The open concept culinary kitchen is a treat for those who love to cook and a large 7’ long farm table is an ideal spot to eat, drink and spend time with friends wand family. The smell of fresh coffee will follow you up the stairs to the vaulted master bedroom – a gallery of windows, green leaves and starlight. The house is situated to take advantage of passive solar - the living areas face east and south while the screen porch and bedrooms are west and north. Our house is well insulated to keep you cool during summers with radiant floor heating in the lower level and baseboards in every room will keep you warm at night.

Girls weekend!

The property was close to town but just far enough off the beaten path to be private and surrounded by the tranquility of nature. Everything you need to enjoy a getaway with friends or family. Vermont at its finest!

Great location!

This was such a great location. So close to the town of Manchester but nicely tucked away that you feel you are farther away in the hills. A nice little retreat in the woods. Matthew was quick to get back with the questions i had. Itwas nice thbottoItwas nice that

Great place for exploring the Manchester area. Private, but not too far from town. Wonderful views of trees and nature from the patio and expansive windows.

Woodsy getaway

Just a few minutes from Manchester Center, the house and property provided a quiet, restful place to catch up with an old friend. We appreciated the high ceilings and lots of windows but the main floor rooms could use additional electrical lights --even after we located all the wall switches for kitchen area. The walkout basement with couch and tv provided the most comfortable seating and lighting for reading.

Beautiful home

This property was exactly as listed. It was a cute cabin-style house with a lot of natural lighting and was very clean.

Very Enjoyable!!

House was as described and in a beautiful location close to everything!! The only thing we didn't realize is that there was no cable television, but that was a minor item. House was well maintained, and had access to a brook as well as forest views. Would definitely consider renting again!!

Clean, open & comfortable

3 adults and one infant stayed in this home and it was very comfortable! We went to a wedding at the West Mountain Inn and the property was just about 20 min away- perfect. Hosts were prompt in replying to inquiries and providing information about our stay. There is plenty of room for 2 families! Down a nice long driveway- not right on the road. Set in the woods with great views of the trees- extremely tranquil. While our stay was great I would not recommend this house for people with young children. There are a few spots in the house that need attention if a small child would be staying in the home. The second floor has two good size areas that are open without railings that a small child could easily fall through. There is no door on the staircase leading to the basement where there is a living area- you would need to bring a baby gate if you had a walking toddler. The staircase doesn’t have a full railing either which isn’t ideal for children or people that have limited mobility. Overall the house is great and worked for us since our daughter isn’t walking. I would recommend it to families with children of ages 4+ at least.

Why they chose this property

There is not a better place to be with friends and family sitting by the stream, next to a camp fire or sharing a glass of wine around the dinning table.

What makes this property unique

Close to everything but so private. We are less than a minute to Manchester town center, 7 minutes to Bromley, 20 to Stratton and the famous Lye Brook Falls is a short walk from the house.
