At night you can hear the sounds of frogs and crickets chirping. In the day time, enjoy time out on the patio relaxing reading a book or BBQ’ing all while deer roam past and even a flock of turkeys can be spotted and heard as they make their way around the property.
Where ever you are coming from to get away – Pine Mountain Lake has it all! Play some golf, dine out, go hiking, go to the marina & lakeside café, swim center or the equestrian center. Nice house with bad mattresses

Pros: - Nicely updated house is large enough for a family of 5 - Good size 3 bedrooms - Updated and functional kitchen - The house is clean and well maintained - 12 minutes' drive from Marina; 5 minutes' drive to Dunn beach - The property manager responded promptly and helped us to fight with flies and ants in the house - WiFi speed is sufficient to work remotely - AC keeps the temperature inside the house Cons: - Undisclosed steep driveway which minivan with a hitch attached can't access We were lucky, across the street neighbor gave us permission to park on his property. - All 3 beds have terrible broken mattresses to the point that we were unable to sleep at all. The mattress in master-bedroom wasn't just old or uncomfortable. The mattress actually caused the head to become the lowest point in the body and slowly slide down until it touches the board. Squeaky bunk bed falls apart shortly. The sleep conditions spoiled our vacation.

Family Reunion

Every year our family gathers at Pine Mountain Lake, this year was tough to plan due to COVID. We knew we wanted to go, but that it was going to be tough to find houses. We are so happy we found this one! It is so nice and open. Perfect for our family time. We would love to stay here again!

As advertised, but pain in the butt because of the gated community entrance

Horrible gated community set up which charges you $31/car to get in (the property owner is completely up front about this - and he has no control over it). The thing that really stings is that you pay this extra money to be seriously inconvenienced. Each car takes about 3-4 minutes to process (the guest must be looked up, checked in, the license plate noted, a pass issued, directions given, etc), so on weekends there is a huge wait to get in. The last thing you want after a long drive to the Yosemite area. To top this off, if you make a wrong turn, you can easily pass through a one way gate (tire shredders prevent you from backing up). So, one wrong move, and BOOM, you're on the other side of the community, driving back along the main road to wait in line again for 30-45min to get back in (even after you receive your pass, you have to wait in this line). This happened to us with 3 cars. To top it all off, we were charged an extra $93 to have this experience. There's absolutely no need for a gated community in this remote area as far as I can tell. It seems like a racket. Now, I rated the checkin process low not because of anything the property owner did (communication was perfectly good, and everything was as expected), but the gate check in process was pretty terrible. IMO, they are reducing the value of the properties by doing what they are there. Now on the other hand, the place was just as advertised, and the communication with the owner was good, and the community is about 8min drive to downtown Groveland. The house was clean, though the amenities were pretty bare bones. For example, no tea or coffee, the shower gel canister was empty, no paper towels in the kitchen, etc. Not a big deal, but the AirBnB we stayed a couple of days later in the area had lots of thoughtful touches. It makes a small difference. However, if you're looking for a clean place to stay, this is it. It's near the lake, and there's plenty of parking. Communication with the property owner was good. I really feel the hassle of the gate (and the extra costs) were a significant downside and ought to have been reflected in the price. Other properties in Groveland cost about the same, but don't come with the issues.

Great place to stay for Yosemite.

This property is very nice the pictures do it no justice. Although we did have to pay thirty dollars to get into the community it is really nothing because you do get a lot of amenities for the money. The property is also very close to Yosemite about an hour and a half to the valley. There is a small market up the street that is perfect the prices are better than most major markets. Overall it was a great trip and the property was excellent.

Open, Bright, Clean, and Pretty

We enjoyed this house as two sisters, husbands and kids -- two four-year olds and a nine-month-old. We were here for a semi-annual Thanksgiving gathering in the home of relatives who live near Groveland. The extended family has grown too big to stay at the main house so it works well to find nice places in Pine Mountain Lake, and this house was top-notch! The clean (a must!!) open main kitchen/living space is just as pictured, bright and cheerful, which was fun and easy for all. The two adult bedrooms and two baths made it easy to rest and get ready for activities, and the four-year-olds slept together on the extra-wide bottom bunk. Unexpected bonus was a large walk-in closet for the baby's portacrib, where she took good long naps! Everybody happy, and we would choose this house again. Thank you.

Clean, spacious, welcoming!!!

I can't say enough great things about this home. It was beautiful! Clean! The property manager is awesome too! The smoke detectors started chiming at 7:30pm. He got there within 2 hours and took care of it! The pool is great the staff super nice. My husband and I have been so stressed with life and this was the get away that we needed. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Clean, Comfortable and better then home!

My family of five (my husband and myself and three children; 11,9, 6) all enjoyed this house! The house was immaculate when we arrived there were plenty of towels and the basic staples were in the pantry. We all had a comfortable bed to sleep in and space to move around and not bother each other when we were there. The house was in a community that had a lot to do and very friendly people as well. We were 30 min from the Yosemite gate and another 30 to Tuolome Grove to see Sequoia trees. One more hour and we were in Tuolome meadows ready to hike more challenging hikes. We stayed during the valley closure due to the Ferguson fire but there was so much to do in this area we never wanted for fun. We ate at a Mexican restaurant in Groveland that was very good and utilized the grocery store for all our groceries. We had a fabulous time here and feel very lucky that we had such perfect accommodations to stay in.

Worth the stay

The house was clean and located in a good neighborhood. It was spacious and there were grocery stores and restaurants not too far from this place (10-15 mins one way). Pictures depict the way house really is. There were however some minor concerns. One of the ceiling fan in a guest room was not working which I won't say is the fault of owners as they might not have been aware of the issue. The house was all organized but the dishwasher was all stacked up with clean dishes which were not yet put back by the owner/s. So, to add more dishes that we used during our one night stay we had to put back some of them in cabinets to make space. The washer and dryer were not empty either for us to be able to use any of them. If these issues are worked on, this would be an ideal place to stay close to yosemite.

Perfect place to unwind, relax, and get away from the day-to-day stresses.

This spot was perfect for our "grown" family. There were five (5) of us total, and we had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The place had everything we needed and being in Groveland, it was in perfect striking distance to Yosemite National Park. The nights were quiet and the stars were plenty. The owner was very responsive and very easy to work with. We plan on coming back when we have more time for an extended stay...
