Summary:
This wonderful space is close by Mission Bay Park. You’ll love it because it's completely furnished and opens through French doors to a spacious patio which was updated just this year with a built-in grill, gazebo, fridge (stocked with beverages) and lounge seating! A king sized bed, a meal prep counter, a full bathroom with walk in shower, smart TV, mini-split AC and heat, and high speed wifi (that works well enough to take a Zoom meeting on the patio) round out the space.

The Space:
This is a guest suite that is part of a larger home. The suite is self-contained with a separate entrance and totally private and separate from the main home. Also, there is a weightlifting rack and equipment on the property (please let us know in advance if you'd like to use it!).

Guest Access:
The patio and outside areas are shared with the other studio on the property and the owner who lives on-site.

The Neighborhood:
This home is located in a safe, friendly and family-oriented neighborhood. You may find yourself invited to join the owner and neighbors for a Friday night neighborhood cookout (feel free to say no). On any given Saturday, you will probably see kids and dogs running past the house - if you've got a kiddo (or a dog), they will be invited to join!

Getting Around:
We always recommend a car to get around San Diego, but we are a just quick 5-10 minute walk to the Balboa Dr. trolley station if you wish to use transit during your visit and Uber/Lyft are also very convenient in San Diego. Street parking is readily available and free right in front of the unit.

Other Things to Note:
This studio runs on green, solar energy.

Want to workout while you're in town? We have everything you need in a fully stocked home gym including: squat/bench/pull-up rig, men's bar (20 kg), women's bar (15 kg), training bar (7 kg), bumper plates (5 - 45 pounds), jump ropes, box, bosu ball, training bands, mats, slam ball and wall ball.

For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month's rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement.

Beautiful Garden Retreat!

We were here visiting family and enjoyed the beautiful garden area! The room has every amenity we needed. The bed is very comfortable. We would stay here again!

Summer Start

What a great way to start our summer. Our stay at Adorable Mission Bay Studio was beyond perfect. It was just as described. The patio was so relaxing for an early morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine before bed. The studio was comfortable and had everything you needed. This was a great location to every activity in the San Diego area. We would recommended this to anyone who is visiting the area.

Great SanDiego getaway

First time I have used Vrbo and the experience was great. This casita was more than my expectations. It had everything you could want. I will definitely come here again. The outside patio area was as wonderful as the inside. I can’t say enough about how relaxing this little diamond was!!

Room was dirty and not ready.

We were very exhausted after driving long hours from the Bay Area and found the room dirty and not ready for us. The owner apologized, gave us 1 night refund and directed us to an alternate place. We were very , very disappointed because we were expecting to stay in the place shown and described in the photo.

Great studio!

Lovely studio with beautiful outdoor BBQ space. Perfect place for my husband and I to stay while visiting our son at SDSU. Well stocked with everything we needed. Host very responsive! Will stay here again.

Amazing place!

My wife and I use VRBOs all the time for vacation. This place is amazing. If you are looking to explore San Diego this is the place to stay. The trolley is a short walk that takes you to all the places you want to, old town, downtown, little Italy or a padres game. The place has all the amenities that two people would need. The owners are very friendly and responsive. I’d give this place a 10 out of 10!

Read the fine print.

upon reviewing the location information, it was assumed that the outside yard would be available only to you. I was wrong. The location has three other apartments which had access to the yard. I brought my 4 dogs upon seeing the yard but it turned into a nightmare. The owners sister lives in one of the lower apartments. Her children came out and when the dogs saw them, they went after the kids. One of the kids was bitten by one of my dogs. No puncture wound but a bite mark. The owner's sister report the incident to the owner who contacted us and asked us to leave the following day. It worked out for us as the locations was extremely small and one of our dogs got a bad bacterial infection. Make sure you read all the information on the property you like to rent before making any decisions. The owner did reimburse me for the one day. It was learning experience for me and I will asked many questions if I decide to use VRBO again.

Mom and daughter trip

I came down with my mom to spend the week and visit my husband who is one North Island Base. The place was safe, quiet, and just wonderful for us. We enjoyed the outside area the most! Loved this place.

Great location and place to stay

We absolutely loved staying here. The property was clean, perfectly located (pretty much 15 minutes anywhere -- except during rush hour, of course). Communication with Aaron was amazing. The courtyard was our favorite place to be. The pictures are a little dated: there are minor differences in furniture and appliances, but nothing that should change what you think about this place. We would definitely stay here again if we come visit San Diego again.

San Diego Getaway

Decent stay, not dog actually friendly

The place itself was nice with a great courtyard; however, not 100% privacy due to the fact that the owner’s sister and her family live upstairs. Also not really dog friendly.. despite what the description says. You share the space and courtyard with property owner’s sister’s family, where you can hear foot steps and toilet flushes from above you. As well as strangers walking in and out of front gate through courtyard. Despite what description says, this is not very dog friendly. There are signs all over the courtyard saying, “no pee and poop zone.” But also, when my boyfriend and I went out for a few hours one evening, in the matter of 30 minutes, the owner’s sister had texted me several times, called/left a voicemail, emailed me and messaged me through the VRBO app saying our dogs kept barking and we needed to come back. I understand that can be frustrating but several irritating things occurred: there need to be boundaries for the sister if they are going to allow people to stay in their “space.” As well as taking down the sign in the courtyard that says, “quiet hours: 10pm-9am” when she started blowing up my phone at 8pm. When we met her the next day, she let her dog poop in the “no poop zone” then proceeded 10 minutes later to say that was our dog’s poop and to clean it up… Overall, not happy with this stay due to those instances. If you don’t bring your dogs and don’t care that you do indeed share a space with someone’s family, then you’ll do fine.

Anniversary Trip

Clean, Great Amenities, and Fantastic Location

All of the communication from the property manager was fantastic. They told us what to expect, how to get into the property, and anything else we wanted to know. The place was in a nice neighborhood and was very clean. The amenities were fantastic, as they had some cold beers on the patio. We found out just how great of a location it was. We were within 15-20 minutes of everything we wanted to do. It has really good highway access and was also very close to a tram station. It was everything we could have wanted.
