Escape to VistaMar, a spacious, newly-remodeled villa in Coral Cliff, Santa Martha. Located near the former Sunset Waters Hotel, VistaMar’s seven bedrooms graciously accommodate up to ten guests. Three large terraces, boasting 200+ degree views of the Caribbean ocean and bay, provide the perfect setting for stargazing or simply appreciating the sunrises and sunsets on this beautiful island. Admire the views from the pool and its relaxing cascade, or from the nearby lounge chairs which are perfect for sunbathing while enjoying a serene sea breeze.

The top-level terrace features an outdoor dining area, barbeque grill, and sofas to enjoy dinner and cocktails. Inside the living room, you will find vaulted ceilings, comfortable furniture, neutral-colored décor, and 4 sliding glass doors for an unobstructed view of the ocean. The kitchen features everything needed to make a home-cooked meal and includes state-of-the-art appliances: refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, blender, and coffee maker. Alternately, there are a number of great restaurants within a 15-minute drive from VistaMar.

VistaMar is close to some of the best dive spots in Curacao. Easy shore access allows for all levels of diving and snorkeling, where you can procure equipment and schedule training and personalized diving trips. (website hidden)

VistaMar’s pricing policy is based on occupancy, i.e, you pay for the space you use, as follows:
• The base rent is for the first two guests, and
• Additional guests (above 2) pay only $45,00 per guest per night.

The more guests you have in your group, the cheaper it becomes on a per-guest basis.

Beautiful place, views, and place

A group of 11 of us, ranging from ages 10-80, stayed for a week over the holiday this December. The place was lovely and we all loved it.Plenty of place to spread out, relax, swim and be together. It is in a picture perfect location and the surrounding beaches were fantastic.It definitely is on the quieter side of the island and takes some driving to get there, which we appreciated, but is worth knowing!The reviews before us are all accurate: the place is super comfortable and the house manager Netty is super helpful and lovely. The main room does get hot, as the island is pretty hot! Hope to be back!

Awesome Oceanfront Villa

We are very impressed by the massive villa and the fact that 3 families could share 3 floors of the property with enough privacy. Netty, the property manager was extremely helpful and easily reachable for minor issues and questions. Our group had a really great time and thanks to Galo for letting us stay in his property. One suggestion is to have a large floor fan in the main living/kitchen area as it gets hot during the day. Thank you!

Fantastic Property!

This property is simply fantastic! We had a group of 7, and were able to spread way out and all have our own space for the week. You are able to enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset from the house and they were stunning! Definitely off the beaten path, but not so far out to be inconvenient. The house has a peaceful vibe and we found it to be exactly what we were looking for. Absolutely recommend!

Beautiful place!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Vistamar! The space is large and perfect for friends who want to spread out but still have time together. Our host and his property manager were very communicative. Property manager was available on ‎WhatsApp for any questions or help we needed. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. And the breeze kept the living space cool too. The villa is a little remote. You will need to rent a car preferably an SUV. There is construction going on before you get to the neighborhood, and you do drive on some rutted dirt roads for a bit. Overall, we had a fantastic day and would absolutely choose to stay at the Vista Mar again.

Amazing place and amazing host.

The place was as advertised! Spacious, clean, views. It was perfect for our group. The pool was awesome. It was the perfect place to spend Thanksgiving. The host was in point. He was always quick to answer any questions and Netty was as well. Highly recommend this place.

Solid 4+ star stay

This property was ideal for our extended family group of 9 adults. The house is a bit off the beaten path but in great location in the middle of the island with an amazing view. There’s plenty of space to spread out in the main house and the two smaller apartments. The fantastic pool area with sun and shade was a fun place to spend time and enjoy the beautiful views. The well-equipped kitchen and gas BBQ made meal prep easy. Communication before the stay was great, and the owner provided very detailed directions to the house. The caretaker was on time for check in and check out, and she coordinated a chef to come cook a delicious dinner for us one night. I didn’t give five stars because there were some minor maintenance issues. I did let the owner know, and he is working to address them. Also, the main living area and kitchen are very hot later in the day and could really use a fan. While this is completely outside the owner’s control, there is construction happening just below the house, and the noise started early and was very noticeable in some of the bedrooms. Please note none of these issues would keep me from booking here again or recommending the property.

