Fantastic family friendly cabin
Loved staying here with my kids (4 & 6) and our friends and their kids (under 1, 5 & 7)! Great spaces, very comfortable, well appointed kitchen and amenities for kids (pack and play, toys, pool table)! There is a closed door bedroom in the loft in addition to the two twin beds. That bedroom can get a little cold even with the wood stove on so just come with warm clothes! Rooms in lower level are very comfortable and with more floor space than I had thought. Nice neighbors as well! About 40 minutes drive (no snow or ice on roads) to Bear Valley so it was very manageable to get there in the morning for ski lessons. Very responsive and welcoming host!

Thanksgiving trip to Sierra Nevada
We made a two-day trip to the Sierra Nevada mountains during the Thanksgiving holidays. We were two families, us and our longtime friends that have spent many fun-filled vacations together over several years. The stay was good, we spent time a fair amount of time indoors given the relatively short period of sunlight. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well-stocked with supplies, games and good connectivity. Playing pool, watching Netflix and cooking meals were the highlight of the time spent at the cabin. For the most part, everything worked well, as noted in the description. The one sore point was during the check-in - the entrance was almost inaccessible due to the pileup of snow at the front door, that had not been cleared. Arriving late evening after a busy day and a long drive, we found ourselves having to shovel snow for about 20 mins to clear the path to the front door. Not something we were expecting to do on arrival. Sincerely suggest hiring a company to clear snow during winters. Besides that, everything else was great, as noted.

Wonderful Getaway!
Our family went for a visit to Big Trees to celebrate my kiddos birthday with our family-the cabin was perfect. Comfortable, well laid out, and spacious for all 7 of us (with extra room to spare!). My kids loved the pool table, which they had never before played- and I think that was the big hit of the weekend! We enjoyed BBQing one night on the deck, which was fun. There were tons of games, dvds, toys, etc which was so nice to have access to with our young kids. Victoria, the host, was very responsive and friendly. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! We can’t wait to be back-my boys are already asking about visiting “the red house”.

Wonderful Experience!
We had a fabulous time here. The cabin is in a great location. It feels like you are secluded away from everything but it's only a quick 10 minute drive into town for dining, shopping or market. The cabin itself is well stocked with anything and everything you could need. There were tons of board games, puzzles, books, Wii, TV's, pool table. The home was very clean and communication was very easy. We will definitely come back again.

Nice winter weekend!
Hello - Great weekend, clean house and comfortable beds! A few tips for the cleaning crew: - The dishwasher was full and clean, but not unloaded - The coffee machine was dirty with old, smelly grounds - There were beer bottles left out on the porch by the grill and trash/bottles on the front yard area.

Perfect Snow Weekend Away
Great stay with a group of 12 year olds for a birthday weekend to the snow! Plenty of fun in the cabin... Stocked with everything we needed to keep a group of 12 year olds entertained! This cabin has all the basics and more needed. It’s cozy, clean, quiet and off the main road. We had a wonderful weekend away with our son and his buddies!

Highly recommend this place. We can’t wait to make a return trip.
My wife and I took 6 kids (teens and preteens) with us to celebrate our oldest daughters 16th birthday. It was such a relief to walk into this place and find absolutely everything to be perfect for all of our needs. Snowed while we were there so got to play a lot in the nearby sno-parks. The property had a nice drier which made it easy to dry out snow clothes. The cabin was beautiful inside and out. Plenty of room for all of us and comfortable furniture, bedding, and plenty of bath towels/linens. The kids enjoyed playing upstairs in the loft which has a nice pool table, and it made for a great “teen” hangout. Thanks again to the owner!!

Great Cabin!!! Loved it!
Loved the house! It was clean. Love the loft and pool table. Loved the fire pit outside! Love the location. The TV downstairs was confusing. We had to hook up our laptop to it. The TV upstairs wasn’t hooked up to cable or device to watch anything. Couldn’t figure out the karaoke microphone. But we still had fun playing pool. The floors were soo slippery!!! No shoes in house so with socks on people were slipping and falling.

Great for quiet or adventure
This is a great location to stay, and hopefully we'll be able to enjoy again. Quiet area to sit and relax on the patio. Good wifi, so if you don't have a choice and have to still work. Pool table was a big hit. Big Trees is 5-10 minutes away, for a great hike adventure. Alpine lake took about 30 mins. We kayaked, enjoyed the view, and made a relaxing time of it at the end. **The only reason cleanliness got a 4 out 5 was that it does need a good high beam and ceiling dusting.

Choose this cabin!
We picked this cabin on a whim at the last minute and we are so glad we did. The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful, and she chatted with me like an old friend. The cabin is in the quietest little neighborhood and my family and I took daily walks on the street together to look at the cabins, deer, and squirrels. It is super close to Big Trees and Lake Alpine so we did both of those adventures and had a wonderful time each day. The cabin has big bedrooms and the cutest decor. It is obvious that the owners worked hard to renovate this place into something special. The kids loved the loft area with the pool table and lights above the beds. My only complaint was the housekeeping. The floors had definitely not been swept and there was breakfast from the last visitors scattered around. For some reason there was toilet paper wrapped around the lamp switches, and there were giant cobwebs throughout the cabin. There were pubic hairs in both tubs. When we visited, there were new Covid-19 cleaning requirements, and so the housekeepers were overwhelmed trying to sanitize surfaces, but it was unfortunate that some of the basic cleaning was not done. I went to work cleaning up the place as soon as we arrived, and the owner was super sweet and did everything she could from afar to make it right. This was most likely only an issue because of the new requirements and our last minute booking. Overall, staying at this cabin was the highlight of our summer and we hope to be back someday. Do not hesitate to book here!

Wonderful cabin getaway
We loved staying in this beautiful cabin, nestled in the forest. The location was perfect for us: an easy drive to downtown Arnold and 20 minutes to Bear Valley skiing. The rooms were spacious and the cabin had all the amenities we could ever hope for. We can't wait to stay here again.

Great amenities for families...the pool table was a hit with our teens!
The photos are an accurate portrayal of the cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and we found the kitchen well stocked for our needs. The location is great! Close to Bear Valley, Lake Alpine and Big Trees but not as crowded as Blue Lake Springs. Murphies and Mercer Caverns is just a quick drive as well. The cabin is tastefully decorated and has plenty of puzzles, games and even a karaoke machine (though we didn’t use it.) The only down side was there being only one shower (up stairs) but our party of 7 managed fine. Also, bring your own pillows...I think this probably holds true for 99% of rentals but I always forget! We look forward to staying there again.
