About this property

A cozy cabin just 20 feet from the shore of Toddy Pond

A cozy cabin just 20 feet from the shore of Toddy Pond with an open floor plan and 180 degree view of the pond.
Very private and quiet location 45 minutes from Acadia National Park and 15 minutes from Blue Hill.
One bedroom with queen size bed. There is also a newly built bunkhouse that sleeps 2 in a very comfortable pull out couch. Small music room with wonderful piano and upright bass. Two paddleboards and a canoe on sight to explore the cove and greater pond. Spectacular sunsets from the couch. Abundant wildlife: deer, turkeys, ducks, eagles, osprey, songbirds, and fox. No television to interrupt the atmosphere. There is reasonably fast wifi.
This cabin is our year round home and we rarely ever want to leave.

Magical

Absolutely spectacular! We couldn't have imagined a better place to stay - peaceful, quiet, cozy, and we had everything we needed. Sterling was so helpful and responded quickly to our questions. We listened to loons, watched bald eagles, paddle boarded and swam with our dog - we didn't ever want to leave! But there were so many hiking trails and places to explore within a short drive and we also made it out to Acadia a few times too. Lovely!

A perfect place to get away from it all

Accessing the property was a breeze and the cabin was very nice and clean. Sterling and Tara were very accommodating and had virtually everything we needed available when we arrived. They were easy to contact when we had questions. The location was great, close to Bucksport, Ellsworth, and Blue Hill for groceries, eating out, and hiking, even Acadia or Belfast for a longer day out. The property is in a quiet part of Toddy Pond and we enjoyed the quiet mornings with the loons and eagles. Entry to the water is fairly shallow and sandy which made it easy to get in and out. Our dog got to enjoy her first swim and liked splashing around in the lily pads. We recommend visiting and hope to stay here again.

Relaxing Spot on Toddy Pond

We know this area well, the location is excellent in every sense. The house was very comfortable, and the paddle boards, the canoe, and the kayak were in perfect condition. You will be surrounded by nature and wildlife. We enjoyed a daily canoe outing to check in on the eagle nest across the pond. While we did not meet the owners, they were welcoming and quickly responded to all of our questions. We highly recommend this home and would be thrilled to return!

Singularly beautiful

This visit was the most peaceful and serene stay in Maine that I have had in decades. Slipping out in a kayak or canoe in the morning became a routine; we saw loons and a bald eagle while on the pond, and the changing light on the water was an artist's delight. The cabin is carefully constructed, elegant, and offers a continual view of the pond through a stretch of windows. It was a total pleasure to be here.
