This private cottage is the perfect home away from home to return to after a fun filled day in San Diego! Recently remodeled, 1 Bedroom with Queen size bed, remote controlled A/C, floating live edge wood ledge with bar stools looking out a nice size window into the backyard is a nice laptop friendly workspace, flat screen swivel TV you can watch from bed or at the table, large open closet area with dresser drawers and hangers and cute barn style doors make the bathroom and bedroom areas private. The living area has a sofa where you can relax while you enjoy the fast free Wi-Fi. The fully equipped kitchen provides all of the amenities needed for making and enjoying your own home cooked meals. With pub height table, 3 stools and a charging station this makes a great dining and workspace. You can eat also outside on your own fully fenced and gated private deck, perfect for your furry friends, with a passion fruit vine creating a partial privacy screen, sit at the patio table with 4 chairs and a gated side yard / walkway that you can use as an outdoor storage area - ideal for a bike or surfboard! Step down to the backyard with new Jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen BBQ area with Large sink, counters, Gas fire pit with custom built redwood benches around it, and the laundry room off the backside of the main house down the hallway The front and back yards are a common area for all guests of the property to enjoy.
There is currently construction going on next door as of Feb 2023 which May cause noise during your stay during the day.
Please beware of falling avocados from the giant tree! Feel free to use them for making homemade guacamole! Each room is decorated with all the comforts of home in mind. Sheets, towels, and blankets are all provided as well as dish soap, sponge, toilet paper, kitchen trash bags, and paper towels.

The location is unbeatable - at just over 1 mile, it is close enough to the downtown action and far enough to be a quiet place to return home at night. The home is located on a side street just steps from Broadway, our nearest cross street, and near the famous Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy neighborhoods! We have free street parking, (please reserve the driveway for the main house, unit E). The property has 6 units total -please inquire for group discounts if interested in more than one unit! Within just a few blocks you have your choice of a plethora of delicious local eateries, grocery stores, a local market around the corner and a couple of great coffee shops - Influx and Darkhorse within walking distance.
Just 2 Miles to the world famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park! Go downhill 1-2 miles west on Broadway and you'll run right by the action packed and amazing restaurants of the Gaslamp Quarter, pass by the Little Italy district and see a spectacular view of San Diego Bay where Broadway meets the water! Visit Seaport Village, The Star of India, several other ships and a submarine at the maritime museum with the Famous and Midway Museum - the Aircraft carrier you can tour! Our home is extremely convenient for Convention Center visits (2 miles). Riding home on the Bus drops you off just a couple of blocks from the property or use Uber or Lyft to get around for about half the price of a taxi. You can also hop on the ferry and cross the bay to Coronado for a day on the island or drive only 5 miles if you prefer to go by car. Golden Hill has easy access to all the major San Diego highways, making a trip to most San Diego beaches just 10-20 minutes away!

While our #1 priority is insuring that our valued guests enjoy their stay with us, we also have an equally as important commitment to our neighbors and our community. Below are the house rules that we must enforce. Please read them prior to confirming your reservation. If you are not comfortable with these rules, we encourage you to please make alternate accommodations:
• Minimum age of each guest 18 years unless accompanied by their parent / guardian if using instant book. (if under 21 please inquire)
• No smoking is allowed at any of our properties
• Overnight occupancy (including children and infants) is not to exceed the posted maximum occupancy. Occupancy is defined by the total number of people at the property at any time.
****NO PARTIES AT ANY TIME – a party is defined as any combination of the following; ANY loud noise and/or excessive drinking that is disruptive to neighboring houses and/or guests outnumbering the maximum amount permitted as defined above. A party will result in an immediate eviction from the property with no refund given under any circumstance. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by Southern California Rentals in writing prior to the arrival date. Fines will be charged for any guests who cause more than one noise complaint, or to any guest who's behavior incurs a fine from the City due to breaking noise disturbance rules per the city code.

Pets Considered at most properties, please inquire first rather than using instant book when bringing a pet. Pets must be screened for Breed, size and behavior and approved before a reservation is made. Pet fee applies and ranges between $95-195 per pet depending on type of pet and length of stay. Please do not bring additional unpaid guests on property without prior written permission.
For long term stays of 30 days or more, we require each adult occupant to pass a rental application that checks credit, criminal background and rent history. We reserve the right to refuse/cancel/alter your length of stay to 29 days or less if you refuse or do not pass the rental application. The cost of application processing is $45 per applicant.
Short term guests are encouraged to get a PO Box as we do not accept mail at this property unless a rental application has been passed first. Packages from Amazon and other stores are not affected by this.
Vacation Rental Agreement will be emailed to you for your digital signature and initials before your trip or signed in person before receiving access code at check in.
The Cleaning fee is charged to help cover the cost and time of Laundering bedding and towels which are provided clean for each guest. Professional cleaning of 8 man hours is also provided in this fee. Excessive dirtiness may require more than 8 man hours to bring the house back to the level of cleanliness it was provided for guests' arrival, this will be charged to the guest out of the deposit if more than 8 man hours of cleaning is necessary to return it to the level of cleanliness it was in for guests' arrival. Please empty your bagged trash into the outside black and blue (for recycling) cans. Only dispose of bagged trash in cans, and wash and put away dishes before checkout.
