Old Florida paradise bungalow on the water

Recently remodeled two bedroom bungalow right on the water. All rooms have waterviews. Old florida style home located in Ozello Keys near restaurants and several natural springs. People from all over the world come here to enjoy swimming with Manatees and world class fishing. Scallop season is also a big attraction. The home has 2 bedrooms with one bath, granite countertops kitchen and screened in front porch. Most attractive is the back deck with firetable, gas grill, fire pit, and private dock. Included are 2 kayaks for your enjoyment. You can also fish off the dock or bring your own boat. there are several nearby ramps to the property and all in very close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. Use our traps to catch fresh Blue Crabs right off the dock. People here are very friendly all around Ozello, Crystal River and Homosassa. There are 3 flat screen TVs with Firesticks/Roku. Use them to access Netflix and other Apps. Free Wifi included. Enjoy this diamond on the rough.

Very relaxing

Enjoyed our stay. My husband had a great time fishing and crabbing from the dock. The house very decorated beautifully and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Great little place

For the most part the place was great! Beds and furniture very comfortable and pretty. Deck and sitting area on the deck were beautiful. The only suggestion is a couple of fans on the back deck. It was very buggy and there was a wasp nest at the house next store that appeared to be abandoned. The mobile homes on either side were vacant and appeared to be for sometime. Location to Springs and dining were great!

Perfect Escape with a Splash of Adventure!

If you're seeking a getaway from the chaos of normal life, look no further than this cute bungalow! We had a blast kayaking—just make sure you launch at high tide, or you'll get a bonus leg workout clambering off the dock. The views? Absolutely stunning. The fishing? Top-notch. The bird watching? Even the birds were impressed. Plus, being close to Three Sisters Springs meant we got to swim in crystal-clear waters that looked like a scene from a postcard. The Island Outpost nearby was our go-to spot for food, weekend tunes, and general store goodies. It's basically the island's version of a Swiss Army knife—has a bit of everything! The locals were friendly, making the whole area feel welcoming. Even when we got locked out because of a dead battery (whoops!), the owner swooped in to save the day faster than you can say "VRBO customer service was less than stellar." Seriously, the host was a gem. All in all, a wonderful stay that we'll definitely repeat—next time, we'll bring spare batteries!

Worse VRBO experience

The pictures and descriptions online are deceiving . The only good thing about this stay was the attendant who managed the property helped me out with a surprise for a birthday . That was on point everything else was not a good experience. The back doors do not lock AT ALL. So there’s a concern for safety there . There were holes in the walls by the baseboards in some rooms and on two occasions we found massive spiders , one being above the bed . We understand we’re in a remote area with nature but these spiders were the size of my hand . I’ve had bad experiences in the past with spider bites and that was two too many for us . When we decided to cut our stay I contacted the owner and he said that’s not a legitimate reason to leave . This was After I explained the spider issue and the back doors not locking at all. His response was careless and said he treats the property every 3 months for pests . But if you have doors that don’t lock and not close all the way and holes in the walls , you’re going to have things coming into that house no matter you treating the property . Needless to say the owner was careless and did not seem that the issues at hand were important . I feel first and foremost safety and security is number one when staying in someone else’s property and we barely slept the night before worried that anyone could come in there . I will not recommend this property nor this host . Everything about this property was deceiving !

Cute location for a weekend or longer....

Our experience at Ozello was delightful. We relished kayaking, catching crabs with the provided cages, and admiring stunning sunrises and sunsets. Nearly every window boasted a scenic water view, except for those facing the front. The community members were warm and welcoming, contributing to a memorable stay. We look forward to returning in the future.

A True Gem!

We truly enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and relaxing. My kids had an amazing time just watching the wildlife off the back dock. The waterfall shower is amazing. A great place to get away and unwind.

Best Florida stay ever!