Beautiful house and perfect location

Every year I take my friends on a vacation for my bday. I rent high end houses. I chose this house for the # of bedrooms, the ocean view and close proximity to the best beaches on Curacao. It didn’t disappoint. Galo and Netty are fantastic. The house is well equipped, big pool, spacious inside and outside. Private and up a hill with gorgeous sunsets!! Plenty of cookware / dishes/ glasses and some spices etc. On way to house, grab some toilet paper, paper towels, dish washer soap and washing machine soap. Pack light as there is a washing machine. Best beaches within 20 minutes and town 45-1 hour drive. Would definitely recommend this house!!!

July Vacation

We had 11 people from 3 different families in this house. The size and design of the house gave each family their own space, but we also had areas that we could all be together. The views can not be beat. The pool and the outdoor space was amazing. The hammocks are wonderful, as well. Great place to stay, it is out and away from the downtown, but we like it that way. However, with that said, you are still very close to so many beaches and restaurants, that it doesn’t matter. Wonderful place and would definitely recommend it to other families.

Fantastic views

Vistamar was a delight, with stupendous views - from sunrise through sunset. Though it is off the beaten track, that can be an asset if you’re looking for quiet relaxation in a gorgeous setting. Strong recommend.

Curacao Spring Break 2023

What a great place to stay. Away from the hustle and bustle, quiet (except for the wonderful birds) peaceful and the views were amazing! The house was gorgeous and well equipped. Pool was amazing. Plenty of room for our party of 13. Had great weather the entire week. Had a couple of hiccups during the week with water and power that were taken care of quickly with responses from owner and caretaker quickly! Neither of which was a house itself issue Would recommend this property 100%! Our care taker Nettie was wonderful and responsive! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Incredible Home with a Beautiful View

We were a group of six staying at the property. I’ve never been so impressed by a rental home. I had high expectations and they were surpassed. The sunset every evening was spectacular. The home felt luxurious and spacious. Galo and Netty were highly accommodating. We worked from home for two days while there. The internet was very strong on the top floor, less so on lower floors, so when we needed to do Zoom calls we just took them from upstairs. I’ve never been so highly motivated to recommend a property to friends and family, this one is special.

Espectacular, The host is a wonderful and kind person. The administrator and the person in charge of the maintainance were very nice and kind persons too, they were always willing to help if something went wrong. Common áreas, rooms, pool, the view, were top 1%. Very confortable. The property was very near from the Best beaches.

Amazing views

We had a wonderful week staying at this beautiful home. Although it was a bit of a drive from Willamsted it’s in a great location for getting to many of the gorgeous beaches! The only negative was that the main living area and kitchen weren’t air conditioned (only the bedrooms) but we spent the days at the beaches and evenings by the pool so it wasn’t a big problem. And the breezes coming off the water were great. Great communication from the owner and property managers

Magnificent View

Beautiful property! Ingrid the property manager was super! The owner Galo is very pleasant and responded to emails/ phone very quickly. The views from inside the house were phenomenal. The location is remote with other homes surrounding. If you are looking for relaxation, this is your spot !

Excellent place to stay on Curacao !

Beautiful Villa with priceless views. Villa offers great areas for communal or private space - kitchen is well equipped for any type of cooking, we ate out most of the time but cooked 2 nights. Very close to the best diving on the island ( west end ) and a great dive shop - Go West Diving. If you are heading here for diving, Watamula is probably one of the best dives we've every done - a must do. We aged out between 18 & 65 and with the different apartments and main living area - plenty of privacy for all. Galo is the perfect host and very accessible - one of the best stays we've had in any of the islands - highly recommend !!

Great Stay in Curacao

Our group of 11 had a great time in Curacao especially the stay at the house. The rooms were spread out so that 3 different groups could have their own location. The view is tremendous and bird watching from above the birds in the trees below was great. The responses from the owner and the local property managers were prompt and accurate. Wonderful experience

Vista Mar was amazing! We usually travel islands and go to all the beaches, restaurants, etc. While we did do a lot of that, the majority of our time was spent at our villa. Ocean views, peaceful surroundings, private pool, fully equipped kitchen..... so relaxing to just stay 'home".

