Old house to rent for holidays in Dordogne is located in a quiet and peaceful hamlet a few kilometers from Sarlat, and has a 3,000 m² garden, complete with heated pool 1 (*) of 55 sqm.
From about 83 m², the typical house consists of 1 living room with TV, stone fireplace and sofa bed, 1 fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 with mezzanine (1 double and 2 singles) 1 bathroom and 1 toilet.
All of this vacation rental is simple and comfortable.
Outside, swimming pool 11m x 5m infinity (heated on request and extra: electricity consumption on special counter at the pool)

Location not what we expected
Location description unclear-2km outside village on top of hill - not walkable for young/infirm. Billed as sleeping up to 6. Had one bedroom & mezzanine with single beds - it also included pull-out sofa bed in corridor beside the toilet door….. Bathroom needs to be upgraded considerably. Bathroom basin- had brown water from the hot tap on occasion. Toilet has an issue with the flushing system a plumber called but issue still existed! Disappointingly we were offered no monetary redress re toilet issue……. On top of a hill so some great views on nearby walks, pool area lovely but again the pool itself needs some attention.Property basically had some ‘rustic charm’, but the description needs to be rethought & more accurate - along with some investment. This was the 3rd property of our long stay in the Dordogne - it was by far the smallest, worst presented & the most expensive………

Rustic Villa, Lovely Location
This villa is in a lovely location, it’s very rural and you would need a car, but it’s beautiful countryside. The villa itself has good and bad points. The main living area and the main bedroom are lovely. The kitchen has been updated and has all modern conveniences. The pool area and garden are amazing. As others have said, the bathroom needs updating and does seem to have some structural issues, with very big cracks. The listing is not accurate. It says there are 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine floor, in fact there is one bedroom downstairs and the mezzanine floor is the second bedroom, above the lounge. My children are older (9 and 13), so this was OK. How it would not be suitable for adults or young children, as there is limited headroom and the stairs are unsafe. I don’t think it would sleep 6 comfortably, there is only 1 real bedroom. We were also not provided linen, although this was offered as an option to hire. The cost was very high which meant we had to purchase sheets and towels. We have stayed in many VRBO properties previously and bedding/ towels are always provided. If not, it should be clearly listed.

Super accueil de Jean-Marie, une figure locale. Environnement chaleureux (emplacement, voisins..) proche de tout. Rendez vous est pris pour l'année prochaine et nos 2 chiennes sont d'accord avec nous. Encore merci Jean-Marie. :-)

Ein toller Urlaub in traumhafter Lage
Der Urlaub war toll, die Lage des Hauses, der Pool und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter waren super. Das Badezimmer braucht eine Renovierung, das hat aber die Urlaubsfreude nicht beeinträchtigt.

Environnement magnifique et très agréable. Propriétaire sympathique. Gîte rustique... mais salle d'eau qui doit dater des années 80 (à la limite de la propreté)..... qui nécessite de toute urgence une remise en état... Piscine déclarée comme chauffée alors que c'est aux vacanciers de payer l'électricité utilisée !!!!! Obligation de payer le nettoyage (50€) fait par le locataire et 50 € pour présence d'un chien (terrain nettoyé tous les jours par nos soins). Quant à ABRITEL.... très mécontents...... l'agence n'a pas réussi à retrouver notre location.... et des frais exorbitants!!!!

Un petit paradis! Accueil et suivi formidable de Jean - Marie, une maison facile à vivre et une piscine fabuleuse. Les environs sont magiques et rien ne perturbent cet environnement bienveillant. Le seul problème, c'est d'en partir! Nous avons adoré !

Très logis logement de charme pour ceux qui aime le calme sans être très loin de toute activité. Nous avons passé un bon séjour malgré une météo moyenne et avons profité de cette belle piscine. Hôte très prévenant.

This little cottage has all the rustic charm you would want, everything is fully functional without being ultra modern, the location is very peaceful, the owner was at the end of the phone if anything was needed and a very friendly guy.

Maison qui tient toutes ses promesses
Jean-Marie nous a chaleureusement accueilli malgré notre arrivée tardive. Ce n'est pas qu'une maison, c'est une histoire, un pays, si bien contés par son propriétaire. Elle est idéalement située en pleine campagne, avec une piscine et des chaises longues si confortables qu'on pourrait le temps d'une baignade oublier que des sites remarquables sont à quelques kilomètres. La commune de Daglan et ses habitants sont accueillants. Arrêtez vous à l'Office du tourisme où vous serez très bien reçus et conseillés. À Bardille la nature est présente, nous marchons les pieds dans l'herbe et la tête dans les étoiles. Merci

Emplacement situé dans une zone géographique exceptionnelle du sarladais.
Convient parfaitement pour un groupe recherchant le dépaysement et sachant apprécier les vertus du terroir périgourdin. Propriété très bien située pour la découverte des sites classés alentour tout en étant très proche des commodités essentielles. Hôte disponible et convivial. A recommander.

Très bon accueil de Jean Marie. Maison simple mais tout ce qu'il faut à disposition. La 2éme chambre sous mezzanine est difficile d'accès pour des séniors( plafonds très bas, plus pour des enfants). L'emplacement de la maison nous a beaucoup plu dans une magnifique campagne au calme mais à portée de tous les sites a visiter et de tous les commerces. C'est un plaisir de retrouver la maison après nos balades.et la piscine est très agréable. Super séjour !

Maison ancienne typique en campagne avec tout le nécessaire. Grand terrain avec balançoires, une très belle piscine, des transats et un abris pour déjeuner. La terrasse derrière la maison est très appréciable. Le hameau est très calme et très reposant. Le propriétaire est très sympathique.

Maison charmante au milieu des champs
Superbe séjour à Daglan chez Jean Marie. La maison est charmante et la piscine est très agréable et grande. Nous avons pu profiter du site de Daglan et son fameux marché aux truffes, le canoë, les gouffres..., Nous avons passé à 4 de superbes vacances. Merci Jean Marie pour tous les conseils sur les activités à faire. Nous reviendrons sans aucun soucis