We love this place. We "discovered" the Ozello Keys back in 2019 with a 10-day stay at a different location and decided to do a full month this year. Saw this place and booked it. It's been recently renovated and is very attractive and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and both bedrooms and living room are nice and comfy. Bathroom has a roomy shower and there are on-site laundry machines, which is a great convenience. The deck with 2 screen houses - one for seating around a fire table, and one for dining - is perfect for bug-free relaxing. I fished off the dock almost every day - caught red drum, black drum, spotted sea trout, and lots of catfish. The waterways are fun to paddle around on in the kayaks provided. The property is private and very quiet. Owner was easy to contact and very accommodating. Will definitely stay there again.

Nicely remodeled after hurricane

We learned that we were some of the first guests to stay in the property after it had been remodeled due to the hurricane. It looked different from what we had first seen on the site because of that, but the owner had sent us updated pictures. They had added some fun features, such as the waterfall shower. Due to the weather we didn't get to utilize the outdoor space as much as we would have liked. But when we could it was a great place to watch watch birds and admire the sunrise/sunsets.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great stay. The home was well-equipped with all the essentials. It was recently redone and there were plenty of outlets for all tech gear. We were able to enjoy the outdoor patio the 1st night we were there. Unfortunately, it rained the rest of the week, so we did not get to fish or kayak. A cold front came through and the electric fireplace in the living room was quick to warm up the room. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Getaway!

This property was recently fully renovated. Its beautiful and thoughtfully outfitted for guests. The location is outstanding. Its a bit out of the way, which is exactly what we wanted, yet close to all the amenities the local area offers. We would definately stay again!

Great place to stay!

The house was very clean and with many amenities. There is a long walkway that goes to the water out back. We utilized the crab trap and caught fish and a few blue crabs! It is located in a nice quiet area and not far from Rainbow River. Close to some smaller beaches that were not crowded a plus! We enjoyed our stay thank you!

Perfect Little Bungalow on the Water

This sweet little spot was just what we wanted for our weekend away. We caught blue crabs and fish off the dock. We also loved kayaking right off the dock. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine at night on the deck watching the light of the sky and the colors in the reflections on the water. It was very convenient to go enjoy a day of scalloping. I highly recommend the crab bisque at Backwater Fins just a few minutes down the road. In a cooler part of the year we probably would kayak over there to enjoy lunch on the deck.

Love Florida

We had a fabulous time at the bungalow. The wildlife around the home was amazing. We could hear wild turkey in the mornings, saw fish jumping, dolphins, sting rays & caught fish every single day right from the dock. We are a family that loves to kayak so being able to kayak right outside our bungalow was a plus. We explored the mangroves & hit several of the springs. Definitely eat at Pecks and if you ride down the road from Pecks, you can see amazing sunsets. We had a wonderful, fun time & didn’t want to leave! ❤️

Quiet Quaint Getaway

This property is described as a bungalow. It is a very accurate description. Everything within it and about it was clean, in good condition, comfortable and well-maintained. All the amenities provided and more than what was listed helped make our trip relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable. The location was exactly what we were looking for, private, on the water, fishing available on site and nearby. Caught a nice redfish the night I arrived off the dock. Caught fish, crabs in the crab trap and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. So wild turkeys, wild peacocks, a couple of wild chickens. Enjoyed the island feel of Ozello. Deck out back well equipped with comfortable furniture, used the grill, used the kayaks. Brought our own fishing gear. If you’re looking for a getaway to a quiet, quaint place to relax, fish a little and take it easy, this is the place.

So relaxing!

Quaint cabin right on the water. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views, access to kayaks, well-maintained dock that I loved having my morning coffee on each day. Absolutely no hustle and bustle. Perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend to paddle, fish, and relax.

Peaceful Retreat

We loved our stay in Crystal River. The house was clean and comfortable, but the real magic of the property was the outdoor space. The large deck and private dock allowed us to spend our time fishing, kayaking and enjoying the fresh air. The area was so quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We can’t wait to go back!

Quiet, peaceful, surrounded by nature

The house was very clean, had the important amenities, contact with the owner was seamless, beautiful remote location but not too far from civilization. We enjoyed our stay here. Only a couple things to note: the dryer doesn't work the best, we had to dry our clothes in town because it wasn't working. Most of the fishing poles have been used heavily and don't work the best. We ended up buying a cheap one from the store to use during our stay. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
