unit) or car drive down the street & it is some of the best pizza we've ever had....try the Key West pizza! We didn't try Shipwreck Raw Bar or Mango Marleys...both of which are mobile places while they re-build (I suppose, so I can't comment on those). Hair in the master bed when we checked in - that wasn't ours. :(.

Beach Beauty

Very nice condo with great amenities, I.e. pool and gas grill, comfortable furnishings, and close proximity to the beach. Our favorite spot is the Shell Shack where you can get fresh shrimp, snapper, flounder. We would definitely stay again!

Great response

Our stay was not what we were hoping, but it was NO fault of the owners. The property was filthy when we arrived, but the owner responded quickly and sent a new cleaning crew out immediately and made things as right as possible from far away. I am sure he will be using a new cleaning company from now on. Other than that, the condo was laid out well and a quick walk to Shrimp Shack, ice cream shop, and beach.

My family first came to Mexico Beach about 15 years ago in search of that "perfect little beach town" and we've been coming back ever since. As someone who grew up vacationing in Destin, I'd grown to love the Gulf waters, but learn to hate how crowded Destin, and other areas Gulf beaches became.

I longed for a place where I never had to worry about "holding my spot" on the beach, or spring breakers ruining my quiet time. I found it in Mexico beach, and we've been going back ever since.