Stunning

I wish I could rate this property higher than 5 stars. The pictures don’t do this gorgeous home justice. Our group could have spent our entire vacation at this house and never left to explored the gorgeous island. The house and the location was so spectacular, that you don’t want to leave. I have been renting homes for vacations for a good 10 years now. This has been by far the best experience in those 10 years. No one in our group had been to this island before, so we were a little nervous to be so far away from town. Galo (Host) assured us the area was safe and provided us with great advice for traveling around the island. The area is completely safe. The property manager was fantastic, and was just a simple text or phone call away. He lives close by as well and he responded quickly to anything we needed. There was a beach within walking distance as well as access to the ocean very close to the house. Both locations are fabulous for snorkeling. Some of the most amazing beaches I have ever seen in the Caribbean were just a short drive from the house. Very few people at the beaches, we practically had theses beaches to ourselves. Again, amazing snorkeling, and calm beautiful waters to just swim and relax. We spent most of our 10 days at the house or exploring the beaches around the house. We went into town once, which was very nice and we had a great day of shopping and exploring the beautiful downtown. There are some beautiful beaches near the downtown area, but much more crowded. We preferred the less crowded more secluded beaches closer to the house. Our entire experience was amazing. The house and the views of the ocean from every room was breathtaking. The weather was perfect. The multiple hammocks throughout the house provided the perfect place for a nap, or to read a book out of the sun. The outside dinning was amazing with the views of the sunset each night, just spectacular.!! This is a perfect house, an amazing island, with the kindest people. I also can’t say enough great things about Galo and the property manager. They made sure we had an amazing experience. In all the years of of renting vacation homes, a host has never called me after my visit to follow up on my stay. He wanted to make sure we had a good experience, and ask if he could improve anything. Excellent customer service, and concern that we as guests had an amazing experience. Enjoyable Vacation

Our week stay was absolutely great . I would make a couple of suggestions. Garbage truck only comes out once a week ( Monday’s I believe ) pool maintenance service is once week as well & would of preferred a larger bbq pit . We cooked out alot . ***other than these few suggestions all was perfect . In a heart beat would stay here again ! Gracias Sr Galo , disfrutamos mucho su hermosa casa durante nuestra estancia en Curacao . Nos vemos próximamente.

Beautiful views

Really enjoyed watching a different sunset every night. The views are breathtaking. Saw two rainbows while we were there, absolutely beautiful. Wildlife all around, the parakeets were our favourite. Dirk and Inge are amazing to deal with, we loved our time getting to know them. They made the trip amazing.

Birthday trip

Myself and 8 of my friends stayed at the home for my birthday week. I just want to say how gorgeous the house is. The pictures do not do it justice. On one night the electricity was out in our area which was so unfortunate because it was the night before my birthday. We called the property managers and they said our lights would be back on in a couple hours we woke up the next morning at 5am and the lights were still out. I would suggest a generator. Also the house is really far from the main area (about 40 mins) so keep that in mind when you book. All in all I loved the home. The view is beautiful, pool is nice and clean and kitchen has everything you need. Make sure to buy groceries before you head to the house. Also Netty cooked for us the first night and it was delicious!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you request her services. She cooks traditional Curaçao meals.

Spectacular House With A Stunning View

This is a magnificent house with room for large or even multiple families. It is located in a very remote area of the island (which made it perfect for "social distancing"), so occupants will definitely need a car to get around. The property is immaculate, the pool is great, and the views from almost every room are absolutely breathtaking. It is not the easiest place to find, but once you are there, you will never want to leave!

Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador I am a dual citizen of Ecuador and the United States. I spent over 30 years living in the US and working in the US financial industry. I received my MBA and MS from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas and an additional master’s degree in finance from Florida International University, in Miami, Florida. I currently reside in Quito, Ecuador and am the owner of several businesses. I am a very open, friendly, optimistic and enthusiastic person. I am also an avid traveler and speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. I want my guests visiting Curacao to have a place that feels like home.

Why they chose this property

My family and I first visited Curacao in 1993 and instantly felt in love with the island. A few years later, we were invited to stay at a friend’s house in Santa Martha Bay, located on the west of the island. Since then, Curacao has been our favorite vacation destination, and so much so, that four years ago we purchased VistaMar, which is just a stone’s throw from my friend’s home. With its beautiful, white sandy beaches, spectacular coral reefs and views of Christopher’s peak, I think the Santa Martha bay area is the best part of Curacao.

VistaMar overlooks the Caribbean Sea from the vantage point of an impressive cliff side. We did not spare any cost when we remodeled the villa and expanded it considerably to accommodate our large family. We love having "everyone under one roof" to celebrate our family gatherings, important anniversaries, graduations and casual reunions.
