About this property
The perfect place to stay for a relaxing and comfortable fishing getaway.
The home is located on Mamie Lake, which is the most southern lake of the Cisco Chain of Lakes and located 10 miles West of Land' O Lakes, Wi and only a mile off of Hwy B. This rental is geared towards fishing, relaxing, resting and enjoying the beauty of the Cisco Chain. If you want to fish the entire 15 lakes of the Cisco Chain, this is the place you want to stay. Ronald, the owner, lives next door and is a local fishing guide who has been fishing the chain for over 35 years and is on the water almost 7 days a week. He will do everything he can to help his guests catch fish no matter what species. If available, he'll even help guests clean their fish. You'll have access to a huge 50 by 25 foot deck ( 15 feet from the shoreline ) overlooking Mamie Lake to enjoy your morning coffee, grilling lunch/dinner or just rest, relax, listen to the loons, or just watch for eagles. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths is very comfortable for up to 7 guests. It's truly the best place to stay on the entire Cisco Chain if you just love to fish and want the best opportunity to actually catch fish.

We stayed for 3 nights for a recent fishing trip. Ronald was an excellent host with great information about fishing areas and techniques. There is a wonderful deck overlooking the lake with a fire pit. The use of the dock was great, especially the electric. All beds are comfortable. The house is superbly stocked with everything you can imagine. We will certainly return next year but for a bit longer. Thanks Ronald for all of your hospitality!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mamie Lake! Out host was amazing and was super helpful with pointers on how to fish the lake and where to fish (we had only WI fishing licenses). We caught more fish (and bigger fish) than we have in years.
We enjoyed hanging out on the deck. We rented a pontoon from Bent's Camp just across the lake. The house itself was clean, well stocked and comfortable.
Ron was a GREAT host! The check in/out process was easy and access to the lake was perfect. Everything we needed for our trip was provided from electric on the dock to the fish cleaning station. We will definitely be back!
The house was really nice and was everything we expected except from the pictures we expected it to be on the water. It was close and we had access to the dock you see in the pictures. The homeowner was fantastic and lives right there and even took us out fishing one day. He also sent us to a few spots where we caught fish. We loved the lake chain and the restaurant just down the road.
Had a great time on the Cisco chain. Ron was responsive and helpful. Vacation home had plenty of room and was fully supplied with amenities. Had a great time fishing and enjoying the Northwoods.
It was very good vacation
We experienced good weather(5days out of 7)
Good fishing, swimming, sun bath and lot of rest
The only one star less for advertising and description - we are in the boandary waters and actual address is in Michigan
For heavy fishers need both Wisconsin and Michigan licences
So we had to fish only on Wisconsin side
Otherwise - everything was good
Ron is a great host. Great place for a fishing trip. Would recommend staying with him.
VBRO description is very accurate. House was clean and comfortable. Ron was helpful with fishing information that was current at the time of our trip. Great place to stay on the chain.

Great Fisherman's Retreat
This is a great place to come if you there to fish. Ron is a most gracious host and goes out of his way to make sure that your stay is pleasant and that you CATCH FISH! This was most illustrated after my boat was taken out of commission due to hitting a submerged rock. Ron made sure that we had access to a boat, put me in touch with a reputable marina and took us out with him so that we could continue fishing. He even helped us clean all the fish we caught. Clearly Ron went above and beyond to ensure his guests had an enjoyable stay.
Although the residence does not have a view of the water, there is a very large deck on a neighboring structure available for use that overlooks the lake. The residence was clean and spacious and suited our needs for a comfortable stay.
Overall, it was a comfortable place to stay, but more importantly, Ron exhibited a level of service to his guests that is rarely seen today. Great place to stay, spend some time on the water and relax...and catch fish!
