Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains our cabin is just minutes from Lake Lure, The Tryon Equestrian Center, Chimney Rock, Hickory Nut Gorge, and other local attractions. This log cabin is the perfect place to get away while still enjoying all the amenities that make you feel at home. You will enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Wild Cats Spur on Sugar Loaf Mountain from your porch. Don't be surprised if you glimpse a flock of turkeys or the beautiful deer that call the surrounding woods their home. You can explore Asheville, Tryon, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many historic sites from this cabin. You are always minutes away from fishing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, zip lining, and other outdoor adventures!
This cabin is 1 bedroom / 1 bath 400 square feet with a loft. It will accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. The bedroom offers 1 queen size bed. There is also plenty of storage for your clothes. In the loft, you will find 2 twin size beds which is perfect for children or teens. The bathroom offers a tub/shower combo. Cook your meals in the fully equipped kitchen or enjoy the many local restaurants in the area. TVs with satellite are located in the living room and bedroom. The cabin offers couples quiet time away or families a wonderful place to make memories.

Very quiet and relaxing.

Very nice and peaceful ideal for a couple. Everything you need but still very much in the country with a nice Mountain View. We have AT&T for cellular service and you can usually make a call at the cabin with basic text, but Data and doing much on the Internet is nonexistent. But would definitely recommend the cabin for a very peaceful stay!

Thank you so much for the lovely stay! The cabin was well appointed, clean and in a very peaceful setting! My husband & I loved the proximity to amazing hiking trails and the convenience of a large grocery store only a few minutes away! We would definitely plan another stay and would not hesitate to recommend The Cabin’s at the Gap to friends and family!

Perfect Rest

My husband and I came for a quick escape from life. The cabin was awesome with everything you needed. Extremely clean! We met a huge wild turkey on our way in and had a big fat groundhog in the backyard. Would love to come back for another stay! Close to sooo much!

We brought our grandson on vacation for our second trip to the cabin. The cabin was just as great as the first time. Our grandson had a great time visiting lake lure and chimney rock. He also loved the loft. We can’t wait to go back. It’s one of our favorite areas. The hosts are extremely pleasant and respond quickly, however, there were no issues, just questions. We adore the cabin.

Peaceful cabin

Lovely cabin with all that we needed for a week of competition at Tryon International Equestrian Center. Very clean and well cared for property. Great location to get away from busy days and explore Lake Lure. Easy communication with hosts. Will definitely book in the future.

Beautiful Cabin tucked away in the Mountains

Beautiful Cabin tucked away from all the hussel and bussel !! This is a great little gem tucked away in the mountains off the screened in pourch. Beautiful views of the mountains. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The main bedroom the mattress was so comfortable. Best sleep ever!! Property owners are wonderful quick with response and granted an early check-in last minute which was very helpful!! It's perfect for a small family and if you are looking to be away this is a great place to go to and have a very remote quite setting. Its not a far drive into Lake Lure. Grocery store isn't far away.

Great find!

We stayed for a long and wet father/daughter (7 years old) weekend and used the cabin as “home base”. It was perfect. We spent time in the cozy cabin watching movies, eating snacks and just hanging out / sleeping in the loft (she loved that). It was also convenient to much of what we wanted to do (zip lining, lake time, horseback riding, etc.). One thing to note is that there are no open fires allowed on property. Not a huge issue, but something that could perhaps be more clear in the listing (unless I just missed it). With that said, I would definitely recommend and we’ll plan to stay again!

What a beautiful self-contained cabin in the mountains. So warm and cozy, and the view is breathtaking. A nice getaway with so many things to see and do locally. Such a magical place to create memories of a lifetime.

Great getaway

This a great little getaway outside Lake Lure. Just rural enough to be peaceful but not so far away you can't get to anything. The cabin is perfect two people, very cozy. There is also a loft with 2 twin beds. Everything you need is there in a small space. The only negative is no wifi, but there is 4G signal there so you can still use internet. Great view of the mountains from the porch if you like to read and have a cup of coffee. Definitely would stay here again.

Get away cabin

Actually this was our first time using VRBO the cabin was very nice. The location was perfect for our visit. There is one other cabin located on the property that is close but privacy is not an issue otherwise. We would highly recommend this cabin to others.

Peaceful stay

The cabins at the gap are in a quiet, peaceful area. The leaves were beautiful this time of year (Fall) and we went to a delicious winery 20 mins away…Parker Binns. No standing room in the loft but good for a girls getaway or family with older children that can be left unattended on the steel loft stairs.

Cozy stay

Julie called to see if the heat and electricity were working during a storm. The fireplace and decor made it a lovely get away. If I could offer a suggestion it would be to bring your antibacterial hand soap for the bathroom and foil and plastic wrap or zips for the kitchen with you.

2nd Honeymoon Adventures

Cabins at the Gap is just what the doctor ordered for peace and tranquillity! Luxuries of home in a beautiful setting that was perfect for our getaway! 8 days of beautiful adventures and a welcoming place to return after said adventures in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock!
